and?
Just because they have evidence does NOT mean they're right.
And later learned that it wasn't true, through further study. Science corrects itself.

Not so with your book of lies.

Let's see now ... Apsu is obviously not a native English-speaker, so he feels that he can tell *me* that I don't understand English words ... whose definitions I post. Maybe I should try Farsi?

You're an idiot.

Li'l timmy keeps claiming that *several times* he has posted the name of that "blatant GOP propagandist" who poses as a journalist at Fox, yet he shows no evidence, no links, no proof of any kind, he just demands that I believe him. I challenged him about a dozen times, "Then post the name NOW!" and he refuses--- hereby proving that he has no such name. He is a liar.

And waaasssuuup ... I'd rather not think about you, I just had lunch.

What would you prefer? Just let drugs run rampant through society?
I had to take a quickie trip to our home in Mexico and just got back and I suspect that someone has already informed you of the obvious which is that drugs are running rampant through out our society today.

Why do you believe that if something is illegal less people will do it? Government can not change behavior and an intelligent person would know that. Therefore....

Legal or illegal nothing changes except tax dollars are not wasted, cops are less likely to be corrupted and lives are not ruined by the legal system.

I have to say RR, you are as stupid as Nancy Pelosi and the people who voted for her for making such statements.

Taking prescription drugs exactly as directly by your doctor is the 3rd leading cause of death in America. Look it up, I know you will. Fewer people are killed by street drugs than by doctors and no one has ever died from smoking pot.

What would you prefer? More prisons and more taxes? California already has the highest taxes on everything in the world.

I'm sure that 1,000 years ago, spontaneous generation was unlikely to be found false, too...
Ohmygoodness. You're still missing the point. Let's say it's 50/50 that the central tenets of modern science are right/wrong. The point is, passing along things that at least *seem* to be right is how knowledge increases. The reason we found out spontaneous generation was wrong was because we thought it was right - the reason people devised tests to disprove it was because other people thought it was true. A more contemptuous example - "classical" physics and quantum physics. When we found out that newtonian ideas simply didn't work the smaller you went, a new branch of science was founded to work out why this was - a branch of science that may well not have been pursued if not for us finding that the old ideas *couldn't* describe what we observe at very small scales.

What science boils down to is a process of ruling out what isn't true in slow progress towards what is. After we found out flies did not appear from meat, we knew one more thing about the universe. You are criticizing science because it corrects errors and works out problems, and I truly don't understand that. Do you expect everything to be 100% proven "fact" before it is ever uttered in public? If this was the case, how would we ever learn new things, if there was never any knowledge to challenge/refine?

Believe? Or have proof for?

You have no proof your god exists anywhere other than in your head.

You can't provide proof it exists.

There isn't any.

None.

The Universe exists because it exists. God does not exist because God does not exist.

You seem to have a problem with your shift key not working, you might want to get that fixed.

Did he succeed? Do we still have rape and murder and Dave Nelson? Do we still have poverty, greed, sickness and starvation?
Did Jesus fail.
Yes.
If God can't clean up the mess he created here on the earth what hope is there for mankind to fix itself?
Rev, you aren't worth the effort to get into an intellectual and rational discussion.

"Allegedly, God came to the earth in the flesh to save the world."

You allege that. My understanding is it was to provide a continued existence if you believed in what he said. Not just consider, but believe. You wouldn't have the second coming prophecy if he was going to "save the world" then. Kind of a no brainer. Not surprised at all you missed that. Topix atheists tend to come up short in the comprehension department.

Simple.
1. All the evidence that abiogenesis scientists have, the fact that even under perfect conditions, they can't create life.
2. The belief that life can create itself. I call it a belief because there's no evidence to support that. It's your belief.
No evidence exists that such a thing as the God of the Bible exists nor that this alleged God wrote the god-damned thing.

There is plenty of evidence that humanity exists and that the Universe did not put all its eggs in one basket. Have you ever looked out at the night time sky? How many more suns do you see than say at 12 noon?
