Ariz. shooter shows little reaction to life sentence; mother sobs; Giffords hugs husband

The Associated Press - PHOENIX

Former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords hugged her husband after a judge sentenced the man who shot her and killed six people to life in prison.

Jared Loughner showed little response to the sentence, which he'd agreed to in a deal that kept him from a federal death sentence. He watched people and appeared to be paying attention. He wore dress pants and a dark brown shirt with a tie.

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran's defense minister said Friday that a U.S. drone violated Iranian airspace a week ago when Pentagon says the pilotless aircraft came under fire. The U.S. maintains the drone was over international waters.

IRAN SHOT IT DOWN BUT THE PENTAGON MAFIA CRIMINALS ARE TOO FRIGHTENED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

Iran lost nearly twice as many soldiers as the Iraqis did in the Iran-Iraq war that lasted eight years and ended in a stalemate. In 1990 we slaughter the Iraqis with such mechanized efficiency that it was Bush who called a halt to it after only 100 hrs.
I think the Iranians noticed. They are not a stupid people.

The Chinese government has finally made a tentative agreement with North Korea to buy their bountiful harvest of dead children. Food in both countries is in short supply, and since life is cheap there, both communist states will benefit from the protein.

U.S. Rejects Calls to Boycott Companies with Israel Ties

The United States on Oct. 25 rejected a U.N. report calling for the boycott of companies with commercial activities with Israelis living in the West Bank.

The report to the U.N. General Assembly (UNGA) was issued by Richard Falk, the U.N. special rapporteur for the Palestinian territories.

In the report, Falk recommends that U.N. member states and their citizens “boycott, divest and sanction” thirteen companies, including HP, Caterpillar and Volvo.

In an official statement, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice described the calls from Falk as “irresponsible and unacceptable.” Rather than providing the UNGA with ways to advance peace between Palestinians and Israelis, Ambassador Rice expressed disappointment that Falk’s report instead “poison[ed] the environment for peace.”

Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that ... I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it."

Canada, Israel call for UN investigator's resignation
Allege bias against special investigator on human rights in Palestinian territories

The Associated Press

Israel, the U.S. and Canada all rejected Richard Falk's report, accusing the UN special rapporteur of bias against Israel and calling for his removal.

In a report presented to the UN General Assembly, Falk said a number of Israeli-owned and multinational corporations headquartered in the U.S., Europe and Mexico appear to be violating international human rights and humanitarian laws by exploiting Palestinian resources and helping Israel construct illegal settlements and provide security for them. However, he said further investigations will be made to determine whether the allegations are well-founded.

THE UNITED STATES AND ITS APARTHEID ALLY ISRAEL ARE ONE BIG HUMAN-RIGHTS DEBACLE AS SHOWN BY THE SHIVERING MASSES IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA AND OF THE PALESTINIANS IN OCCUPIED PALESTINE.

Obama second term: What it means for Africa
Comments (17)

Some people on this continent expected more from the son of man who grew up herding goats in a village in western Kenya.

President Barack Obama made only one, cursory trip to sub-Saharan Africa during his first term, and at the time made it fairly clear that he would not be smothering the continent with attention.

Some people on this continent expected more from the son of man who grew up herding goats in a village in western Kenya.

OH, THIS MUST MAKE THE MONKEY-BRAINS THINKERS IN THE UNITED STATES HAPPY AS OBAMA'S FATHER AS A CHILD WAS A HARD WORKER IN KENYA, HERDING GOATS WHERE HE WAS BORN IN KENYA, DISQUALIFYING OBAMA AS A LEGAL CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

ONE GOOD THING ABOUT THE U.S. GUN LAWS IS WHEN THE TIME COMES FOR REAL CHANGE THE MASSES WILL NOT TOO OFTEN MISS WHEN THEY SHOOT AT THEIR CORRUPT POLIITCIANS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.

The People's Republic of China suffers from widespread corruption. For 2011, China was ranked 75th out of 178 countries in Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index, ranking above fellow BRIC nations India and Russia, but below Brazil and most developed countries. Means of corruption include graft, bribery, embezzlement, backdoor deals, nepotism, patronage, and statistical falsification.

Official corruption is among the populace's greatest gripes against the regime. One folk saying vividly illustrates how the public sees the issue, according to Yan Sun: "If the Party executes every official for corruption, it will overdo a little; but if the Party executes every other official for corruption, it cannot go wrong."

What's even funnier is that many more americans die at the hands of their own countrymen than any terrorist organisation over in some forgotten fleah bitten country. Instead of fighting a war on terror, their troops should come home and fight a war on dickheads instead.

Corruption in China has developed in two major ways. In the first mode, corruption is in the form of ostensibly legal official expenditure, but is actually wasteful and directed toward private benefits.

Many corrupt local officials have turned their jurisdictions into virtual “mafia states,” where they collude with criminal elements and unsavory businessmen in illegal activities.
