As evidenced by skyrocketing teen pregnancy rates, clearly the parents were not handling the responsibility very well.
Their age of consent is 16 so I'd predict pregnant teens.

A sex ed agenda for kindergarten kids really only cuts down on the pedos grooming time because kids don't need to know these things at that age.

It is laughable that this sex ed is being played off as an effort to protect the child.

Which kindergarten kid would be respected by a pedo if the kid said no?

None of them.

Which of those kids is strong enough or able to wield a weapon enough to defend their no?

None of them.

They are being taught something that they cannot use, employ or enforce.

These kids are not sexually attracted to one another and will not be for many years to come, they have no viable use of this knowledge in the event that a pedo tries to manipulate them so there has to be some ulterior motive in teaching kindergarten kids these things.

We homeschooled during Jr HS years and I am so happy we did. Kids get exposed to way too much stupid curriculum and human debris going thru puberty. Unfortunately states are making it more difficult for parents to homeschool.

As for sex ed for the kinders. Don't you think thats a bit young? Don't you think things like this should be taught by parents? Keep this BS in the UK.

It's sad that children this young need to be told these things in the name
of protecting them from"bad touch". Unfortunately, too many children worldwide have experienced bad touches.

It depends what kind of education is being provided. I am all for "don't let anyone touch you" and "tell your parents if anything happens". Beyond that, it isn't necessary.

Besides, with the dull personalities and the bad teeth...is this really a problem?

Regardless of whether or not the kid is aware of proper and improper touching, the fact remains that no pedo is going to respect the kid if the kid says no.

Since the pedo is going to do what they want anyway against the kids will this makes the educators in themind of the kid appear as liars because the kid was given false security in being lead to believe that bad touching would or will stop if the kid says no.

So, the kid grows up not only to hate the pedophile but also the authority figure.

Sheltering children from the real world leaves them vulnerable. We have taught our chidren to live in fear and hopelessness and helplessness. Our society is filled with anxious, depressed people scared of the what ifs, medicating themselves with anti-depressants and ultimately causing more harm. Education is the key to empowerment. Providing children education at any age is important to the self esteem and future independence. The odds of being struck by lighting are greater that of being abducted. We need to teach our children about their bodies and to be able to communicate when they are uncomfortable and not fill their heads with what ifs. Let's be real here. Animals have sex...rabbits f**ck, we need to teach our children that when we do this, we reproduce. It's that simple.

Why am I getting an image of a bunny holding a cigarette? Interesting comment.

At that age, let kids be kids.

As usual the sensationalism around an issue is going to create tunnel vision, in this case it's especially sad since we're talking about something that has to do with development and clearly many adults are behind in that area. I'm not a parent or any kind of expert,(neither are most parents but apparently even the immature, Jerry Springer guests often feel they are) but it seems self evident that often circumstances in life simply forces you to deal with something you are not ready for. Believe it or not I can appreciate the vulnerability felt by parents, but the fact of the matter is even if you have ample resources you can only do so much to shelter your children for so long - that's just being realistic. We need to use our heads rather than have this simplistic attitude of for this or against that, as if that did very much. Yes even our "leaders" are guilty of this behavior, but there's no need to have low standards. If you are the smart one in your child's life they will look up to you no matter what they teach in school, but that means we gotta work on ourselves first.

Yes I do think that kindergarten is too young. These children should remain children and teaching this crap makes them grow up faster than they should. I also agree that it should be taught by the partents in a way that does not scare the kids to death. I tell you what, someone tried to teach this crap to my child when they were in kindergarten, I would have first been jumping up and down on the teachers desk, then pulled my kids out of the liberal pondsucking school. I will teach my kids what they need to know when I feel they are ready to know. Liberalism has proven itself over and over to be the root of 90% of the evil in this world.

That's right - teach your child that to be open minded is idiotic and the only right way to deal with problems is to react violently.
That's a much better solution.
You would probably rather have your kid learn it from Rush Limbaugh.

EXACTLY. I love how some of these freaks on here think that providing children with information is somehow related to pedophilia.

Boy, they sure start them off early across the pond.

I see absolutely no compelling reasons why you need to teach kids in kindergarten sex ed. I bet Pete Townshend is really excited about this, however.

Yea, but are people growing up damaged because they were not taught sex education in kindergarten? Don't you think the solution should at least somewhat match the problem? I cannot trace any of today's problems to the fact that kids are not taught about sex in kindergarten. Am I missing something?
