Stupid statement from the family lawyer: Blame law enforcement for backing these morons into a legal corner rather than the morons themselves for causing this whole mess in the first place.

What this country needs is a few million LESS lawyers...

Is it just me, or does Richard Heene look like the type that just doesn't want to work?

Maybe when we all thought that balloon boy was really in the thing our prayers for his safety were answered. Or are we.... wait I forgot to take my medication.

I'm thinking it's possible that Richard is the way he is BECAUSE of his parents. They probably wouldn't be much help.

My nephew's child is a demon seed child. Why? Because Mommy has taught him that there is no such word as "NO". Which is how her mommy raised her. Only thing is, now she is paying for it because the kid is out of control. Of course it's always worse when it's a BOY.:) Now the good thing is, they have come to their senses, or at least one of them has, and he is now getting counseling.

I think, though, for Richard Heene, it's a little late for Mommy and Daddy to intervene.

Interesting that the father is being charged with a felony for this stunt. Just shows how our legislators accept bribes from the prison industry and want to make every crime into a felony . Felony used to be a serious crime, but no more.

I don't think the charge is tough enough for this attention seeking for profit from media interviews.

It cost the taxpayers in time, fuel, equipment. It distracted from duties. It effected other citizens where they drove through a crop chasing a balloon because the parents reported their child was in it.

The media shows got their ratings and advertising money at the cost of the rest of us but it would not have happened without this false report.

We have enough problems without allowing these people to get away with creating problems for profit.

hbat makes the lawyer think we care if they did back them into a legal corner? They deserve the reaction and hopefully the next hoaxer will think twice.
