Wrong.

Yo, G
You'll have to clarify exactly where you found that "He got up and went home" reference. May I recommend a careful re-read of GoMark. It's a quick read.
If one is to take GoMark at his word, which one can do, one should use those words, eh? The resurrection is a theme of the book.
The words, pretty clearly placed on the lips of a young man, dressed in white at the empty tomb:
Mark 16:6
But he said to them,泥o not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has been raised ( egeirō )! He is not here. Look, there is the place where they laid him.
BTW, when I argue with Christians, I always tell them that I have G_O_D on my side, so be a pal and just nod and smile like a good deity.
*wink*
Gooda see ya.
.... He is risen! He is not here...He is going before you into Galilee.....

In the Greek, "He is risen" is simply "arose" as in "woke up" "got up" etc. It has no zombie connotations.

"Into Galilee" The place of his origins, "Home"

Thus, Mary is told "He got up and went home."

BTW, <nod> <smile>

Most Christians like to claim they are "born again"...changed through God's grace. They will also claim these changes don't take place over night. I find that a bit a cop out...an excuse...should not this change be immediate? Some claim that it is.
The change is positional. From positional enemies to positional peace with God. It does not necessarly require dramatic change in personality. If i look over my life in the past year things have improved dramatically.

I would say you can have high expectations of other people in general and Christians but in the process serenity is forfeited. I like a qoute from Alcoholics Anonymous book involving a Professor in the personal stories section. His serenity is directly proportional to his acceptance and inverse proportion to his expectations of other people. Most Christians are very decent people. I know! They put up with me. Done all they could to help me, again and again. Came to see me in jail. These are busy people. PH.Ds, People in business. So your perception of Christians and mine are dramatically different. I had to get to know them and they me. Knowledge is a windbag and love is a builder.

Thanks for the interpretation.

Ignoring context is never a good idea, IMO.

Mar 15:37 But Jesus cried out with a loud voice and breathed his last.

Mar 16:6 But he said to them,泥o not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has been raised! He is not here. Look, there is the place where they laid him.
