Yeah atheism explains nothing and is not concerned with truth or falsehood as it relates to the big questions in life. It has certain built in assumptions, humans have no souls, are not accountable to God because God is simply no there. This life is all there is and death means extinction. The murderer who escapes human justice simply dies out and ceases to exist. No ultimate justice for his victims, no accountability. Atheism assumes rights and responsibilities are derived from men and not God as stated in our Declaration of Independence. Human rights held hostage to the dictates of men many of whom have no problem enslaving as they do in many parts of the world today. Abuse of power by world leaders have no real consequences in the end. Atheism by its very nature allows for moral nihilism.

The Declaration of Independence was the basis for our liberation from British tryanny. Under that scenario the King abrogated his right to rule due to a long train of abuses. Without that revolutionary document there would have been no independent United States and no U.S. Constitution. You sell your birthright for a bowl of gruel. And you say i am lost.

In Greek mythology Zeus was the Chief God. The Roman's called him 'Zeus the Father' whihc in Latin is "Deus Pater" which was cantracted to "Jupiter".

The Greek and Latin Bibles still call God as Zeus and Deus Pater.

Note that Zeus was known for getting human women pregnant.

You have described the real world that exists now. All of the Christian dreaming does not make it real. There is zero evidence for life after death and the existence of a God who made everything in the universe and yet demands worship by humans.

Belief in Gods is just silly....we have grown out of the need, but some children just don't want to let go of them.

10. You sell your birthright for a bowl of gruel. And you say i am lost.
Your dishonesty is palpable.

1. Correct. Atheism is simply a lack of belief in a god or gods, which certainly has nothing to do with any big questions in life. No gods have ever been demonstrated to have any impact on a natural universe.

2. There are atheists that believe in souls, so your statement is patently false. Once again, atheism is simply the lack of a belief in a god or gods. Are you really that dense or just dishonest?

3. No other condition of life has ever been demonstrated. There is zero evidence for a supernatural afterlife. This life is enough, anyway. Are you so childishly afraid that your ego is going to die that you cling to ridiculous stories of supernatural nonsense?

4. If the murderer is a Christian, under the rules of your dogma, they receive eternal bliss. What does this have to do with anything? You have no evidence of retributive gods or supernatural afterlives.

5. Ultimate justice? Haha. You're strange.

6. The Declaration is not the law of the land. Why do we have man made laws at all then? How do you hinge the existence of a supernatural being on the custom of the time? Notice when they composed the law they omitted the gods.

7. Uh, those Framers were slave owners, you know, the ones you just trumpeted as describing rights as creator-given. Notice, also, there is no mention of a god but a deistic creator. That ain't no god, reverend.

8. You're really on a non-sequitur roll here, Zippy. Provide some evidence for your divine retribution or it'll just have to be considered your revenge porn fantasies.

9. More non-sequiturs. Creator, nitwit. Not gods. Oh, and they were slave owners. They continued the abuses and committed many more of their own. You're strange and unlearned.

10. "I sold my birthright for a bowl of gruel"? Not only are you lost but you might be insane. Go seek some help.

Kings rule by "divine right." As *any* king, they'll tell you.

Thomas Paine was the first person to coin the name United States of America, and he was another deist like Jefferson.

Very dramatic.

But for me, it's very simple: I don't believe in the supernatural.

We can discuss morality, justice, fairness, rights and responsibilites, compassion, all of those things. We may agree on these issues, or perhaps not.

But for me, atheism just means no deities.

White plus white equals twice as white?

Two whites make a whong?
