<quoted text>She didn't say anything about being able to 'handle it'. She said that there are some who can't appreciate art for what it is...beautiful...and have to make something obscene out of it. That's an explanation of her post since you don't seem to be able to read.
Dr Reality couldn't get that picture out of his mind. He must have called me every name in the book for using that picture. He even went so far as to say that the same thing would happen to me that happened to a woman in a movie that he watched. She was a prostitute...she was beaten...raped...and then murdered. How's that for Christian love.

Funny thing is...the name of that piece of art is..."Eve in the Garden"! LOL

I suppose that they prefer to see Eve depicted as a misshapen woman with a fig leaf over each breast and a couple covering her pubic area...go figure!

I love that piece and have missed it since I took it down...might have to put her back where she belongs!:-)

Geesh...much todo about a bare back and a slight glimpse of one breast. More than that shows in most bathing suits.

I have done it all babe. Been there and back and around all of it. You live a life of lies and guesses. You will die as all humans do at most...80 years. Nothing to be proud about eh? You have your chance as I, to better ourselves. You reject all of it, I tread carefully accepting it with discretion. Make your mark, an unknown mark in this world...you will be forgotten by all who have ever heard your putrid name of doubts.
i have been in the medical profession for almost 30yrs. i know all about death. death doesn't scare me. i live each day. one day at a time. seeing the beauty in each day. i hug my children and granddaughter and tell them i love them. i hug my husband and tell him how lucky i am to have him. i make each day count.

i don't fret about what comes afte death. making a hedge bet hoping to get my pie in the sky. you are afraid, to realize that humans are mortals.

your boogey man doesn't scare me.

most people [on the internet] who brag and boast about "doing it all and seen it all" are pretending.

longevity or not, runs in families. then there is lifestyle. that plays a part in how long you live.

i have a friend, her grandmother is going to be 107 in two months. the lady still lives in her home. she still cooks, does her laundry, sews, quilts, crochets and has a garden each year.

she is amazing! and an inspiration! she has a wonderful sense of humor.

she tells everyone LIVE EACH DAY ONE AT A TIME AND DON'T WASTE ONE MINUTE DWELLING ON SHOULDA-COULDA-WOULDA.

this lady raised 7 children. i love her to pieces.

if my day comes tomorrow, the only thing i will regret is missing milestones in my children and grandchildren's lives. nothing more nothing less.

<quoted text> The Greek for risen is 'egeiro'. It is the exact same Greek word used in Luke 24:6 and Matt.24:6. Basically the same verse in in all three Gospels. The meaning is obvious.
<quoted text> The body was not there and the text says as much.
This is the meaning of the word 'egeiro' as used in Greek at the time the words were written in all three gospels:

1) to arouse, cause to rise
a) to arouse from sleep, to awake
b) to arouse from the sleep of death, to recall the dead to life
c) to cause to rise from a seat or bed etc.
d) to raise up, produce, cause to appear
1) to cause to appear, bring before the public
2) to raise up, stir up, against one
3) to raise up i.e. cause to be born
4) of buildings, to raise up, construct, erect

Nothing about resurrection in that at all.

Why did you change your name?

Doesn't it, though!

By the way, I guess your question to me about the 'res dude' is answered by now. I didn't expect him/her to actually answer my question or to return. I did expect a new sock to show up and was not disappointed.

Oh well, another down.

This painting reminds me of your avatar.

http://www.dailypainters.com/paintings/184299...

I suppose that they will consider her a harlot too.

It is my understanding that it is a piece that was copied from the Sistine Chapel...painted by Michelangelo...commissioned by the Pope at that time (1500's). The work on the ceiling consists of several nude paintings of both male and female.

So I don't know what happened...seems that at one time they weren't such prudes!

that's why the tommy/comic-book that you like better wasn't included, cuz it contradicts the rest;)
This goes to show you know absolutely nothing about the writings that were done almost simultaneously to those that were chosen for you by the Catholic Church and the Emperor Constantine.

Every time you type, you show your willful ignorance.

i'll site the same citation from the comic book that you usually site, something to the effect: "to know yourself is to understand the kingdom of God"
this philosophy is a far cry from the 'authorized' testimonies which speak much of dying to self in order to find life;)
this is NOT rocket science folks.....
Yeah...authorized by the Catholic church you claim isn't Christian and Emperor Constantine. Haha. And you still abide by their decisions, don't question them one bit and don't study enough to even know the book they chose for you.

<quoted text> I'M not guessing but going by the accounts. Don't know what you are doing. I do not go by a picture when there are at least five written accounts which includes Paul. All state the same. Bodily resurrection. You suggest spiritual and not body which means the body would still be there. There was no body there and you cannot inject assumptions into the text which is alien.
Paul never met Jesus. He wasn't present when Jesus taught, which is probably why he doesn't seem to know what Jesus taught and why he taught in direct opposition to Jesus on many things. At least in the Bible you use.

If they actually followed the teachings of Jesus they would be plucking their eyeballs from their sockets.

"If thine eyes offend thee, pluck them out."

Instead they blame everyone but themselves.

They are, for the most part, a pack of cowards, liars and frauds... and prove it daily.

why would there be a scriptual citation from a book written 2000+ years ago regarding a book that only emerged in recent years???
again....not rocket science, pal;)
The fact that it was found with other early gospels such as The Acts of Peter and the Twelve later than other texts were found does not give you the age of the texts.

Biblical experts have placed the writing of the Gospel of Thomas between 40 AD and 140 AD, earlier than some of the writings you accept as authentic.

You really are just willfully ignorant.

There were no 'original' documents from which the Bible you use today was translated. There have been no originals found to this very day. Yet books that could possibly be originals, you totally discard because in 325 AD Constantine ordered a conclave of bishops to make decisions for you. That's just hilarious.

That is the crux of the matter, pun intended.

That Christinaity refuses to admit the truth about its creation is the prime reason to reject it as truth.

Interesting analogy, btw: Christianity and National Socialism.
There is a group of people in the US which deny the holocaust ever took place. I guess that's why there may be a need.

Well, for Christians they are. But for others, not at all.
