If you want to argue that there is enough evidence to support the existance of a 1st cent. wandering preacher named Jesus then many historians will agree.

It is when you claim him to have risen from the grave, become God and all the nasty crap you did in life is now OK, then you haven't an academic leg to stand on.

This one isn't a music vid. It's the Atheist Experience show. I highly recommend it.

What do you think happened to this Jesus that many Historians agree existed?

My thoughts exactly. The line gets crossed when the supernatural enters the picture.

That is all i am arguing for at this point. Atheist, agnostic, Muslem, worldwide and for centuries before. There is perhaps a handful who are Jesus mythers.

Worry about all the nasty crap you did in life. I would not be Christian if i did not believe He rose from the dead and anyone who calls themselves Christian and does not believe He rose from the dead is deluded and wrong. You are right. Many historians do not believe He rose from the dead. Many here belive Jesus is a fictional character or claim ignorance. The problem many have is explaining what happened after He died given all that is known. Ehrman simply concludes he does not know what happened. He does not believe resurrection happened.

That is based on anti supernatural assumption which apply to all events at all times. Based on the less than 1% of all there is to know you actually know.

Actually, what we do not know is itself an unknown, and that can never change.

We may even know everything there is to know, but would never know that, because what is knowable is unknown until it is known. You can never know what you do not know.

"Anti-supernatural?" You love conflict so much you even have to make up aggressive concepts that cannot not exist. Natural is the opposite of supernatural, putting anti- in front of it doesn't do anything but butcher the English language.

Rarely does anyone refer to Reasonable Expectation as the non-religious faith we all realize.

I remember when my daughter was about three...

I got her a Super Soaker 2000. Told her it was okay to use it in the house, and no, the cat really liked it.

Well, I couldn't find a set of bagpipes small enough for her.

We? If what you do know is unknown then why should anyone believe you?
You can never know what you do not know.
Yes you cna. It is called learning.

Cannot not exist? Is that the proper use of English language?

To the last point, no, it's not, waiting for new glasses in the mail, ordered them yesterday.

First point, what?

Second point, but you cannot know what you don't know, you can learn what you don't know, two different topics.

You call it anti supernatural assumption.
I call it religious supernatural assumption.
Your religion requires assumption for it's very existance and validity.

Based on what everyone knows.
