prove that you don't hate God by loving His Words & his sons & daughters:)

Hi!((big hug!!)) Don't worry, he'll out-do himself. Give 'im time, give 'im time...
Gotta go!
Hey, y'all!!
Nice nic. Why try to prove a negative.

Next time, the challenge might be "Prove you love the Divine, by loving the creation of the Divine."

Difficult to prove a negative, but easy to prove the Divine. Just look in a mirror, and thank the Divine you know what a 'mirror' is.

Is not how history works. It is an arbitary standard.
If you choose to believe that these are 'historical' sources as proof of Jesus, fine.
Expert historians do. You know better?
But they are still second (to 50th)hand sources.
BS.
There is not ONE single writing during the time Jesus lived. Not one.
Where are the sources from the time Alexander lived? Hannibal?

If you want to argue that there is enough evidence to support the existance of a 1st cent. wandering preacher named Jesus then many historians will agree.

It is when you claim him to have risen from the grave, become God and all the nasty crap you did in life is now OK, then you haven't an academic leg to stand on.

What do you think happened to this Jesus that many Historians agree existed?

My thoughts exactly. The line gets crossed when the supernatural enters the picture.

That is all i am arguing for at this point. Atheist, agnostic, Muslem, worldwide and for centuries before. There is perhaps a handful who are Jesus mythers.

Worry about all the nasty crap you did in life. I would not be Christian if i did not believe He rose from the dead and anyone who calls themselves Christian and does not believe He rose from the dead is deluded and wrong. You are right. Many historians do not believe He rose from the dead. Many here belive Jesus is a fictional character or claim ignorance. The problem many have is explaining what happened after He died given all that is known. Ehrman simply concludes he does not know what happened. He does not believe resurrection happened.
