I guess the only response I can come up with to answer such a question would be, YES I DID. I am dead now and figured out a way to post on Topix.

Happy now, dumbass?:)

You aren't even half as clever as you think you are. You're an idiot; obviously a product of in-breeding. Read it again, only this time I *dare* you to think. I know you're just a knee-jerk reactionary liberal, but do try to think for yourself--just this once.
GFYAD
It is becoming proven with every post a liberal makes that liberal thinking is truly a mental disorder. Let's take Obama for instance. This man allowed the veteran memorials to be shut down(for the people that bled for these liberal dumbasses), so illegal immigrants could protest (even though they have already broken the law) for their citizenship. Vets were locked up for just trying to give respect for these soldiers that have died for their freedom. He also has brought this country to it's knees in debt, and these stupid, dumbass liberals love him for it.
It takes a delusional, twisted mind to even comprehend that way of thinking.

Therefore, a mental disorder is the only way to describe this dysfunctional disease of a liberal.

Oh, BTW.

I have been analyzing your past posts and actions on here. Some interesting things appear.

You are a lawyer, and you claim to be a civil rights activist and champion of the oppressed.

Your way is the only way of righteousness. You have no tolerance for differing world and existential views. With a religious fervor.

You just started a church where you can preach your views.

You appear to be following in the footsteps of Fred Phelps. But maybe with a touch more ego. You named your church after yourself. But of course, who else, right?

I can see you demonstrating on the lawn of some old lady you just got evicted. It was what she got for daring to have a tea party at her house. Ex house. And was on Social Security, stealing from the public. She deserved it. Righteousness made you the tool to work its retribution upon the wicked.

Oh, yeah. Forgot to mention you posted yesterday you were in Washington, DC to knock some sense into some people's heads. It appears you may have a propensity toward violence to settle your disputes.

Plus you are fit as a fiddle. You can be a dangerous man. You should be on a watch list.

Like propaganda, for instance. You are very well-versed in standard propaganda techniques of the ultra-religious Right wing.
You are, at best, adequately-versed in standard propaganda techniques of the ultra-socialist Left wing. Anyone who disagrees with you is a racist or ultra-religious. Your liberal masters have programmed you well.

If your educational level was even one tenth as high as mine, you would know that “propaganda” is neither good nor bad, it is neutral. All it does is appeal to emotions rather than the intellect. Like you socialists, for example, screaming “RACIST!!” at anyone who criticizes Nobama for his crappy, failed policies. Or shouting down your opponent’s words by screeching “FREE SPEECH! FREE SPEECH!! FREE SPEECH!!” as I’ve seen your idiot allies doing.

You believe Obama to be perfect because he's black, while you accuse everyone else of hating him because he's black. That makes *YOU* the racist, scooter; you are a left-wing liberal racist.

I'm ashamed of my not being able to figure out your mysterious letter combination. I really am. I'll pray for the end of liberal pinkos and the invention of a magical search engine on the 'intercontinental website index' that I might be able to one day decipher this combination of letters you find to be so profound. I might one day unlearn my pinko ways and embrace these five letters you so bravely admire, comrade.
You *do* need to be spoon-fed, don't you? Isn't your nine years of college paying off for you, liberal? I really do have to explain the obvious to you, don't I?

Jesus was a myth, just like all the other myths. The big difference is that the origins of the other myths are easier to track down, while yours is blend that is quite difficult to separate.

Did you ever wander off. Right off to wiki and reciting one portion of a larger process.
You didn't even grasp what I was describing.
Well, what you are describing doesn't agree with reality.
Dave Nelson wrote:
The lithosphere rides just above that more slippery layer I was talking about. That's your tectonic plates. Your bulldozer blade when it moves.
Africa rests on one of those plates. Now understand that plate isn't a monolithic substance, but an amalgam and layered with different materials, as is the continent that sits on it, or more properly a part of it.
Any mass with enough weight moving sideways will shear, or try to, any mass it encounters.
This has nothing to do with the boundary between the plates with South America and Africa, though.
The two plates in question are moving apart from one another, not shearing one another or moving towards one another. The ridge formed by this boundary is called the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. At this ridge, new plate material is being produced as magma from beneath the crust is reaching the seafloor and hardening. This is happening right now, at this very instant.
There are three major boundary types - transform, divergent, and convergent. You are assuming a transform or convergent boundary, while the Mid-Atlantic Ridge is a divergent boundary.
Dave Nelson wrote:
That SE coast outline was an impression left in the lithosphere. The continent shifted on the lithosphere without erasing that outline. Look at the eastern side of that Venezuelan basin and the bulging eastwards. Notice the sheer drops on the north side in particular.
I am not disputing that the Eastern coast of South America used to be connected to the Western coast of Africa - all geographic and biological evidence suggests this very idea. We call this ancient supercontinent Gondwana.
Dave Nelson wrote:
Something serious happened. And the direction seems to have been eastward towards Africa.
You are just making this up. We do not know what happened, whether it could have been due to some cataclysmic event or if it was a slower, gradual process. Regardless it happened very long before humans rolled along.
Dave Nelson wrote:
It could have been much longer than 12,000 years. They have been finding sites in the New World dating 20 to 40 thousand years. Could even be longer.
The breakup of Gondwana happened about 140-150 million years ago based on the evidence we have gathered, not 12,000, or 20,000, or 40,000, or whatever number you want to make up (unless that number is between 140 million and 150 million, of course). At the rate the continents are moving apart, 40,000 years puts Africa and South America being about 1000 meters from each other today! Certainly that is not the case at all. You have been using the account of Plato concerning Atlantis which placed the mythical city's demise at about 12,000 years ago. You are not only disagreeing with actual science, you are disagreeing with the very mythology you are using in the first place.

You are just making this up as you go along.
Dave Nelson wrote:
The simple fact is a 2500 year or so old text from Greece was referencing some technology and a civilization long before the "official" record can indicate. In addition to the rise and fall of civilizations and many environmental catastrophes. Evidently people were doing more than collecting nuts and berries, hunting mastodons, and grunting.
It is called mythology. Greek records also talked about gods living on Mount Olympus and so far none of those have been found either.

Do you believe that a pantheon of gods live on Mt. Olympus somewhere?

I know, I'm asking him to prove it here.
You do realize, don’t you, that doing so in an internet chat forum is quite impossible? What is the point of asking someone to do the impossible?
RiversideRedneck wrote:
<quoted text> People prove God all the time, too. By experiencing Him.
That is not proof, that is subjective perception of things not in evidence. That is convincing one's self, not proving something to someone else. By its very nature, proof demands evidence.

I wrote: <quoted text> But the story of jesus sacrificing himself for all mankind and ressurecting three days later is just a myth. No witnesses, no official records, no nothing--except for *older* myths of various godmen who came to Earth to save us from ourselves.
Deal with it. Someday you'll thank me.<end quote>
RiversideRedneck wrote:

No , I can't thank you for lying to me.
I’m not lying, Pappa Bear. I don’t need to; I have nothing to gain from it.

And you are as welcome to your *beliefs* as everyone else is; just have the cojones to admit that they *are beliefs,* and not inarguable facts.

When you tell a non-believer that god is real--period!--that non-believer has every right to ask you to prove it. It's a logical enough request; if you cannot give sufficient reason for that person to believe what you believe, then why the heck should they?

Now, if you were to answer their request (as I always do) with, "I can't," what's wrong with that? Actually, if you think about it, it's more advantageous to respond that way. It drains the wind of combativeness from their sails.

Do you really think that such an admission is going to weaken your faith in your own position? Somehow, I don't think it would.
