It's called **********RESPECT********** TO NOT CUT IDIOT! EVERYONE HAS TURNS AND IT'S NOT *********FAIR**********IF YOU CUT. Unless it's the ER, you aren't supposed to cut. IT'S UNFAIR MORALLY SPEAKING!

Also, it's not about the 2 seconds, it's about that we were FIRST and how that's CUTTING. Don't you get it's out of *RESPECT* if you want our money, huh? We don't have to give you money unless we have automatic gratuity added, but if that is the case, we don't have to add more. We can also get a manger to take it off if we chose to try to. Most of the times though, I am not in a large enough party that had gratuity added already.

It's about being **********FAIR********** Do you like when someone cuts in front of you in line? I doubt you do. Treat others as *YOU'D* like to be treated if that were *YOU* sitting there.
If you want us to be fair to tip you well, you have to treat us that way be not letting cutting happen.
We all have turns.

Think about it like this, don't you think it would be morally wrong of me to tap my server on the shoulder *WHILE* they are taking a table's order to ask her for a couple of refills? It's ******THEIR******* TURN, NOT MINE, RIGHT? If the server would actually get my refills and stop taking their orders, wouldn't that be CUTTING in front of their turn?

WHY is that **********ANY********** DIFFERENT THAN handing food off the tray in the wrong order? CUTTING IS CUTTING ANY WAY YOU SLICE IT!!

NO, I always said to **********ASK********** AND NEVER ASSUME. WHERE DO YOU GET THAT FROM? You sound like you do like you need a refill, your server magically knows you need one without communication of any kind. You want your check, they bring it to you without you asking or being asked. Also, if there is no wait for a table, that is putting OBJECTS AHEAD OF HUMAN BEINGS. If there is a wait for a table, those people are *AFTER* our turn since we asked for our stuff first, understand that their service hasn't even STARTED YET, huh CUTTER?

As far as the 2 seconds goes, here's a story so you can understand:

I worked a donut shop/diner back in 1998-2002 off and on a little over 2yrs worth. This couple came in sat at the counter, order a buttermilk donut each and a cup of coffee each person. I was working the counter by myself at that particular part of the day. A lady came in, but wanted a mixed dozen donuts to-go, so she was telling me which ones like 3 sprinkles, etc. They also had another lady that walked in that waited behind the lady I was taking the order from while I was picking donuts for this lady. As I was in the *MIDDLE* of getting this lady's order, the lady that ordered the buttermilk donut that was sitting INTERRUPTED me to ask for a buttermilk donut. I told her I was in the middle of taking someone's order to wait her turn. So I finished the first lady with the mixed dozen with getting her donuts into the box and ringing her up, giving her change. Then, since that lady that was behind her got there *BEFORE* the lady at the counter that asked for her buttermilk donut, it's only fair I served this lady that was in line next since she got there first. So I served her a to-go whatever she had ordered(I can't remember), probably some donuts. Anyway, after I fixed it, rang her up, and gave her change,*********THEN********** DID I GET HER A BUTTERMILK DONUT. I MADE HER WAIT ***HER*** TURN****** AS IT IS MORALLY SUPPOSED TO BE!!

Understand what I am saying? It may have taken me 5-8 seconds to grab the donut and hand it to the lady, but that would have been really RUDE of me to interrupt someone's ordering to act like this buttermilk lady is GOD like she is ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE'S TURN. It would have also been rude of me to get the buttermilk donut before the next lady since the next lady was in line *BEFORE* the buttermilk donut lady asked for her buttermilk donut. It would have been rude to cut in front of this lady's turn. She was there *BEFORE* the buttermilk lady asked for what she wanted.

I am not going to serve unfairly, WHY should I expect someone to do that to me, huh? Especially if they want my money. I don't care if the people inside were more likely going to tip(not necessarily like some people tipped for to-go orders, others that ate a full meal inside didn't tip for good service). I care about doing the **********MORALLY RIGHT THING********** BY NOT LETTING CUTTING HAPPEN!!

NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND IT'S NOT ABOUT THE 2 SECONDS AS IT IS ABOUT THE ***PRINCIPLE OF IT***, HUH? Doing the right thing, so you can have the right thing done do you by us tipping you. I am probably the only person that would have done the right thing. You probably would have interrupted the lady that was ordering to get the buttermilk donut, wouldn't have you just because it was 5-8 seconds. It doesn't matter. It matters that WHO IS FIRST IS WHAT MATTERS THAT YOU DON'T CUT!! I don't care if it's ONE SECOND, it's RUDE to worry about others if you are on someone else's turn just as the example with if a person taps their server on their shoulder interrupting them getting taking an order from another table. It's COMMON DECENCY FROM YOUR *******HEART********* AND HAVE **********MORALS**********

What you are doing is called be LAZY, VERY INCONSIDERATE, and UNCARING about your customers.
You aren't always going in the kitchen to need hands full in hands full out. For example, getting my check, you don't need to go to the kitchen at most of the restaurants. My refill, they have soda stations, no need to go to the kitchen. Extra napkins, no need to go to the kitchen.
<quoted text>
It's not OK, because you didn't get your customer's *PERMISSION* FIRST since they are *PAYING FOR THE ****SERVICE***(which means you could be wasting their time if they don't want that refill).
The item is free, but the ****SERVICE****** ISN'T, that means since you aren't paying the customer, the customer is paying you, you don't get to decide that,*****WE DO****** since *WE* hold the money you want from us. When *YOU* pay us a tip, we will gladly do it your way, but it's not that way, so we should have it *OUR* way.
<quoted text>
NO, I am there to get what ***I***** want. I want to be asked, I ****WANT TO BE ASKED SO MY TIME IS WASTED GETTING ME AN UNWANTED ITEM*****. Do you realize people can switch drinks that people do this? I have and my husband have switched before. I have switched from dr. pepper to coke to iced tea even. My husband switched from a cup of coffee to a diet coke. My husband switched from 2 diet cokes, to a water.
I am there to be served the way ****I***** want. YOU NEED TO ASK AT THE GREETING "Would you all like refills without being asked throughout your service?" It's not *YOUR* call to make. I have sent servers back before with them trying to ORDER for me.
WHERE do you get from that you have rights to ORDER for the customer, huh?
NOWHERE does it state the customer has to stick with the same drink they ordered the first time around. There's no such rule.
WHY do you want to be a CONTROL FREAK, HUH?
If you want our money, you do as ********WE********** WANT ONLY!!

Haha, work for my money? That's amusing to me only in the fact that I make my resturant and myself plenty of it. I bust my ass for my bar guests and my tables, but some of the stuff you're complaining about is just ludacris. Ketchup bottles and refills? You might have OCD lady, for real. I could think of a million other things I could complain about at a restaurant other than an extra coke on my table that I may of may not drink. And for your information, bartenders are servers as well. We have to not only make drinks for ourselves and the entire restaurant, but we also serve guests food and wait on tables as well.

HOW IS IT "LUDICROUS" to want what *YOU* want for *YOUR MONEY* HUH?

It's wastes my time if I don't want it IDIOT, which I am *PAYING* for my time called a tip YOU STUPID ASS IGNORANT IDIOT!

If I want something else, I shouldn't have to feel obligated to take what I don't want or that the server doesn't even say they are sorry for ASSUMING WRONG when I send them back with what I do want instead. I switch drinks at times. I sometimes go from dr. pepper to coke or from dr. pepper to iced tea, etc. I have *EVERY RIGHT* to get the service *I* WANT for ********MY**********TIP MONEY!

Ketchup bottles, WHY bother bringing it out or even getting it if you can just simply *********ASK THE CUSTOMER'S PERMISSION IF THEY WANT THAT OR NOT*******, HUH? I don't get the CONTROL ASSUMPTION THING? You can't read minds, don't act like you can.

That's because you want the refill. If you didn't want it, you would be bothered that they wasted your time and you know it. I want also not them making a decision for me that wasn't theirs. I can't believe you would want to be controlled by someone when *YOU* are paying them? THAT IS LUDICROUS!

YOU HAVE SERIOUS CONTROL ISSUES! No one controls my money but *ME*, GOT IT?

An extra drink on my table leaves me with no enough ******ROOM********** for what *I DO* want IDIOT! Seriously, at times we have sat at some small areas and I need the room for my condiments for example. I am not stupid. I have had MANY of times bartenders that served us before at tables. My husband and I go out to eat 2-3 times a weekend just about every weekend since Nov. 2000, so I have A LOT of EXPERIENCE. YOU ARE DUMB if you think I don't know this IDIOT!

If that was the case, WHY have we MANY, MANY, MANY of times have tipped 25%-30% and upwards as well as gave $20 christmas bonuses to our favorite servers, huh?

They do make me happy if they do what *I* want them to do and try their best. Even if they make a small mistake and apologize, I am still happy if I saw they TRIED THEIR BEST.

Then WHY all the restaurant complaints at restaurants. You need to read complaints.com , planetfeedback.com , my3cents.com , etc.

In one pizza-by-the-slice place I ordered two slices of pepperoni. The cheeky student server asked if I'd ever been in before. I said no. He said well the slices are really big here. I said that's nice. He said, so do you still want two. I said, yes that's my order. He pointed to the wall where a pie showed a large pan with six pieces marked instead of the usual 8 and said they are that big. I said fine. So he asked yet again so should we make it one slice. I said NO!
He said, and I quote: "Hey, no need to get testy, I'm trying to help you out. Why don't I just get you one and if you're still hungry you can order another?"
I asked if there was a manager I could speak to.
He finally got the hint and hustled off and brought two slices (they were already under the warming light, I could see exactly how much I was ordering). Then he snuck back behind the counter and spent the time making faces to the cook who didn't seem to agree with him, and tsk-tsk looks at me.
When it came time to pay I just walked out. Let him tsk-tsk that.
That's stealing, which is not okay just because you think you're entitled you jackass.

Half of those problems are restaurant rules, you contradict yourself and are downright rude. When I grab a plate while getting your check, sure the plate dont tip but it clears it for the next table so I get tips faster. You should be a server for a day and deal with an anal prick like yourself. Its not being lazy it is following company rules. And what do you do with your life to be so high up on your horse. When you don't tip we basically pay for your meal which should not happen unless they forget your food or spill it or completely ignore you. WHY? REFUSAL is why. There's NO FUCKING ASS REASON TO REFUSE TO THINK OF THE CUSTOMER'S TIME. If you do it AFTER we left, what does it matter to pick up that dish? You haven't saved any time. YOU ARE A SELFISH BITCH! I would and NEVER served in that manner,***EVER**. You're VERY WRONG! If I could I would post my credit card receipts to show you physical PROOF! Also, I have given extra cash as well. MANY servers meet my standards. You have NO CLUE OF WTH you are talking about. No manager wants you to make the customers wait longer to leave so they can't seat a new set of people. The longer you wait to get my check, the longer I can't read it. I could be reading it while you pick up dirty dishes YOU STUPID ASS MORON! That's FASTER the way I am saying. You can't deny the truth, because it's THE GOD'S TRUTH and you know it!

For example, if I ask for a dessert, that's your cue to ask "Would you all want your check as well" and if the customers say "yes", when you ring up the dessert, you print the check and bring it to the customer ******BEFORE******* the dessert is ready. Then when you bring the dessert you can take the method of payment, which if you want before that you can make sure before you actually ring it up that the customers are liking their dessert.

The way you want to do things you want to purposely DELAY people from leaving. What's the difference if you wait to get my dirty dishes? It's not speeding up anything for the people waiting in the waiting area. Especially if we are still sitting reading the check or waiting to get it rung up because you waited to bring it to me or if we are drinking the rest of our drinks or chit chatting, etc. It's not speeding up getting that table faster, it's not. Even if the computer is in the kitchen, it's not, because the longer you wait to give the check, the longer it takes for the customers to read their check and get their method of payment out, especially if it's cash that they have to count.
