Sarah Palin lacks what the GOP needs most

Is Sarah Palin the answer the Republican Party is looking for? Not likely. Palin's abrupt announcement that she's quitting as governor of Alaska may be part of a long-term strategy that leads to the Oval Office.

Stepping down to pursue a higher goal and leaving your job in the hands of a trusted subordinate, or keeping it as a safety net and a source of taxpayer-funded income and perks while neglecting its duties and responsibilities as you spend nearly all your time campaigning for your next job, like most pols today do? Palin just stated her goals today: "less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security, and much-needed fiscal restraint." That's what the GOP needs.

The simplistic appeal of Palin to some Americans is mind boggling (perhaps they have low expectations). Palin can hardly assemble a coherent sentence and it is inconceivable that she would be able to deal with the complexities of government, economic recession, complex reforms, etc. Compared to Palin Obama is an intellectual giant and man that can sting words and sentences together in a high meaningful way.

Obama is NOT the problem with the economy, the only problem he has is he isn't raising taxes ENOUGH on the extremely wealthy. The economy will snap out of the Bush Recession but in the meantime not nearly enough's being done for those truly suffering, not the whining Wall Street CEOs we hear about, but the people really in need.
