Unbelievable.

We've only had currency in this country for more than 232 years.

So now what? braille currency? That would discriminate against the seeing.

If you are blind and are handed a $50 bill there is nothing in place for you to determine that it is not a $1 bill. I believe they are suggesting going to the method of currency used in most other countries by varying the size of the bills. This way, blind people can tell a $5 from a $20 without taking a sighted persons word for it. I'm surprised it's taken this long to do something.
