I have never even remotely hinted towards the world being very simple, as you stated. Rather, the exact opposite is true. You, on the other hand, are the one who believes in magic and who equates that which you do not know to being a product of magic. That is as simple an outlook as there is.
That's Dave - he thinks he's sooooo clever getting up on his little anti-liberal soapbox and throwing down his so-called insults, putting words in people's mouths and acting like some kind of poor martyr.

"I'm a Certified Victim of the "liiiiiberal progreeeeesi-hi-hi-hives! Wahhh!" snivels Dave Nelson. What bullsh!t.

There's really no difference in the feeling of supremacy at the heart of racism. It's the same "I'm better than YOU" schoolyard fight.
You're pretty much a lost cause - a liar, a racist, a sexist, and a complete moron to believe that it is right for a "Christian" to "enjoy racist jokes and enjoy telling them". Yeah, that's just the bullsh!t your "Pastor" (Grand Wizard) told you at your last "service" (klan meeting)

I didn't know that was the origin of it, makes sense though. Limbaugh usually talks about the things nobody else wants to talk about but most people want to hear, FemiNazism included.

In a society in which people still claim the Holocaust did not happen, and in which there are resounding claims that the American president is, in fact, a Muslim born on foreign soil, is it any surprise to learn that the greatest figure in the history of Western civilization, the man on whom the most powerful and influential social, political, economic, cultural and religious institution in the world -- the Christian church -- was built, the man worshipped, literally, by billions of people today -- is it any surprise to hear that Jesus never even existed?

That is the claim made by a small but growing cadre of (published ) writers, bloggers and Internet junkies who call themselves mythicists. This unusually vociferous group of nay-sayers maintains that Jesus is a myth invented for nefarious (or altruistic) purposes by the early Christians who modeled their savior along the lines of pagan divine men who, it is alleged, were also born of a virgin on Dec. 25, who also did miracles, who also died as an atonement for sin and were then raised from the dead.

Few of these mythicists are actually scholars trained in ancient history, religion, biblical studies or any cognate field, let alone in the ancient languages generally thought to matter for those who want to say something with any degree of authority about a Jewish teacher who (allegedly) lived in first-century Palestine. There are a couple of exceptions: of the hundreds -- thousands?-- of mythicists, two (to my knowledge) actually have Ph.D.
Note: Ehrman compares mythicists to holocaust deniers and those who claim Obama is a Muslem.

No it's not. There is no historical evidence of jesus. If you are attempting to refer to the Shroud of Turin, that was already debunked.

Jesus was based on older myths.

All living creatures emit bio-photons, they are near infrared and have only 1/3 the energy of normal photons. They are it seems the reason we are alive.
Stop.
This is what I am talking about.
Sure, research into bio-photons is exciting news, but none of it hints at them being "the reason we are alive."
It is the "reason we are alive" part where you have inserted your own (qualitative) opinion into the quantitative data of others as if the two are related somehow.

"The mystery of life itself" is a silly way of saying it, though dramatic.
As an aside, though, we were able to isolate the part of the genome responsible for the bioluminescence in some bacteria and insert it into the genome of a tree. The product being worked on are trees that glow at night.

Humans are not part of any grand, cosmic "plan" or "process" of any sort. This is the part that many people seem to struggle with - that their life or being is not part of any universal "plan" laid out by some magical force of some sort. I've never understood why some people feel it necessary to think such a thing; it is a form of self-idolatry.
For many religionists, their god is based on self-idolatry.

Their god hates who they hate.

They want their god to kill certain people for them (SMITE those unbelivers, KILL those infidels!),

Their god somehow singles THEM out as "speeeeeecial" while the rest of the world can go to hell.

This is a sick, insidious form of prejudice that is what is keeping our species in bloody conflict - with its own self - over what is basically bullsh!t stories and gossip too difficult to ever confirm clearly.

To be honest, I think we humans are too focused on the wrong thing.

We need to be focused on having a future instead of fighting ourselves to death about where we came from and how we got here.

Fighting ourselves to death is GUARANTEED to put us "back where we came from" - DEAD in the realm of Nonexistence.

It is true that Jesus is not mentioned in any Roman sources of his day. That should hardly count against his existence, however, since these same sources mention scarcely anyone from his time and place. Not even the famous Jewish historian, Josephus, or even more notably, the most powerful and important figure of his day, Pontius Pilate.

I'm the one that describes processes based upon physical laws we use all of the time. You just recite the same old mantra referencing vague ideas.

You have nothing original to say. Perhaps you lack the ability.

You mentioned Atlantis a post or two ago.

Get on Google Earth and zoom to the Venezuelan Basin. It is that large rectangular area under the ocean just south of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico extending down toward the South American coast. Note the landscape around it. Note the depth and how sheer it is. That is where Atlantis was. Measure the area and compare to the accounts. Fits well. A bit silted over since then. Refer to the mud and hazards to navigation in and around the Mediterranean after it sank.

Then zip over to the Mid=Atlantic Ridge and locate the old outline of where Africa was. It is pretty clear. Atlantis was not far from outside the Pillars of Hercules. Note also how clear the old SE coastline shows up. It should have been erased by any drifting. The crust jumped and Africa got moved. A sudden displacement of the mantle below.

Academia is in error on its accounts of history and other things. And so are you.

I put Limbaugh in the same sewer as O'Reilly.

Sean Hannity I kinda like. I seldom agree with him on most issues, but at least he had the guts to do a Playboy interview to explain his point of view. As I said, I may not always agree with him, but I *do* respect him.

Hey, IDIOT BIGOT.

You ARE a supremacist BY being a racist and enjoying racism. A WHITE supremacist. A mother*ckin SICKO.

If you were NOT a supremacist then you would HAVE NO REASON TO BE RACIST.

Do YOU understand, or is the scent of your "Pastor" Grand Wizard's pasty white feet too strong for you to think right?

You cannot claim to "be a Christian" while being a white supremacist racist. That goes directly against your tenets and your Jesus wouldn't approve. That makes you a flaming hypocrite.
