Congress needs to add more members. The citizen lawmaker is the pillar of the US government. That has been eroding away for 100 years. The problem is not simply the politicians. It is the politicians that represent too many people. Thus, they are out-of-touch.

The problem is that most are goddamned attorneys, many that belong to secret societies with hidden agendas, so they vote for those agendas and their own government benefits. The idea of citizen law makers actually representing their constituents is long gone. It's nothing but a private club from which citizens are excluded. Throwing the bums out and you just get other bums that are only beholden to their major benefactors that finance both sides rather than what's really important.
