How can she and I be the same person if we're half a country apart? You stupid fucktard. Cute trick. Just like Vikings. LOL

But it will warm up to about 50 tomorrow. <quoted text> Aww, man! Here in southern Oregon we're barely above freezing at high noon! No snow, but ice and frost everywhere. It looks like a winter picture out of National Geographic. Really pretty, but friggin' cold! Be prepaired for a cold day in hell witch. If you mock GOD he will mock you. Your broom stick won't help you escape on judgement day. Witches go to hell forever.

Be "prepaired" to learn how to spell. Why are fundamentalists always so illiterate? How can an omnipotent be mocked? The only hell that exists is the projected irrational and childish fear of something that doesn't demonstrably exist, much like your brain cells.

G_O_D wrote: <quoted text> Because I come to my own interpretations of ancient texts ? That what I was trained to do as a historian. Anyone can repeat what someone else thinks. Christians do that constantly. <smile> Sure but there's a difference between hermeneutic interpretation and just ginning up a whole different version not evident in the text just to watch their eyes spin around. All I'm sayin'.....;)

All I'm sayin'.....;) I think it is quite evident in the text esp. when compared to the other accounts. 'John' is also the least reliable and most 'adapted' of the sources as well. Do you really think Jesus said ANY of that ? While Hermeneutics is used to understand the "author's" intent, it does not address what the reality underlining the author's content is.

Odd, that there's a near one-to-one correspondence between subliteracy and fundamentalism. At least on Topix. And we're supposed to believe that these undereducated illiterati can read and understand the Elizabethan English of their Bible? They can't even handle Shakespeare, for Bog's sake.

G_O_D wrote: <quoted text> The "Here is your son" line is also used to allude to Jesus' son being there and Mary M. being the mother. IMHO the only interpretation is that only women were present and any conversation was to them. It is difficult to imagine a beaten and crucified person talking as much as Jesus is alleged to have done. However, a stream of screams and profanities doesn't make for good "divine narrative". I am inclined to believe that Mark is the most believable account: "God! God! Why have you betrayed me!" How can there be so many different versions or interpretations of the same thing. Why don't the christian priests and things sit down and clear this up? But that means Jesus was not God and he didn't know God's plan. He lost faith in his own belief. So why do christian's keep calling Jesus God then?
