Brother in law. As I stated.

Over the last seven years he has seen 5 psychiatrists, 4 doctors (GPs) 3 government panels comprising of medical experts including physiatrists, GPS and mental health workers as well as weekly visits from a health worker who all agree.

But hey, perhaps these qualified experts are all wrong and RR who knows nothing about mental disability, nothing about my brother in law, nothing about the British NHS and nothing about the British DLA guesses that he is right. fair enough

The new superpowers? China, definitely (and India , maybe), in the next 20 years.
Where Russia aligns itself in the future is interesting.
They need the money from selling arms, so they have to align themselves to certain middle east countries - at this point, Syria - as the middle east is a hot bed of confrontation between Shia and Sunni.
Remember the "1,000 year muslim war"?

Yes declining, but empires can and do fluctuate this way.
The combined strength of the EU is an possible emerging superpower.
Russia's fall of the Eastern block can be revitalized.
China is definitely rising and India could possibly rise.

Obama's a disaster.
Y'know what Obama once told Russian president Putin, when he didn't know the microphone was on? This was captured on videp: "Once I'm re-elected, I'll have greater flexibility." Was the fix already in? And who's he working for--us, or Putin?
He may be considered a disaster by those US voters half a percent more right wing than him (*see below) however the rest of the world, particularly those effected by the US economy have a different view. You will also note that it was broad opinion that Romney would have started a 3rd world war. Could very well have done wonders for the US economy and screw every one else.

And is it not true that a second term US president has more flexibility than a first term president? Why would this suggest something sinister unless of course you want to see something sinister in his every word. You consider that a slip, lake a look at google under the search term “bushisms”, his slips have caused a new word to enter the English language. And of course even before the election Romney had single handily managed to offend Britain, Russia, China and Palestine.

*
The political compass put the political leaning of Romney and Obama within a point to the far right of neutral and Romney just a few points more authoritarian than Obama almost at the top of the scale.

It may interest you to know that both are considerably more right wing than Hitler ever was and on a par with Bashire al-Assad

I have taken the test with the result that I am close to people like Gandhi and the Dalai Lama and Mandella, this no doubt explains our differences of opinion.

It depends who it aligns itself to, as the EU is in serious decline in the medium to long term as a result of
1 - it's over priced currency
2 - impotency in relation to making decisions about its future as to where it's going to "stand" in the world in the future.(like I said, these are interesting times, and countries who just "observe" -like the EU countries- and don't get their hands grubby to participate in the emerging new world order, so to speak, will be left behind quickly).

I was using that do describe one of the vets I used to work for. She was a survivor of the London blitz as a 7-year-old, born and raised in London. As an adult, she *hated* socialized medicine there.
<quoted text>
That doesn't make sense.
Nothing is ever "free," other than air; someone's gotta pay for it.
<quoted text>
Not anymore. My boss can't afford it anymore, thanks to Obama.
<quoted text>
Yes, it is, damn it. That's why everyone is so pissed off. Fines are applied to those who fail or refuse to sign up. Some think the fines are cheaper than the coverage, and are willing to take their chances about getting caught not complying with the federal mandate.
<quoted text>
It wasn't until Obama came along and got that crappy law passed.
<quoted text>
And it's up to a *free people* to decide *for themselves* whether or not to buy insurance. The wise thing to do is to buy it, if it's affordable; if it isn't, it isn't. Those are the breaks in a free society.
Obamacare is compulsory, and for many it's unaffordable. For even more, it caused their rates to increase by 200%.
"We have to pass the law in order to know what's in it." Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Speaker of the House of Representatives. How much more ass-backward can one get? One is supposed to know what's in the law **BEFORE** it's passed, not afterward!
Pelosi's a dumbass.
Ok, that does not mean socialised medicine is wrong, it just means she hated it. Also note that socialised medicine was introduce in the UK in 1948, some years after the blitz.

Funny how Americans talk about their freedoms and than start putting barriers to freedom in whenever anyone questions US freedom.

Perhaps you need a better job, seems to me like your boss is using this as an excuse to reduce the benefits he pays his staff.

Wrong, the act states that everyone should have health insurance or be taxed 1% of income, it does not define who operates that heath insurance and not all health insurance companies are called obamacare. Tax allowances are available for qualifying people taking out health insurance.

Tell me, do you look out for traffic when crossing a busy road? Surely it’s up to free people to make the best possible provision for themselves. In most 3rd world countries either social healthcare or health insurance is compulsory. Or are you considering US people free to die of any number of easily curable diseases because they can’t afford insurance?

Wrong, health care is compulsory, and it seems to have caused a bout of corporate greed.

As for Pelosi -?

Do you *really* believe that being forced by the government to buy insurance, whether one can afford it or not, is a good thing?
<quoted text>
Oh, bullshit. He had nothing to do with the Unaffordable Health Care act. Why are you trying to blame Bush? Is it just the liberal thing to do? You don't even live here; what do *you* care what goes on here?
<quoted text>
Obama quadrupled our debt. He hasn't eased anything.
<quoted text>
It went into effect on the first of October. Congess is exempt; Big Business is exempt; Michelle and the kids are exempt; care to explain why?
<quoted text>
For good reason, too. It's a disaster. Nancy Pelosi herself pointed out that she didn't believe Congess should know what they were voting on: "We have to pass the law so we can know what's in it." If they had known what was in it, it would never have been passed.
<quoted text>
Which polls?
<quoted text>
As I pointed out, it is compulsory--unless one is a member of Congress, or a Congressional aide.
<quoted text>
You know nothing of what you write. Obama's been in office for FIVE YEARS, and his mewling supporters are still trying to blame Bush. Yes, he left us with a huge debt; Obama TRIPLED IT. That is on HIM.
(snipped for brevity again....)
<quoted text>
Obamacare is mandatory for most; Congress and Big Business are exempt, the Unions don't want it, and the rest of us are stuck with it.
Fact.
<quoted text>
This doesn't make sense.
A CNBC poll shows major differences when asked about the law in different manners: 46% were against Obamacare, while only 37% were opposed to the Affordable Care Act.

A Kaiser poll in March 2013 showed over 55%, and up to 88%, of Americans regard the following facets of Obamacare at least somewhat favorably. Tax credits to small businesses to buy insurance, closing the Medicare "doughnut hole", creating insurance exchanges, giving rebates to customers of insurance customers that spend too much on administrative costs, and the employer mandate

As I pointed out, health care is not obama care

Don’t tell me I know nothing about what I write, I had a considerable amount of money invested in the US while bush was in power and because of his incompetence I lost it.

Do you really think that any president who took over after the atrocities bush forced on your country and the world would have done any better. OK, stupid question, of course you do, however it’s all hypothetical isn’t it because it did not happen. And as I have said before the opinion was that Romney would have crucified America and most of the world though nothing more that ignorant intolerance.

Again, healthcare is compulsory.

Of course you would think that it doesn’t make sense to you, that’s just your way of thinking. In just the same way as the right wing screw those poorer than me attitude makes no sense to me.

<quoted text>Ok, right, but see, Jesus kept Jewish law during his ministry. Somewhere in the Bible ,not sure where, Jesus said that he didn't come to change the Jewish law (which is God's law) but to confirm and give testimony of the will of the Father. So how did Christians end up with a separate system of traditions? Beats me!! And for the record, I do believe that God exists but don't label myself a Christian. I guess I lean more towards Intelligent Design but still find that all of the scriptures have something to tell. I'm just on a mission trying to figure out some things about them.
For the record, I believe in God and I am a Christian. I also believe Intelligent Design is a reality.

Why is he so willing and eager to cooperate with Russia?
So what, people speak, it’s a common trait among humanity.

Well there is the fact that Russia is a country just like the US and despite your obvious dislike of Russia they are a major player in world politics, there is considerable US investment in Russia. But hey ho, perhaps you are saying that the cold war should return?

The U.S. government will ultimately default. I don't think it's a possibility, but much rather a certainty. It's just a matter of time. Their government has been running an idiotic business for a long time now, not simply since the Bush or Clinton era. Tax doesn't cover their services and they have too few profitable enterprises, so they rely on selling bonds. And that is the trend of all western governments, including yours and mine.
And most of U.S. government debt is owed to private U.S. citizens. We shall probably see more privatisation of services in the U.S., where the rich will have the power. That's a precursor to monarchy.
They come with all of these ideals, but they are too stupid to realise these ideals cost money to maintain.
I more or less agree with every word you said there.

However I believe the biggest debt is owed to China and I am sure the US will default, which means they will no longer be able to raise loans to pay the interest on their loans and China will become the richest country in the world. The US will be relegated to more or less third world status.
