<quoted text>
That's what He actually tried to do, according to the Bible.
In fact that's what He said before destroying all mankind save Noah and his families.
"And God regretted creating man after seeing so much evil and violence."
So he started a new page with Noah and his descendants.
But the same thing happened.
Then He decided to choose just one people for Himself, the Izraelites.
But the same thing happened again, because they failed Him.
Then He decided to send His only Son, a member of the Divinity, to save the world from its evils.
But this didn't work either, except for a few..
What the next page is going to be no one, or very few, know..
So be prepared.
Then he is a god with no power. He could have just replaced Adam and Eve and started over from there. It proves he doesn't exist because a real god would not fail three times in a row. What kind of god is it that fails? It is all man made conjecture. A real god would have done a bang up good job the first time out with no failures.

Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD-- that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Exodus:
God also said to Moses, "Say to the Israelites,'The LORD,--has sent me to you.' "This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.

So God's name is "The LORD the God of your fathers the God of Abraham the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob"?

Don't be so obtuse. If at all possible.

God has no name.
Kind of like The Edge?

Oh.

So I can take this post of yours, twist it, then try arguing with you why thick toilet paper is better than thin.

Because it doesn't matter how it's interpreted, right…?

<quoted text> Right Right, Jesus always said to leave material things behind, maybe not in them words but you get the gist of what I mean. He knew that holding onto things of this world would taint man and his understanding.. The pharisees, Sadducees and others of that time feared that man because of his understanding and connect with something not of this world. They didn't recognize the " Christ" Not just Jesus but spiritual teachers before Jesus.
It's very freeing loosening the ties to material goods. I used to be tied up in knots about keeping my property secured but then one day it hit me that there's not a material thing I could lose that would cause me grief other than photos of family. Everything else can be replaced but we can't go back in time and capture those images again. I made copies after that and made sure relatives did too.

A "joint" is not a brick of weed.
A "glass of wine" is not an entire case of 120 proof rum.
It's all about the amount used.
One joint is as innocuous as a glass of wine.

Depends on how good the weed it; I've smoked some pretty crappy weed.

RiversideRedneck wrote, "<quoted text> a glass of wine will not get you drunk."

Depends on whether or not you're a light-weight, or how much alcohol is in the wine.

RiversideRedneck wrote, "<quoted text>So which is safer, smoking a joint or drinking a glass of wine?"

Neither.
I couldn't smoke a whole joint of good weed. I prefer 3 or 4 puffs from a vaporizer.

A glass of wine would make me sleepy and give me a headache.

The FFRF is a hate group, plain and simple. No wonder he quoted from them.
FFRF is no more a hate group than The Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is.

Foundations like the Sierra Club have members who are Christians that donate time and money to them. If THEY insisted I call them uncle or auntie I'd turn away from them as fast as I would from you.
Believers want the Earth clean too, not all of them believe that the end is imminent.
