First the KKK...christian organization.
Then Jim Jones...christian organization.
Now Warren Jeffs...christian organization.
Why don't christians organize into a unifom religion that cleanses itself from within instead of just proclaiming "they aren't really christians"?
It has been far more profitable to keep irreconcilable differences going between the sects than to admit the incongruity of the original religion as a whole, and take the steps required for correction and acceptability(if there is any).

Add one part education and one part open-mindedness, with a dash of common sense.

Because a religion like that would be self-defeating. There is no such thing as a honest religion. They are all built on half-truths and fear.

Absolutely amazing! I realise many animals do learn through association and repetition, yet some show remarkable 'cognitive development'. Have seen it in some 'friends' of my own.
They are incredible creatures.

Yes but shouldn't Logic take hold, eventually, to remind one that division also shows weakness?

I agree, the weakness is the result of the divisions.
What seems odd to me is that they can not understand that.
The "I'm right and everyone else is wrong" mentality and the suckers that fall for it are apparently endless...and with that they manage to persist.

Many are literally trained to believe from birth. Like Pavlov's dog they are conditioned. If they ever try to start thinking for themselves they are told that it is "gods" way of "testing" them. This is where some of the fear is used. Most will waste their life away on religion. They were indoctrinated into this life.

Been there, done that, broke free 40+ years ago...
Tough journey however...it's hard to shake that childhood indoctrination.
Thankfully, Logic wins...

Hi Wiggley :D
Are you by any chance intimating that Christians are incapable of logical reasoning?

His mother was only 14 when his illegitimate birth occurred. He was dyslexic and dropped out of school in the 9th grade. And yet many followed and defended his 'religion'. Weird.

How about the same color as your perky little bunny tail? I've already got your rabbit's foot.

Not at all...only when it comes to the god-being and the religion associated with it.
The divisions reveal the weakness of religion and Logic requires one to consider that.

Glad you are still able to post here. Hopefully the flooding will soon subside.
