If I understand the article correctly, only 8 people protested at our first execution nationwide in seven months. Sounds to me like the majority clearly supports the death penalty if so little can be mustered in the way of a protest. Now can someone please fast track Kevin Johns to a much warmer place. And, can someone please smack O'Malley on the back of the head to get him to wake up and start respecting the wishes of his constituents. Oh, I forgot, his supporters are mostly criminals, certifiables, sycophants and the mentally challenged.

He's never cared about the "wishes of his constituents." He's an elitist liberal. He simply knows what's best for you, especially when it's so painfully obvious that you don't.

I admit to being less comfortable with the death penalty lately, due to seeing people on death row that are later proven to be innocent with DNA testing.

In this case, he got exactly what he needed, only it should have happened a long time ago. What a horrible evil piece of s hit this man was. I wish they could bring him back again, only to kill him one more time.

I just have to say that I find it very odd that before they give the lethal injection they have to sterilize the needle and swab their skin, so they wont get an infection. Get an infection? What does it matter- they are going to be dead!
Just more tax payer money being wasted on something meaningless...

The news stories always omit the fact that soon after the first murder, Lynd shot and murdered a second woman and also that he had a record for sexual assaults.

Think they are intentionally being deceptive to make people feel sorry for the pos?

They don't sell unsterilized needles. And they are required by law to follow the same state protocols for starting an IV as in a hospital. Since an alcohol swab costs pennies, it's hardly breaking the bank.

I totally agree with you as well. The poor seem to be an easier target for some though. It never ceases to amaze me that people with deeper pockets tend to walk away relatively unscathed.
That is false.

I am uncomfortable with automobiles because of all of the innocent people who are killed by them.

Our penal system is horrible. Why does it take TWENTY YEARS to execute a criminal who "freely" took someone else's life ? His victim DID NOT have an "extra" 20 SECONDS to live life, but the criminal somehow gets an extra 2o years to live because of the process of filing motions, seeking new trials, etc to cause a back-up in the court system.......lawyers just love it. Well liberals, is it because of his age, race, gender, nationality, or the way he was brought up and raised, that (yeah right) CAUSED him to commit a heinous crime ? Who cares why ? He committed the crime and should be put to death (almost) immediately.......not years later. To those idiots that are OPPOSED to the death penalty, and like having our tax dollars spent on the prisoners free room, board, food, college education, medical, etc, I ask you this question: Would you still feel the same way about the death penalty if the VICTIM was your son, daughter, grand-child, mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, etc, etc, etc ? You think about that, because far too MANY families SUFFER from a devastating LOSS of a loved one because of the act of some EVIL person !!!!!!!
In Connecticut, we have the death penalty on paper only. The only person put to death in my memory was a serial killer who had to sue to die--and the judge called his lawyer at home with a threat if he didn't try to stop it. The rest of the slugs will die of old age. They are, by the way, protesting that life on death row is inhumane.

Here is what is wrong with the death penalty- its real simple to say NO especially when you execute an innocent person.
Has the system been wrong in the past-the answer is YES. DA 's too worried about their futures or political pressure can leaed to an innocent person being killed. In the present time with 911 the authorities want to make examples and well push decesions which may never have been granted in the old days. Too much blood -America is famous for -rushing to judge and execute-look at the mess Bush has gotten us into too.

Wealthy people who murder are executed. The Connecticut man mentioned above is an example, as was John Gacy. Less thn 2% of poor murderers are executed.
