The Jeeps in Vietnam that I stole (I mean "borrowed") could not be stopped, except by a 155 howitzer shell. So either you're full of shit or you're talking about some sort of specific vehicle used by civilian contractors, etc. attached to MACV.
In any case I don't believe that "AMC" was even put together in the mid-60's. As far as I know the Nash, Rambler (and whatever) went by its' original name. It's true that the Javelin, Marlin and AMX went by the AMC name-tag but I don't think it came out till late 60's ..... No?
Ps. That AMX was a "looker".
The difference in the Jeeps was the grill, in the '60's/'70's, the NATO spec grill was horizontal, Ford/Willys were vertical as they are currently.
I can't argue about the AMX.....
