I don't know any of you and I don't want to. You sound like mean, spiteful, spoiled, used to getting your way people who don't give a damn about anyone but themselves. SHAME on ALL of you. When I go to a restaurant I tip for good service, I don't tip for bad service, end of subject!

No, the dirty dish in not paying me, but my boss decides whether or not I still work there. It is called "pre-bussing". Many restaurants require that you bus the table BEFORE dropping the check. My managaer woul;d chew my head off if I brought a check to a table full of empty dishes. If we walk past a table that needs to be bussed, whether in our section or not,whether we have an actual busser or not for the evening, if we do not grab things off of it as we pass, we are written up. You are not the only person in the entire restaurant, you know.

You aren't always going in the kitchen to need hands full in hands full out. For example, getting my check, you don't need to go to the kitchen at most of the restaurants. My refill, they have soda stations, no need to go to the kitchen. Extra napkins, no need to go to the kitchen.

I already know this already, but the thing is, the *CUSTOMER is the person paying here, NOT anyone else. Also, a lot of servers already print out the check and leave it in their apron pocket, so that way they can just hand the check while they pick up the dishes while we are reading the check.

What if the customer requested this, I bet he would let you, why don't you ask the customer so that way you can do it that way, huh? I am willing to bet if the request came from the customer that they were in a hurry that manager would let and you know it!!

Also, the managers are dumb in that the faster we are OUT OF THERE the MORE CUSTOMERS, THE MORE MONEY the restaurant makes so it's truly hurting the server's income and the restaurant's income by making customers wait longer to leave. That's retarded.

As I said before I would ask the customer so that way you can get a request and I would refuse to work for a manager that doesn't have consideration for customer's time. What an uncaring piece of shit manager that is. WHO THE HELL wants to sit longer to leave when they are ready, huh?

It seems like many of your complaints revolve around 'wasting time'. What is your hurry that you can't wait an extra 2 minutes for a server to clear off a table so he/she can be seated again or 2 seconds to hand another table their salads? If you are in that much of a hurry, maybe you should stick to fast food. You also sound like you expect your server to know exactly what you want. Hope your next one is can read your mind.
