Services set for Vidor man killed in wreck

"UPDATE: Funeral services have been set for a 42-year-old Vidor man who died in an automobile accident on Monday night.

A visitation is being held for Teddy Joe Springs on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 1750 Highway 12 in Vidor, according to the funeral home's website.

A service is planned for 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Providence Cemetery in Rosepine, La.

Springs, a father of five, was a self-employed contractor and served in the U.S. Army, according to his funeral home obituary.

UPDATE: A 42-year-old Vidor man has died after being ejected from a pickup truck this evening.

Teddy Joe Springs, 42, of Vidor, died at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital at 6:13 p.m., according to a dispatcher at the Texas Department of Public Safety.

At about 5 p.m. today, a 2003 Dodge pickup was traveling at an unsafe speed going eastbound on Duncan Wood Lane when the driver left the roadway and hit a speed limit sign and a tree, according to the TxDPS.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected, according to DPS.

UPDATE: One person has died after an automobile accident in Orange County.

The accident occurred on Duncan Wood Lane off of FM 105, according to a dispatcher with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The Enterprise previously reported that a motorcycle was involved, but dispatchers are unsure what type of vehicle was in the accident.

Troopers are still investigating at the scene.

Stay with The Enterprise as more information becomes available.

Previous reporting:

At least one person has been transported to the hospital after an automobile accident in Orange County that involved a motorcycle.

A report of the accident came over the police scanner at about 5:30 p.m.

The accident happened on S. Highway 105, according to a dispatcher at Orange County Emergency Services District 1. A cross street was not available.

One person was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, according to information heard on a police scanner"

So X was driving unsafely, scoffing the law by speeding and not buckling up, probably under the influence too.
He never was too bright.
Too bad he didn't realize it sooner.

We're "lagomorphs" just rodents with a little extra enamel on Our teeth, I never referred to the recently deceased as a "rodent" and it's not "chief".
