If it were, you would have no NEED to make that claim.
That doesn't even make sense. Do you even hear yourself speak? Hell is no more real than Santa's house at the north pole.

I think they are as honest as they can be. They just have no facts to back their position, and faith is required of them. throw in the fact they are taught their cause is right and just and the fight is against evil..........

Thats a pretty tight corner to be backed into..........I fought like hell for awhile myself while backed in there..........JMO.
Yowza!

Been there, done that.

Readers certainly notice that you're the one who made the unfounded claim.

send me the authorized historic documents and i'll take a peeksee & get back to you about what i think of them.

Well....he was a man, most men would if they could, I doubt he had to force or trick anyone. I love his music. MJ did much worse, if the hype is true.

just giving you some facts is all. why is it fundies hate facts.

if you were a young girl say around 18 and a bigger than life celeb asked you to get naked and do things with another girl, for his pleasure.....would you refuse him?!!!!!! after all it is rumored that he was a sweet talker!

as for his music......yes it was good!

as for MJ, i believe he did what he was accused of. you know he was a JW but was excommunicated.

I understand what you were saying. It's a lovely concept, but reality often sh*ts on concepts.
It was the choice of words that hit home.
I understand the ideas of giving one's child to God, like the folklore of Hannah and Samuel, or the stories of Abraham and Isaac or Jephthah and his virgin daughter. Originally, the Jephthah story is probably closest to the idea of giving a child to God. I just don't think Christians think of the implications when they rotely babble off their religious platitudes, while making decisions for their children.
I understand the idea of a parent being proud of their child for serving their country, and watching the military turn their often immature kids into productive adults. The difference is, I would think, that every caring parent has often thought of the implications, during a time of war, when their child joins the military. A choice the child made.
I have just never met any of those millions of parents who happily sent their child off to die for their country.
But I don't get out much.
when my son joined the military, i was proud of him. but also i was scared. and had it not been for some of the wonderful people on this thread, including WN and MWD, i wouldn't have been able to get thru the time he was in afghanistan.

i do not agree with the war. but i support all those who went to fight it.
