All there is evince of is that religion lies, especially christianity.
There is evidence of afterlife in people's personal testimonies throughout history.

There is no evidence, no testimony, that when humans die they simply turn off like a broken radio.

Subjective truth means what the individual holds to be true. Objective truth is what is true in all times and places.
An objective truth is that in base 10 math, 2+2=4.
A subjective truth is dependent upon the person. An example of this would be two people who have been standing in a room for 10 minutes where the temperature is 55 deg. F.
Person A might say "It's cold in here." For person A, "it's cold" is true.
Person B might say "It's not cold in here." For person B, "it's not cold" is true.
Their respective metabolism, cardiovascular function, normal environment, body fat percentage, etc. will dictate what is or is not "cold." It's subjective truth.
Makes perfect sense, two questions.

Can you give me an example relative to Topix or any kind of written communication like this?

Base 10 math? What's that?

You can't claim that I'm lying on an opinion. I have the opinion that God created. You have the opinion he didn't. Therefore we both hold an opinion. An opinion isn't a lie. It's a belief.
You're another "genius" aren't you?
This will be fun.(Yes I'm being a dick today.)
The YHWH of Canaanite tradition is not the same as the Hebrew tradition although many assume this to be the case because El refers to the title "God" and not the name. It's easy to get confused by this, so I don't blame your ignorance.
There was a transitional period in Canaan in which YHWH became a generic term for a creator god, and not as a personal name as used by the ancient Hebrews.
Next stupid victim.:)
Unfortunately for the Abrahamic religions, the historical and archaeological evidence doesn't support your assertion.

So what you write isn't what you mean is the message out of all this? You actually are telling me that you didn't mean it would be "less"?
I already told you that I assumed it would be less, and that I was incorrect in that assumption. Having trouble reading?
Even if you did not intend to deceive then, you are intending to deceive now.
Right. In what world is admitting to be incorrect equal to deception?

We attacked them because they were a real, immediate threat to the citizens of United States. They proved it in New York, they were threatening to do it more. Full offensive measure had to be taken in order to protect the citizens.

How about "evidence" ya spelling Nazi.:)

Dr. Eben Alexander is a neurosurgeon with 30 years of clinical and teaching experience. He had a Near Death Experience that convinced him of the reality of an afterlife. He has written a book about the experience.

Dr. Jeffrey Long is an Oncologist (cancer specialist for those who may not know) and has devoted a number of years examining NDE claims, and has devised a screening process to detect false claims by people who might just be seeking attention. His work in this field is amazing. He is the founder of NDERF, Near-Death Experience Research Foundation. His website features hundreds of cases of NDEs.

Dr. Raymond Moody is the pioneer of NDE research and is the authoritative voice regarding NDEs. He lectures around the world, and trains Hospice workers, clergy, nurses, and families regarding death. He's a 1976 graduate of Medical College of Georgia.

Seems legit.
You see, this is why Australia doesn't have much of a military.

Of course you can attack to prevent an attack.

Say your squaring off with somebody, about to fight, or potentially about to fight. You see the guy cock back his fist and he's about ready to swing at you, what do you do? Do you close your eyes and hope it doesn't hurt really bad or do you punch him before he punches you?

Now put it on a national scale. You can see that your enemy is preparing an attack, you know they are. What do you do? Do you wait for them to attack you, watch your civilians die, watch your cities be destroyed? No, you hit them before they can hit you.

Al-Qaeda sucker punched us and gave us a big black eye, but as soon as the rubble settled we put a boot up their ass, it's just the American way. If you hit us we will hit back tenfold.

So should people who beat infants.

I've read the bible 3½ times. I began on the fourth time and about halfway through, it was just too agonizingly ridiculous.

I suspect the DaVinci Code is the same. Ridiculous historical/fantasy fiction.

It's interesting you'd place your bible and the DaVinci Code in comparable terms.

How's that assumption working out for you?
I'll have you know that the day I was scheduled to ship out to basic training, the computers were down at MEPS in San Diego. This was in the mid 90s and computer systems going down seemed pretty common. They didn't have time to process everyone there, actually only about half went. They called me up a few weeks later and told me that the paperwork is back in order and I can ship out again, but that the PATRIOT missile launching station position was no longer available. I don't remember exactly what my options were then, it was a long time ago, but I do remember there was a tank operator position (which I really didn't want) and a paratrooper (which I also really didn't want).
There, now you know. So you can decide whether you feel like filling in the blanks for RR or you could read what I have to say at face value. Of course I can't force you, it's up to you at this point.
PS - There's more to the story, a more personal side of it, but I will never share, you'll just have to deal with the partial story.
You do have comprehension deficits.

" I suspect the reason "it didn't work out" had to do with your side of things, not the army's -well, other than processing your discharge."

Notice that I didn't use the word "assume", I used "suspect".

And based on your foregoing post, you opted not to proceed, because something didn't suit you. There are hundreds of positions available in the military. You had an opportunity to reconsider, and for reasons personal to you, you reconsidered. The "personal" side of it is but a part of why the reconsideration.

Bottom line, an escape hatch opened, and you jumped right through it.

And, if in fact you were enlisted and about to ship out, then for a fact the military was obliged to process orders discharging you. It's a necessary technicality.

I spent 5 years deploying soldiers overseas, and redeploying them home.

<quoted text>If read literally it is the story of the start of the human race. On that we can agree.

If read allegorically, it can be interpreted to be the start of the Hebrew nation.

The big question is, which way should it be read and why?

I hold that it should be read allegorically with regard to ancient Israel. The Sumerian culture is definitely older than the 5,000 year old nation of Israel if the archaeologists and anthropologists are correct. I have no trouble conceding this point.

That's why I take the position that Genesis chapters 1-3 at least are allegorical. Poetic allegory to be precise. And read like this, it makes more sense than a literal reading.
So the christian "god" didn't create the human race?

Much like Christianity did in its early history.

Christianity is no different than Islam, just mellowed by it being centuries older.

Details of the Papacy and its search and pursuit of Heretics etc.. from around 600CE to the present.

The estimates run from just below 50 million, to as high as 120 million.

Protestants, Heretics, Pagans,"savages" and others. Dead.

In the name of spreading and enforcing the "real" Christian religion. It's compiled by a Christian, and references Christian writings and estimates of the time periods - that range from the 600CE-1850's.

Authenticated correspondence to various Popes, from his "commanders", "representatives", and others, and reports of the progress they were making are included.

An example:

As an illustration of the attitude of the Catholic Church towards the Protestants in Bohemia, Robbins [Ecclesiastical Megalomania, The Trinity Foundation, 1999, p. 134] writes “Two centuries after Thomas, Martin V (1417-1431) ordered the King of Poland to exterminate the Hussites.

The Pope wrote to the King:

"Know that the interests of the Holy See, and those of your crown, make it a duty to exterminate the Hussites. Remember that these impious persons dare proclaim principles of equality; they maintain that all Christians are brethren and that God has not given to privileged men the right of ruling the nations; they hold that Christ came on Earth to abolish slavery; they call the people to liberty, that is to the annihilation of kings and priests. While there is still time, then, turn your forces against Bohemia; burn, massacre, make deserts everywhere, for nothing could be more agreeable to God, or more useful to the cause of kings, than the extermination of the Hussites.

In Bohemia, by 1600, in a population of 4,000,000, 80 per cent were Protestant. When the Hapsburgs and Jesuits had done their work, 800,000 were left, all Catholics."

Another excerpt:

During its rise to power, the Papacy also essentially exterminated the Heruli shortly after 493 A.D., the Vandals soon after 533 A.D., and the Ostrogoths in 554 A.D, all of whom were asserted to hold to the Arian belief. However, Limborch (The History of the Inquisition, p. 95) doubts that Arius held the views attributed to him.

Concerning the Vandals, Bunch writes:

“It is reckoned that during the reign of Justinian, Africa lost five millions of inhabitants; thus Arianism was extinguished in that region, not by any enforcement of conformity, but by the extermination of the race which had introduced and professed it.”– History of the Christian Church, J.C. Robertson, Vol. 1, p. 521.
