I love how mad Obama is about this.
By golly, he is mad as hell and he will get it fixed. Just trust him.
Nothing like a little righteous indignation to win people over, eh?
A shame. All that talent, all that knowing what was best for us. All that planning, all that tax money paying for that talent to put it together.
Those "in the know", those who are "informed", those who are "educated", you know, the average Topix atheist and progressive liberal, they know where the real problem is.
It's Bush's fault.
Oh, geez.

Did ya see that "ethnic diversity" standing behind him? You know that shit's fake.

They even had the fat Asian-ish gal, lol.

Go figure.
I truly wish she had somehow become vp, and then, as horrible as it is to wish death on someone, that john mccain would have peacefully passed away so that she could ascend to president. The inevitable apocalypse would be worth it for the funnies.

Go ahead, stay ignorant. It's the only way you can keep your beliefs intact.
So a critical mass of irony does not end the universe. Glad we have that sorted out.

Recently, there was a group of scientists who claimed to have found a way to detect dark matter, but I've not read their research yet.
<quoted text>These did not "make us happen." They might have had indirect influence, but do not directly shape biological evolution.
<quoted text>Saying science "proves" there is no deity is like saying science "proves" there are no elves. Nothing can "disprove" the existence of whatever invisible, magical beings anyone wants to suggest are real. This is of no concern for science, though, because anyone suggesting the existence of invisible, magical beings have the burden of proof to substantiate their wild claims.
Strange how belief in deities and belief in elves have so much in common, eh?
Don't you know dave? Don't you dare insult his em thingies. He's spent *minutes* tinkering with magnets in his garage, and has upended all of modern scientific thought in the process.

It is not my responsibility to answer, RR.

You are the one claiming that the title was in reference to Jesus, but can provide no evidence to substantiate such a claim. Now you want me to find your answer for you?

Fox wasn't accusing NPR of anything; I made it clear that NPR deliberately ate one of their own for voicing an opinion that was not popular with NPR--and this is what they *and you* call "free speech."

<quoted text>You do not seem to understand that no, I do not believe in this magical "creation" event you are prattling on about. What you are doing is incorporating your fantasies into modern physics in an attempt to justify your fantasies as somehow being real (or, possibly real) as a result.
Humans are not part of any grand, cosmic "plan" or "process" of any sort. This is the part that many people seem to struggle with - that their life or being is not part of any universal "plan" laid out by some magical force of some sort. I've never understood why some people feel it necessary to think such a thing; it is a form of self-idolatry.
No, you don't understand. Dave was always an atheist, and then he came to jesus through a self taught application of the universal physical laws. A true maverick he is. His having grown up in a christian society and his ultimate choice to believe in jesus is only a happy coincidence.

<quoted text>
No, dumbass. Prove that there's more historical evidence of Spider-man than Jesus.
Go.
Man. You've sunk low. But for real, who do you think would win in a fight?

Jesus's powers:
-indomitable will
-resistance to trickery
-incredible endurance
-pretty ripped bod
Special powers: ability to call upon the father once per fight

Spiderman's powers:
-very high agility and strength
-web slinging
-very smart
-cunning

Result, IMO: spiderman wins by tying jesus to a piece of wood with his webs and letting him sit there for 3 days. in a surprise twist, jesus uses his "call on the father power" right before death, and spiderman is smote instantly. jesus still dies though, because the father is a dick.

You have nothing original to say. Perhaps you lack the ability.
You mentioned Atlantis a post or two ago.
Get on Google Earth and zoom to the Venezuelan Basin. It is that large rectangular area under the ocean just south of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico extending down toward the South American coast. Note the landscape around it. Note the depth and how sheer it is. That is where Atlantis was. Measure the area and compare to the accounts. Fits well. A bit silted over since then. Refer to the mud and hazards to navigation in and around the Mediterranean after it sank.
Then zip over to the Mid=Atlantic Ridge and locate the old outline of where Africa was. It is pretty clear. Atlantis was not far from outside the Pillars of Hercules. Note also how clear the old SE coastline shows up. It should have been erased by any drifting. The crust jumped and Africa got moved. A sudden displacement of the mantle below.
Academia is in error on its accounts of history and other things. And so are you.
Words cannot express how happy I am that you believe in atlantis. It adds an element of childish whimsy to your persona.
