No country, no uniform, no rules of engagement, no ...

President Bush’s administration is reluctantly adopting the recent decision of the Supreme Court. As a matter fact, the Islamic terrorists thugs in Guantanamo are already being treated in accordance with Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions, which specifies how prisoners must be treated, and they are having there good time… literally. However, the decision of the Supreme Court do not allow the prosecution of the Islamic terrorists thugs in military tribunals because tribunals did not obey ‘international law’ and had not been authorized by US Congress. However, trial of the Islamic terrorists murderers as they were US citizens in US courts is a major security risk to US and will reward and support the worst enemy of US, revealing US top secrets on fighting terrorism to the world and rewarding the Islamic terrorists killers such as Osama Bin Laden. I wonder how the Jurors will feel in a US court that prosecutes Osama Bin Laden? Will they be scared by Osama threats to behead them after the trial? Just a thought…it is the Congress job to save US from the ‘liberal’ judges of the Supreme Court that know very little about the war against Islamic terrorism that does not have a country behind it. These liberal judges used baseless international sources to come to their complex and harmful decision. Obviously it is a one–sided decision which applies to US only and do not apply to the enemy, which is the Islamic terrorists thugs, and therefore it is wrong.

Blah blah blah Islamic terrorist thugs blah blah blah Islamic terrorist murders blah blah blah revealing U.S. secrets blah blah blah liberal judges of the Supreme Court ... blah blah blah

Jonesy, maybe you would be more comfortable in a place where the Executive is not inconvenienced by judges who do not agree with them. Syria is like that; so is Iran, North Korea, China, and a number of others.

Personally, I am not sure if the danger to America that you and your ilk represent is merely equal to, or more than, that represented by the Osama bin Ladens of the world.

Both of you guys are right. Our soldiers most likely are all shot or beheaded when captured. These prisoners are not soldiers and should not be treated as such. I hate to see that Bush is conforming to the Liberal, New York Times reading, terrorist huggers.

Bombings in India and he thinks you and I are the enemy. He types his crap from an all white town. Party before country, is Wierdo Willie's slogan.

You simple minded twit.

I am no more a friend of Osama bin Laden than I am of you. Nobody is advocating opening up the jails and letting them go. All I want is Americans, including our government, to act like Americans.

As inconvenient as it may be to those of your ilk, the President doesn't have the right to make things up as he goes along. I'm sorry that you don't like it.

As much as you hate ObL, you act just like him. Those that do not agree with you are infidels. Ignorance is ignorance, no matter what faith you wrap it up in.

I'm confused. We're a civilized nation. We treat people as we expect to be treated....Is that part of the Golden Rule not applicable? We decide when to follow rules and when NOT to follow rules, but we don't like people who do the same thing! And, we wonder why people (especially our allies) don't respect us! We want the UN when we want them, but decide to start a war when there was no reason!
A question: how can we release the people at "Gitmo"? We have created people who hate us...and when they're out will start their own terrorist group! Even if they knew something, it was 5 years ago.....they need to be processed according to rules....

The people from Iraq were supposed to be our friends...remember, we were supposed to be helping them? How did they turn into our enemies?

We are becoming what we don't want them to be. We want to eliminate the theocracy in Iraq....we are becoming that here!

We need to be able to hold our heads up....so that when we do need other countries to be with us, they will be proud of standing next to us! We have wasted any good will that we have in the world.

Patriotism isn't just waving the flag. It is doing what is right...Patriotism has been used as an excuse to do anything and if you don't agree, you must be a terrorist! Free speech is FREE...not that you only agree with me!

We need to be the leaders in the world....not the followers. We need to be the MORAL leaders of the world!

ACTUALLY, that is WHAT you DO, you simple minded-KNOW IT ALL- TWIT. You have said I was another Tim McVeigh and now telling Jones he is acting like Bin laden.

You put everyone down that doesn't tow your line of thinking. Those that do not agree with you are "simple minded twits" or worse, whatever coarse language is running through your, I suspect, pickled brain, at the time. I bet you couldn't pick Iraq off a world map.

Actually, unlike Jonesy (or you) I have had a number of very civil exchanges on this very forum with people that I disagree with completely. The difference between them and the likes of you two is that they stick to the issues. They haven't found it necessary to "judge" me based on their perceptions of where I live, questioned the fact that I am a veteran, or even twisted my words into claiming that I said my grandmother is mentally ill. You, on the other hand, have done all of that.

I don't think that it is unreasonable to say that somebody who expresses frustration with America as it is and comments about the need for a revolution has the potential to become a McVeigh. That seems a lot more reasonable than assuming that since I don't think like your idea of what a vet should think like, I can't be one.

I try to treat people with the respect and the intelligence that their posts indicate they deserve. There are plenty of conservatives that participate in this forum that are capable of discussing ideas in a reasonable fashion. The fact that you and Jonesy ain't among them is determined by the narrow minded, bigoted invective that you spew, and the childish, inane tactics to which you resort.

This means prisoners have access to the international red cross/red crescent.

A MAJOR defeat for Bush/Rummy/Condi; now truth may be forthcoming.

Am not discounting that some of the prisoners are evil, but don't you think that anyone who kills one million of their children is evil also?

Bloodthirsty bush maniacs. If any of you had a brain you might use it to think and work thru your massive denial. bushcheneyrummy and rice are all dictator mentalities. they do not have the intellegence needed to run America. It is shameful what these dictators have gotten away with.

Thank God, midterm elections are closing in. WE WILL IMPEACH THESE MONKEYS!
