I think it's possible we did however, we never went back, which makes me think that maybe we were never there to begin with. While the technology existed to go to the moon, there were the conspiracy theorists out there making an argument as to why we could not have made it to the moon. Just wondering what everyone else thinks.

Man has never set foot on the moon. It was a fake made on a soundstage and Area 51. Man could not have survived the trip through the Van Allen radiation belt with 1960s technology.

We made it to the moon, we did not go back because the E.T.'s were there first setting up condominums.

I watched the whole thing live...

The "conspiracy" peole are SO funny. I've read many websites, and a book or two by them. Most don't know enough science to graduate from 8th grade:)

I might add that there is no reason a quick trip through the Van Allen belt would be fatal. Someone has been feeding you a "line" there...

We (of course) went back 5 other times (plus 2 fly-bys). Nixon canceled the last 3 trips to save money for the Vietnam War... Without funds to keep 50,000 people employed, the production lines shut down or switched to other products.

I remember it all QUITE well...

I watched 2001:A Space Odyssy a couple days ago,and they had a big space station and a really nice moon base.It was sort of depressing how little we've done towards
what we thought we'd have done by now.Yes we went to the moon.We haven't had the money to do anything like the movie showed. We haven't had the money because we keep blowing it on wars and weapons, and if we weren't blowing it on wars and weapons, you'd all be screaming for a tax refund instead of building a moon base.

Any American who believes that man did not set foot on the moon must have an underlying hatred and/or distrust for this country. For you, I’m guessing one of three possibilities; that you are not an American citizen, or that you have a deep seeded hatred for this country, or that you’re just another Republican.

If the moon landing was a Hoax, it would be proven as such if and when someone really does get to the moon.

The Chinese are scheduled to land a nuclear powered rover on the moon sometime in the next ten years.

Wouldn't it be embarrassing for NASA if none of the eight LEM's (Luner Excursion Module) were actually on the moons surface? Their locations are well documented and could be verified on some future lunar mission.

I don't see why NASA would set themselves up for being exposed as liars.

I beleive they went.I remember watching live telecasts,I was 14 at the time. Now,I am aware it could have been faked. However, the Russians launched Sputnick. This worried our leaders.Space superiority was a major concern.So,J.F.K. initiated this race for the moon to beat the Russians to it.Military reasons.America rose to the challenge, suceeded.I believe there was a good reason to land on the moon, and that was to have superiority over space travel,as we did we air superiority. As for the radiation belt, well we have plenty of radiation on the ground to be exposed to for longer periods then a belt of it in space.I know what I typed is not proof,I'm just saying it probably happened, this moon landing.Anyone have a good telescope to look at the moon surface to see the L.E.M.s there?

You were doing fine until the last word.<);-).

What makes anyone think that all the thousands of people who would have to be involved with a coverup of this size would all keep silent. There have been a number of attempts to keep some schemes quiet, none has worked, someone blows the whistle, someone stumbles across info, etc.

Which is harder to believe, we made it to the moon, a number of times, or it was all faked. I find the idea of fakery harder to swallow, just too complicated. And especially if Hollywood was involved, I don't think they have backed the government since WWII.

I believe there has been at least one photo taken that shows an object at one of the landing sites (taken from a lunar orbiter, I think).

The object, of course, is just a "dot" on the photo, so it probably won't satisfy the ignorant skepticism of some...

yes, and I haven't seen any "proof" that it was faked. The reason we haven't spent money on going back is that there is no real reason to. What would be the purpose when there is no life there? They studied the rocks, and they can study the landscape from here on Earth. Unless we are going to go there and colonize it, what would be the gain in going back?
