Full story: Detroit Free Press

When? By who? "Marriage" has been all sorts of things over time: most commonly as a way of controlling property (women being property as well as goods and money.) Is that the traditional form of marriage you endorse? Or perhaps, as in the bible, polygamy is the form of marriage you endorse. There were also many cultures including early christianity that endorsed same sex marriages.

Marriage is an institution designed to protect women and children who need financial support in case the husband/father abandons them or dies.

Homosexuality is a mental illness and those who practice it should be locked up in the nuthouse for the demented. Homosexuals are like psychopaths: about 1 percent of the population and mentally ill.

Up until 1973, the American Psychiatric Association classified homosexuality as a mental illness. They eventually declassified it after the militant gays did their usual dramatics, including protests, threats, and lawlessness. While it is still a mental illness, the classifiers dare not list it as one to avoid the rapture of the angry gay fairy.

Can you validate early Christianity endorsed same sex marriages.

California's central valley is firmly against the farce called same sex "marriage"...They act like this is morally equvalent to the civil rights movement, and not even the black community buys it. In reality, it's about them deconstructing and diluting the family. Turning "Mother and Father" into "Partner A and Partner B", eventually there would legally be a "Partner C"...Let them prance around in drag waving rainbow flags, and further grossing people out by kissing. Let them get this on the ballot again, so that Californians can vote it down a third time...In the meantime we will defend DOMA.
Translation: I'm affriad of the inevitable gay marriage, but I'm completely in denial of fighting against the inevitable change will victorious, I complain so much about the gay marching even though I have every right to protest as much they have right to protest.

I would like to know also.Christianity in Christs time and even much before said Marriage is between a man and a woman. In the Old Testament polygamy was allowed but in the New Testament it was stopped.Homosexuality was never ever endorsed by the Bible.
The phrase "husband of one wife" is literally a "one-woman man" in the original Greek (mia/j gunaiko.j a;ndra - mias gynaikos andra). The emphasis in the Greek language ison the word "one," as it is found in the emphatic position.
1 Corinthians 6: 9-11
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.read Genesis 19:4-5; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26-27; I Timothy 1:9-10, it seems clear. Lest we forget, homosexuality is no worse a sin than hatred, gossip, doubt, unbelief, rage, rebellion and theft. But it is a sin.

Jesus died for you also and what do you do with that gift? You spit in the faces of those Jesus never spoke against. Your price could possibly be higher then those that don't believe in Jesus because of your choices.

There is no comparison here. This is apples and oranges. Largely the African-American community says this is not the same.

So a fight for a right is not a fight for a right and discrimination is not discrimination unless you are black?

Your argument has never made sense.

First I NEVER spit in anyones face, don't twist what I said!! Second... I don't make the rules GOD does!! The Bible is VERY CLEAR on this issue study what it says. Jesus did in fact speak against it!! Third... Your saying my choice to believe Gay life is not O.K. will cause my realationship with Jesus Christ to be separated. You talk to him about that. When someone calls Christians = HATE... you can bet I'm going to lash out. I never spread hate for gays. Fourth... There is no greater price to be paid than one who either rejects Jesus or does not believe in him. Your so wrong on that. don't put word in other people's mouth. Your post is outrageous!!!

Homosexuality is not a right. If you want to practice it then go ahead but do not expect the rest of us to give you rights that were not given by our Founding Fathers and especially by our Holy Father. The argument would make sense if you would only clear up the cloud of sin that is prevailing.

Why should we have to even bother with your concept that our being homosexual is sinful? You have a right to your beliefs and a right to express them, but what you don't have the right to do is to enforce your beliefs onto others who do not hold them. You enjoy a freedom of religion and we enjoy a freedom from it. What you believe your "Holy Father" to believe is fine and dandy for your place of worship, but since there is no consensus as to what he believes, his voice in the public square can and should be limited as to what OUR civil law turns out to be on this or any other subject.

What you fail to realize is that the "founding fathers" gave us our rights, even though they weren't recognized at that time, equal protection and due process under the law is meant for EVERYONE, even for those of us who are Lesbian and Gay...

Daily Horoscope for November 12

Cancer

You'll be quite happy at home tonight, as the Moon transits your fourth house of home and family; however, your mate may want to go out on the town. You'll be torn between what you want to do and what your most significant other desires. Don't go out if you think you will be miserable; that will only start a fight. Be honest about the way you feel, and don't be hurt if you spend the evening alone this time.
