Even if one were to assume that is true, you can simply look to the likes of yourself, Nanoanomaly, Lightbeam, Ghost, and a few select others for an excellent example as to "why" they would do so.
Not a single one of you are paragons of how a great part of humanity believes Christians should conduct themselves.
In fact, I personally have yet to see a single person of faith participating on this thread that presents himself/herself as having anything I would want to emulate.
You are your own stumbling blocks, and fail to understand how you continue to sow the very seeds that will eventually split your religion completely asunder.
Quite shameful.
Shameful that's it's something you choose not to emulate?

o.O

Would you be happier if we all followed your ways?

You're one of 3 people I know that claim their god spoke to them.

However...

You're the only one of them that is concurrently in possession of knowledge that the same god never does that.

That's a neat trick. How do you manage?

Again, Redneck, my congratulations on your NASCAR victory yesterday in Charlotte.
Did you check it out, or do I have to spill the beans?
Your decision.
I told you already that I don't care about NASCAR.

After Religion Fizzles, We’re Stuck With Nietzsche
by Chris Hedges
www.truthdig.com , May 9, 2010

[Our] religious institutions are in irreversible decline. They are ruled by moral and intellectual trolls. They have become arrogant and self-absorbed. Their sins are many. They protected criminals. They pandered to the lowest common denominator and illusions of personal fulfillment and surrendered their moral authority. They did not fight the corporate tyrants who have impoverished us. They refused to denounce a caste of Christian heretics embodied by the Christian right and have, for their cowardice, been usurped by bizarre proto-fascists clutching the Christian cross. They have nothing left to say.

After Religion Fizzles, We’re Stuck With Nietzsche
by Chris Hedges

[Frederick] Nietzsche feared the deadening effects of the constant search for material possessions and personal hedonism. Science and technology might rather bring about a new, distorted character Nietzsche called “the Last Man.” The Last Man, Nietzsche feared, would engage in the worst kinds of provincialism, believing he had nothing to learn from history. The Last Man would wallow and revel in his ignorance and quest for personal fulfillment. He would be satisfied with everything that he had done and become, and would seek to become nothing more. He would be intellectually and morally stagnant, incapable of growth, and become part of an easily manipulated herd. The Last Man would mistake cynicism for knowledge.

Do we keep our personalities in Heaven??
I was wondering. Do you guys who go to church think everyone that attends that church are of absolute class 1 personality?
Is everyone who shares your faith of class 1 Character?
Is there a few guys in church who grind your gears? The way they dress or they way they speak? Maybe the way they do certain things?
Will they still piss you off in the afterlife?
What about those who have different opinion to you? Does opinion become void in heaven?
It's the little quirks and funny ways of people that make us individual. It forms our personalities. Our experiences in life have a baring on who we are. What happens to this in heaven?
Does the guy who explains things in a pedantic way still piss you off in heaven? Does the know it all about gardening neighbour still make you want to pour beach on his carrots at night? Does the slightly simple fella from down the road still need your help with counting to 3?
Or do we lose all our differences thus our individuality and personality in heaven?
Who would we be without these fundermental differences? What does the bible say about personality?

I find it amusing that flaming idiots like you rant on about the atomic bomb's use when it was atheists who encouraged the making of it, and therefore, the obvious use for which it was intended.

http://the-militant-atheist.org/the-atomic-bo...

What a loon. You should be cheering that one of your own seduced a self-professing Christian president into using it. No? I suspect Oppenheimer creamed his man panties when Nagasaki was hit.

No, no, it's not about that, Redneck.

I want to see if you can figure out why I congratulate you for the NASCAR victory at the Charlotte Speedway yesterday.

Otherwise, life couldn't be better here among the Bajans.

Come on, be a sport and play.
