You need to re-read post #328 written by CoraDole.
No where was it stated that people who live in trailers = murderers.
She stated that not all people who live in trailers are trashy, as some have suggested.
I never said he/she said that. I was verifying/continuing the point that person was making.

Please tell us why you would "be the first one to say the girlfriend did it?" What information do you have? What facts do you know? Were you there? Were you involved? Only if you were involved can you state the girlfriend did it.
Would you like anyone making accusations about you commiting a crime without anything to back it up?
Let the police do their job before you convict someone.
I'm not on the jury. I can have an opinion. If no one had opinions, there'd be nothing to talk about here. I don't have facts, but I watched her during the interview and from what I hear, her story has discrepancies.

How does a statement about not all people who live in trailers are trashy lead to your conclusion that people who live in trailers = murderers? You verified nothing and did nothing more that state your opinion.

Yes you are entitled to an opinion, but you made the statement "the girlfriend did it." That is more than an opinion and is worded as fact.
What if it turns out she isn't involved in any way? You and others are besmirching her reputation. How would you feel if people accused you of committing a crime. You could be in an area where a crime is committed and if people make the statement "Raptor in Michigan" did it, you might feel differently.

I have no idea what happened any more than anyone else. Any responsible person does not accuse without knowledge, information or fact. Questions are certainly appropriate.

If you haven't read all my posts, don't judge what I am saying in one single post to someone else in a conversation I am having with them. Some things are said jokingly, sarcastically, etc..and can easily be taken out of context. Start with post 279.

Did any one consider the mother. She didn't seem real distraught in the interview, kindof like Susan Smith. Also, how often and how long was here custody time with her children. And did the dad have custody and why. And the 17yr. old girlfriend seems caught in a relationship that is to mature for her. She seems a kid herself. And the father is 25yrs. of age with the 17yr. old his girlfriend. Now the girlfriend is staying with her relatives.

Maybe the authorities can bring in a psychic like Sylvia Brown or etc.. Anything is possible that might help find this little child. That father's heart is broken.

Finding a suspect and getting information is the job for the police. I would assume the police are doing just that.
You missed my point entirely. I was talking about people who post here saying they know who did this, why it happened and how it happened.
If law enforcement hasn't determined who, why and how yet, how can someone reading an article or two and listening to the news form such biased opinions without any facts?
Really? I think I made it pretty clear at the end of my post I wasn't saying the girlfriend did it. As a matter of fact I might go so far to say I don't think she was involved and this is looking more like the Jessica Lunsford story.

Remember when everyone was calling for her father and grandfathers heads on a platter and screaming at them in the streets to tell them where the girl was?

Her father said on Americas Most Wanted you could say anything you wanted to about him and his and fathers pasts, but it didn't change the fact his little girl was still missing and he was going to do whatever it took to get her back.

You're right, people do play armchair detective on cases like this. A lot of times people are dead on about their gut instincts and sometimes something comes out of left field to prove everyone wrong. I guessed correct with Susan Smith, Pamela Smart and Charles Stuart. I also guessed correctly with Mark Lunsford, I knew he didn't do it, even after he readily took the lie detector test and people still said he was lying.

Would you be just as defensive if someone said George Bush was a liar and we went to Iraq for oil and all he cares about is his big business buddies? Would you defend him and tell them to get the facts before making an accusation? Or if someone said Barack Obama was a Muslim and Socialist who isn't an American citizen, would you also defend him and tell them to get facts? Lots of that stuff goes on here. People make statements and have opinions without facts. That's what these forums are for. What should we do, sit here in silence or have every post say "I don't know who did it." That would get pretty boring.

I watched Gretas interview with the mother and she seemed distraught. She was rocking back and forth as though she needed to do something, but couldn't. I tried to put myself in her place and I would be going nuts. I figure that was what the rocking was about. Either that or a drug reaction, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

I think the mother in the interview looked like she was on drugs. Which probably isn't a new wrinkle. I was hoping the news tonight would have an update. But I guess the police are looking good. I hope they find the baby alive. Prayers for her. Poor little one.

They only clip I seen was on the net from CNN of the little girls mother, not the father's girlfriend and it was very short. I seen the girlfriend and the Dad's interview by Greta. The girlfriend looked like she is lost and confused. She is so young to be in that position. That was a big responsibility at 17yrs. old taking care of a 5yr. old and her 4yr. old brother at night. This is a losing situation all around. I feel for this family and mostly for this little girl. My grandson is 4yrs. old and understands when someone is gone that he loves for several days and he would be so curious to why everyone is sad and crying. And I couldn't imagine having to explain to him that his siter is missing. That family's shoes is a place I would never want to be.

Also when I think of why the 17yr. old girlfriend didn't call 911 untill the father got home. I beleive possibly because her little girl mode kicked in and she either was afraid she would get in trouble from the dad because she didn't keep an eye on his child or she really froze and didn't know how to begin. But it was precious time wasted.

Yea, I also got the sense the mother was on drugs. But maybe she was on a sedative to releive her grief. The authorities said they interviewed the 44 child molesters in the area but came up with nothing. I pray they find this child fast and safe.

I have read many posts saying the GF must be involved bacause you can take a kid from a room you're in without waking up and I am here to say you can. I had a wierdo St. Cloudian break in my house a gew years back and while ultimately no one was really hurt, he could have easily swiped by child who was sleeping next to me. He had to rub my legs to wake me up. Thank GOD he didn't want her-- or he's had had her without me waling up. So please stop saying this about the GF.

I'm not saying she's not involved, but just saying the child could have been swiped without her waking up.

I know this for 100% certainty.

The GF didn't know very much about Haleigh, not her weight, ok but not her birthdate. They have been together for quite a while so it has been reported. I wonder how long?? Was she only 16 then?? I just can't help but think the GF is not being completely truthful.
