There are no universal answers. Each person is unique. Each person has uniquely different experiences. Why would any all-knowing God then expect the creations he supposedly created to all believe exactly the same way when their experience, knowledge and moral/ethical code does not allow them to? Stating beliefs as facts is as empty as the bottle with which the wino just got done. They are empty for everyone except for the person holding those beliefs. Whatever you think.

waaasssuuup wrote: <quoted text> oooohhh....grave mistake! don;t you understand from scripture that the false messiah (antichrist) will champion the rebuilding of the temple? i.e., your christ is my anti-christ and my Christ is your devil.... Silly child, your Jesus was only an itinerant preacher of Judaism - not a devil, not a god, nothing but a man. On the other hand, I am telling you what the prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel have to say about the Messiah. And you say that that is the anti-christ? Looks like the grave mistake is all yours...

Rosa Winkel wrote: <quoted text> Achtung! So y did they put so many homosexuals in concentration camps? This is in response to LA's post...I must have missed it. http://www.ushmm.org/museum/exhibit/online/hs... United States Holocaust Museum Between 1933 and 1945, Germany's National Socialist (Nazi) government under Adolf Hitler used its monopoly of authority to attempt to rid German territory of people who did not fit its vision of a "master Aryan race." Foremost among the so–called racial enemies, according to the Nazis' antisemitic ideology, were the Jews. When Germany's pursuit of "living space" led to World War II and the conquest of much of Europe, the Nazis undertook the systematic murder of every Jew in Europe. Many other groups were targets of persecution and even murder under the Nazis’ ideology, including Germans with mental and physical disabilities, homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Roma ("Gypsies"), Poles, and Soviet prisoners of war. Millions perished in this state–sponsored tyranny. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is dedicated to preserving the memory of all who suffered during this unprecedented tragedy. This online exhibition examines the campaign of persecution and violence against the homosexuals of Germany. The Nazi campaign against homosexuality targeted the more than one million German men who, the state asserted, carried a "degeneracy" that threatened the "disciplined masculinity" of Germany. Denounced as "antisocial parasites" and as "enemies of the state," more than 100,000 men were arrested under a broadly interpreted law against homosexuality. Approximately 50,000 men served prison terms as convicted homosexuals, while an unknown number were institutionalized in mental hospitals. Others—perhaps hundreds—were castrated under court order or coercion. Analyses of fragmentary records suggest that between 5,000 and 15,000 homosexual men were imprisoned in concentration camps, where many died from starvation, disease, exhaustion, beatings, and murder. In the racist practice of Nazi eugenics, women were valued primarily for their ability to bear children. The state presumed that women homosexuals were still capable of reproducing. Lesbians were not systematically persecuted under Nazi rule, but they nonetheless did suffer the loss of their own gathering places and associations. Nazi Germany did not seek to kill all homosexuals. Nevertheless, the Nazi state, through active persecution, attempted to terrorize German homosexuals into sexual and social conformity, leaving thousands dead and shattering the lives of many more.

Just do it and mean it... ya hear me Ya know, there is a world of difference between thinking that Jesus might have been the Messiah (ie Lord, aka King) and trying to pretend that he was a god. The first is merely human fallibility, the second is blasphemy and an abomination...

No, I'm not saying they have no purpose in this life, silly. That's not my call, nor am I qualified to do so. I was referring to the preaching here of the poster. They contradict themselves. Everyone is here for a reason, and although it may be incomprehensible to us what it is, it's not for us to judge. So that poster is a she? Irrelevant, the reason I stated that was that the poster said the blanket was not sent by God but by a boat. If that's the case, their preaching here is not sent by God either.

water_nymph wrote: <quoted text> I am not against anyone having a gun for protection. I am not against any person having guns to hunt. I am not against anyone having guns with which to shoot clay pigeons though I don't really see the necessity to kill small disks of clay. What I am against is having guns that shoot 30 rounds, rapid fire. I have never heard of a home invasion that took 30 rounds to stop the intruder or even intruders. You'd have to be an extremely lousy shot and shouldn't be trusted with a gun if you couldn't do it in 6. There is a big bruhaha about guns for two reasons: The NRA is rolling out the scare tactics that always work on gun nuts and Congress is making a point of making the NRA happy so they can continue to have their pockets lined. We need some restraints, but not a total ban on guns. That would be as stupid as allowing any type of weapon, including missile launchers and grenades in the hands of people like the guy who is threatening to kill the President if any gun bans are enacted. Crazy fools. If you have to show your license to get a pack of cigarettes or a beer, you should have to show your license to buy any type of firearms. What's so hard about that? I personally think you should have to have a background check to buy firearms. Those with nothing to hide won't mind and those who do will probably buy them on the black market, but it might stop someone in a fit of anger from killing someone right then. Now, I know I'm going to catch hell for my views, but I'm good with that. And, to go further. Having armed officers in schools is the beginning of a police state. Make changes in the school buildings so that people can't just walk in, walk down a hall and start shooting. Safer buildings is the answer. Guns in schools are not. One crazy janitor or teacher armed is as dangerous as someone walking in off the street. Really, moreso. They're already there and armed with permission. Hmm, here in Los Angeles, we have had several riots over the years. For home defense, I want a good semi auto rifle with a 100 round C-clip, one powerful enough that it can get through basic body armor if need be. A pistol is only going to be protection from a single burglar, at best...

As usual, you deflect from the subject of the post to which you replied but decide to pick one word of the post and focus on that instead of your behavior, which was the subject. Thanks for continuing to help kill off your religion with every post. You are doing more for the cause of exposing the hate and derision in your religion than anyone outside it could ever hope to do. We also know their damn' Books, their mythology, their history, their hagiography, and their mythological antecedents better than they do. Not to mention science.
