Our troops are dying for NOTHING. What does a former 9/11 Commissioner say about the Official 9/11 Report?

==========
Senator Max Cleland

Former member of the 9/11 Commission

Former Captain, U.S. Army. Awarded Silver Star and Bronze Star for bravery in Viet Nam. Triple amputee from war injuries.

"As each day goes by, we learn that this government knew a whole lot more about these terrorists before Sept. 11 than it has ever admitted."

"If this decision stands [to limit access to White House documents], I, as a member of the [9/11] Commission, cannot look any American in the eye, especially family members of victims, and say the Commission had full access. This investigation is now compromised.... This is `The Gong Show'; this isn't protection of national security."

Article Salon 11/21/03: Regarding the 9/11 Commission "It is a national scandal."

Resigned from the 9/11 Commission, 12/03, after having served on it for 12 months. Former Senator Bob Kerrey from Nebraska was selected to replace him. The 9/11 Commission Report was issued 7 months later.

"One of these days we will have to get the full story because the 9-11 issue is so important to America. But this White House wants to cover it up."

Again?? It's not the first. After the Ft. Detrick, Md. experiments on the public. And the experimental Hanta virus trial on "the rez". Gee, I wonder why the U.S. got VOTED OUT of the Human Rights Commission of the U.N.????

And here I thought you wanted to have an intelligent discussion. Notice how I had nothing against you before you started throwing insults my way? I guess you can't live up to what you preach, hypocrite.

Omar al-Bashir is responsible for the deaths of thousands.

USA is trying to stabilize areas involved in the War on Terror.

Possible bulking up on armies in Israel.

And what does this small list prove? That you're only looking for what YOU find to be acceptable answers, as usual. Of course, if I'm always so wrong in your eyes, then your response would have no trouble in covering what I missed.

I believe Max Cleland is a coward. I respect his service but when he became a politician he lost his way. He's made a career out of catering to the lunatic fringe in order to keep his office. He may have been a Marine but I feel he actively wishes his country to fail. He's no different than Hanoi Jane Fonda.

Dear Brave Pfc. Patrick Devoe,
Please accept our thanks for this greatest of all sacrifices you've made for us all. You left us too soon in a land of rocks, guns and petty tribal feuds. We grieve for the loss of you young man, but at the same time our hearts are made less heavy knowing that you now rest in the loving arms of your Creator. Rest well brave soul and know that you will be missed. You could have made your mark on the world in any number of ways. That you picked this one speaks of your unselfish love for those of us who cannot serve.

Sgt. Brandon E. Adams
Age: 22
Hometown: Hollidaysburg, PA
Date Of Death: 9/19/2004
Incident Location: Fallujah, Iraq
Branch of Military: Army
Rank: Sgt.
Unit: 1'st Battalion, 32'nd. Infantry Regiment, 10'th. Mountain Division
Unit's Base: Fort Drum, NY
Obituary
When Brandon E. Adams managed to speak a few words to his family, they hoped the worst had passed. He had been badly injured Feb. 16 in Fallujah when a grenade exploded as he was clearing a house. Doctors in Baghdad were able to remove six pieces of shrapnel from his head, but they had to leave three pieces behind and remove parts of his skull. He spent the next several months in hospitals in Germany and the United States. "He was improving very slowly. His mind was good and all his vital signs were fine," said Melda Bricker, Adams' Grandmother. "He had started to say a few words." Adams, 22, died at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC. A 2000 high school graduate, Adams enlisted in the Army after graduation and served for more than two years in Alaska. Adams wrestled during high school and liked camping and hiking. He is survived by his parents.
Dear Brave Sgt. Brandon E. Adams,
Please accept your country's gratitude for the brave young man you were. You answered the call to arms and you did your job without question. And now you rest in God's Kingdom, never more to know the horrors of war you faced with such courage. Sleep well dear son of parents who, like all of us, hold you forever in their hearts. Think of us who you've had to leave behind and know that you have made your country a better place for having walked among us.

I was in Fallujah during this time and it was definitely a hell hole. His family are in my prayers.

Making sure everyone knows the truth about our troops. They do not die in vain. They die so everyone here can have the freedoms we cherish so much. Whatever Washington is doing, I don't care, all that matters to me is my brothers and sisters in harms way.

Life is Precious, you are quite the hypocrite. All that bad talk. And for a woman of your extended age. You shouldn't get so worked up and nasty. Go to church, pray and cool off before you come back here.

I am the flag of the United States of America.
My name is Old Glory.

I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.

I fly majestically over institutions of learning.
I stand guard with power in the world.

Look up ... and see me.

I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice.
I stand for freedom.

I am confident.
I am arrogant.
I am proud.

When I am flown with my fellow banners,
my head is a little higher,
my colors a little bit truer.

I bow to no one!

I am recognized all over the world.
I am worshipped - I am saluted.

I am loved - I am revered.
I am respected -- and I am feared.

I have fought in every battle of every
war for more then 200 years.

I was flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg,
Shiloh and Appomattox.

I was there at San Juan Hill,
the trenches of France,
in the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome
and the beaches of Normandy, Guam.
Okinawa, Korea and KheSan, Saigon,
Vietnam know me,

I was there.
I led my troops,
I was dirty, battleworn and tired,
but my soldiers cheered me
And I was proud.

I have been burned, torn and trampled
on the streets of countries I have helped set free.
It does not hurt, for I am invincible.
I have been soiled upon, burned, torn
and trampled on the streets of my country.
And when it's by those! whom I've served in battle -
it hurts.

But I shall overcome - for I am strong.

I have slipped the bonds of Earth
and stood watch over the uncharted
frontiers of space from my vantage point
on the moon.

I have borne silent witness
to all of America's finest hours.
But my finest hours are yet to come.

When I am torn into strips
and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms
of a grieving parent
at the grave of their fallen son or daughter,

I am proud.

MY NAME IS OLD GLORY
LONG MAY I WAVE.
DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN
LONG MAY I WAVE

It is the soldier,
not the President who gives us democracy.
It is the soldier,
not the Congress who takes care of us.
It is the soldier,
not the Reporter who has given us Freedom of Press.
It is the soldier,
not the Poet who has given us Freedom of Speech.
It is the soldier,
not the campus Organizer who has given us the
Freedom to Demonstrate.
It is the soldier,
who salutes the flag;
who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
that allows the protester to burn the flag.
