Now you are being silly, but the possibility there was a continent of Atlantis, exactly where Homer said it was. And that it sunk into the sea is possible. Unfortunately it may not ever be proven, unless some part of it escaped the fate of the huge portion of oceanic crust , that is missing.
http://news.discovery.com/earth/weather-extre...
But along with this discovery , came the discovery of the largest black smoker known on Earth, and a volcanically active spot that produces more of the building blocks of life than any other place on Earth. If there were a island there once, it is easy to see how it could have sunk into the mantle, in this highly geologically active hot spot.
The thinnest known earth crust is less than 20,000 feet, and that is out in the ocean. That is mantle beneath.

Look at that area on Google Earth I referred to. The depth is in the 14,000 range. Atlantis was a plain surrounded by mountains on three sides. North, east, and west. The south was open and led to the ocean. Look at that basin.

Go.
You have to provide evidence that you kissed your "SO".

Otherwise, it's only anecdotal evidence , which the skeptics shun.

Can you provide evidence of your claim?

No, it's super duper ignorant and uneducated.

It often goes along with trashy racism.

Racism does have its roots in ignorance, and you are the perfect example.

its obvious you Misunderstood the verse and the metaphor ,the verse doesn't mean that the spider is unbeliever, spiders and other living things certainly believe in the creator according to other versus, it talks about those who take protectors other than Allah ,and if they Knew definitely refer to those who take other protectors or helpers , because it was mentioned so many times and in so many versus, you didn't understand the metaphor because you are not used to the way of Quran.
here is a better translation of the verse, Sahih international
The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.
Spiders believe in god?

You are blowing smoke out of your ass you believe is some sort of truth or rational argument.
You can't find any newspaper articles about a Jesus from that time.
Lovely. You are a credit to your intelligence level.
A lot of official Roman records, along with Jewish, were destroyed in the Judeo-Roman wars. Especially the paper ones. They burned real good.
Now, you do have things like the lead codices that get poopoohed by some, but they would have been the newspapers or tracts of the day. Easy to mass produce. You carve a stamp and imprint lead sheets. Long before Gutenberg. Be sure much of that lead got recycled later.
With all of this, though, you are suggesting that the evidence lies somewhere in what was destroyed.
It is a suggestion, sure, but not a suggestion backed up by any evidence. We could use the same logic to assume that Hercules or Perseus was a real person.
Dave Nelson wrote:
But here is what you do have, and it is unmistakeable.
You have the civilization and education that arose from it from events 2000 years ago that within a couple of hundred years was a major player in the Roman civilization and led to what you have now.
Evidence of Christians is not evidence of Jesus. Similarly, evidence of the cult of Mithras in no way substantiates the idea that Mithras was real. Evidence of the cult of Dionysus in no way suggests that Dionysus was real.
Dave Nelson wrote:
Now, really, the Romans being Romans, do you really believe this Jesus was an imaginary creature?
What they believed is not evidence. They believed in a whole host of gods and mythical heroes, and their belief in these beings is not evidence that these gods or mythical heroes were in any way real.
Dave Nelson wrote:
Do you believe someone like Tacitus had something to gain?
Tacitus referred to a "Christus" and to Christians. "Christ" (or, "Christus") is a title and not a name; it means "the anointed one" more or less. There were many people in the day who claimed to be the "Christ." As far as "Christians," I am not disputing that there was indeed a cult/religion built around this mythical hero just like with Mithras and Dionysus (to use examples already referred to).
Dave Nelson wrote:
Do you believe there was a conspiracy to rewrite the history of the world after these adherents to this made up religion took control of the Roman Empire?
Let's listen to what Eusebius (3rd-4th century CE) had to say about the matter: "How it may be lawful and fitting to use falsehood as a medicine, and for the benefit of those who want to be deceived."
So, according to this Roman historian, the answer to your question is yes.
Dave Nelson wrote:
Do you believe the persecutions of Christians is an elaborate hoax?
Once again, like the existence of worshipers of Attis does not make Attis a real god/hero, worshipers of "the Christ" does not make "the Christ" a real god/hero.
Dave Nelson wrote:
Do you believe Romans themselves, with political ambitions within Rome, would subscribe to this hoax? Especially if they didn't use it to rise to power, it being something they adapted along the way?
The Romans subscribed to belief in all sorts of gods and heroes.
Tell me, do you believe in Dionysus because the Romans did and even worshiped him?
Dave Nelson wrote:
Do you believe Roswell is a government cover up?
Do you believe there is a clandestine government/extraterrestial hybrid program in Dulce, NM being deliberately kept secret by your elected leaders?
Like the historicity of Jesus, there is no substantial evidence (other than dramatic stories) to suggest such a thing.

So far, Dave, your arguments can be used to suggest that Dionysus, Hercules, Attis, and Mithras were real. Do you really believe in these gods/heroes?

"Yes.[We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips " (Qur'an, 75:4)
Once again you are claiming a verse says something it doesn't.
It's just about the resurrection and how God could make us completely whole to our extremities. It never mentions fingerprints or unique identities.
man you still don't get it , its not a book of science its a religious book, it would completely make no sense if the verse said we (Allah) are able even to proportion his fingertips which has a very different details and shapes and everyone has a different fingertip ..!!! no one would understand that 1400 years ago , and why would the Quran say yes we are able to proportion his fingertips ?!! unless its something big, when god says yes I am able to proportion fingertips it certainly means there is something behind it, the Quran could say yes I am able to create bones or blood for instance or any organ, again Don't forget we are dealing with a 1400 years old book, its not a biology book , and there so many versus encourage the humans to learn, think and observe everything , we have brains and minds to use them and understand everything around us.

Plato didn't give a time frame. He was relaying a story Egyptians gave him.
You are assuming the continental drift theory as presented is true.
Look at that area. There is no other geological formation like that I can find. It is very odd. If you can find one like that, please link.
If it was as I said about the continents being much closer, Atlantis would not be such a fable.
There are also folk tales where some Indian tribes claim to be from Atlantis originally.
Look at Google Earth. That is taken from space. Explain why the SE coast of Africa was not erased. It is a very close fit to today's coast.
You are suggesting that an event that geologic evidence places at 140-150 million years ago happened so recently as to be comical at best. Let us change 12,000 (the time frame I initially used) to "sometime in the past million years" - you are still approximately 139-149 million years off and are very, very far outside the timeline of the history of our species.
Once again, it is real-world evidence that you are maintaining some sort of ideological battle against.
If you want to rewrite the geologic history of the Earth based on your insistence of Atlantis being real, that is a matter you will have to take up with the geologists of the world. Until you disprove what the geologic record shows us, what you are suggesting is just comical.
