Hey all ... just wanted to have a place where we can chat and not be off topic in the other threads. All are welcome if you're looking for a place to just relax in between the debates :)

Hi Cindy! Thanks for doing this! I wanted to, but felt if I did, it was like inviting the Anti-Choice Zealots in just to mess up something I created!
*sinking into an armchair* ahhhhhhh...comfy :)

Hey ladies!
Is this place safe? Ha!
I'd love to put my feet up for awhile.
You're right Mama-san I'm glad Cindy did this too but I think I hear rustling in the bushes! LOL-

Another fun site to visit on Topix is called Whatever Happened To---------- We could use some new voices in there but it's very relaxing to reminisce about days gone by.
If you don't want to join in..it's still a fun forum to visit and read the posts-
Cheerio
BTW ..Where is Bob? Did she eat him?

Hi all!

I've been lurking around, looking for a quiet place to land.I TRIED the "other" place, but it was too volatile for me. I do read it however, and I applaud you all **clapping wildly** for standing your ground. After awhile it is the same old argument, and it's like trying to convince a 2 year old to eat spinach when they want a lollipop. Guess I'm a wuss, but arguing instead of debating is not my thing.

Hey mama-san glad you made it :) I checked out the other room that Kenziee (sp??) made which I thought was a great idea but it kinda seemed to been over run by a few so I decided not to even post.

I heard the same rustling underneath the window but it's all good LOL I'll have to check out that particular thread and see what it's like. OMG Lyndi you crack me up LOL If we don't see Bob in the next day or see ... we'll have to send out a search party :)

Hello and Welcome ... I'm Cindy but I've been called a few other choice words on this forum LOL You're right most people who post on the forum have already made up there minds and not going to change them. The debating/arguing becomes a bit much for me and I have a take a step back.

Hi I probably argued with a few of you on the other thread. Haven't been on here long. I Have a question I can't ask overthere I hope u don't mind if I ask it here...How many people have the non-reasoing prolife extremists actually made jump ship and become pro choice because they've got me right on the edge???(I am really being serious with this question ME< not pro life extremist) They give me a head ache and talk in circles.

VaCindy, this is a very disappointing and cynical move on your part.
I thought you to be better than this.
What?? Why in the world would you even come on this thread to start any type of problems. I wanted a thread where I could chat with people so how in the heck is it a cynical move on my part? Jeez I swear this just takes the cake.

I don't think we have chatted yet but look forward to it. I was reading some of your posts on the other thread ... I'm pro-choice but respect what you have posted. I wish I had an answer to your question. Some people don't realize they actually hurt their side of the debate when they go to such extremes. I'm not sure why they do it. I've had someone posting misleading things about me just to try and discredit me on the forum. I think some think it's ok to use whatever means they want to just to try and prove their point. It's too bad when people on either side of the debate use tactics like that.

So what you don't like the name ... is that a reason for you to come in here with you little attitude and act like a 5 year old? I have never once disrupted your thread where people chit chat ... it seems clear it was too much to expect you to give people the same consideration. I'm done with this nonsense on this thread ... if you don't want trolls on that other thread stop acting like on here.

I would like to apologize to all for the disruption. This is not what this thread is about and I'm sorry someone feels the need to try and make it that way.

Anywho, I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving yesterday. Mine was pretty good, nice to be with family. We're having a mini Thanksgiving tomorrow. The hubby needs to have his leftover turkey for sandwiches LOL

Thank you for the support there seem to be alot of people on here that feel if you don't agree on one issue you need to be mortal enemies. I didn't come on here to fight with people (especially ones I agree with LOL) but wow it gets a little hard core and the interuption may have been due to me. things I posted here were being reposted there. So now I need some advil for my headache and maybe a beer. lol

No problemo :) There are people like that on both sides of the debate unfortunately. It is alittle puzzling when you are having to defend yourself against people who are on the same side of the debate as you ... that's a first for me LOL I've already taken the advil earlier and having a nice glass of red wine :)

It was a good idea, but too busy for me to keep up with. One or two "monster threads" wiht pages and pages of posts are all I can handle!

Thanks for doing this :)

I do know of a Christian woman who started studying Pagan Religions because the zealots were so vicious. I can imagine it happening with the Pro and Anti Choice groups too!

I enjoyed your posts in the other thread. And I agree with your assessments.

I think we should invite Instant Karma and Wills Girl to Lyndie's in Florida with us!

I've posted before that some of the more vicious Pro Lifers are the best thing to ever happen to the Pro Choice movement. The blatant lies and the anger and negativity that seems to exude from their posts is sad.

Shall we begin a pool on how much of this thread is cut and pasted into the other one?*rolling eyes*

Okay, that's the last I'll say about that. Let's go on to more fun topics!

Anybody go Christmas shopping today? I stayed home with my family and a book all day.

Daily Horoscope for November 24

Sagittarius

The home fires could get out of control today as the sensitive Moon clashes with the Sun in your sign; you may find that you're saying all the wrong things to certain family members. It could also be that the emotions of others are getting on your nerves; you might want to step out of the house today and spend some time doing your own thing somewhere else.
