Having a medical degree is no guarantee that a doctor is sane OR normal in any way. Poor David was doomed after having been a guinea pig for one maniacal doctor after another.
sadly, many doctors have the mentality of a mechanic, only they deal with the customer's body rather than their car.

therefore, i don't trust a dr with my body anymore than i do a mechanic with my car. i.e., do i tell a mechanic to do whatever they think my car needs? NO - we'd all be broke if we did that and our cars wouldn't be any better off; sometimes worse....:-)

This discussion was valid 100 years ago.
Who cares now if God exists or not?
I that important to know?
Tradicional god has been changed to money god, power god, technoloogy god and so on.
We shouldn`t believe in nothing but humam being but we continue believing in things or gods that can help us to live.

you're entitled to your opinion...so don't get circumcized!

but, you sadly always seem to land on the side of error....sigh

me thinks that you would have made a great nazi, and if pertinent, you'd probably be first in line for the mark of the beast!:)

here's a simple test: do you like the idea of a socialist/humanist society and cashless economy where peeps like me are not afforded the freedom of speech to spew our "hate"?:)

"In his new book, The Grand Design Hawking argues that "the universe can and will create itself from nothing." The collective heads of all the dishonest Christians who have argued that atheists claim that everything comes from nothing have just imploded."
Those were your posts.
The second is not rational. Theists, particularly creationists, believe everything came from something. A belief you share. Why would their heads implode?

That was my post.
Read your very first sentence at the top of this post.
You are a lunatic.
A physicist's definition of nothing is not the colloquial definition. You are commiting an equivocation fallacy.

Well, I wasn't, but many certainly are. Sexuality is a sliding scale, from 100% heterosexual to 100% homosexual. You have zero evidence for your claim other than your nasty psyche.

I have told you I believe people should stop believing just any old tale told to them. I can see why that would sound silly to a pew warmer like yourself who does not know there is a difference between a fact and a belief.
Keep up with the gay insults and I'll tell you about the time I danced naked in a gay bar in San Francisco. Made a lot of tips that night. Gays are very generous putting dollar bills in gym socks. I probably made more money that one night than you have in your whole entire life.
"I believe people should stop believing just any old tale told to them"

i couldn't agree with you more!

do you believe the THEORY of evolution; why or why not?

as to the rest of your post; i'm sincerely beginning to like you as a person!

Really, now?

Then give us that definition.

Also provide a differentiation between that and the "supernatural".

Enlighten us.

You didn't even bother to write out the verse what an idiot. And you miss the whole point that verses that contradict your favorite verse exist and have equal weight which proves you play favorites with verses; What verse you like you promote what verse you don't like you ignore. What a real Christian you are.
"the whole point that verses that contradict your favorite verse exist"

alright Al, i'm gonna try to work with you on this:

you said previously that "the world is an insane asylum" or something like it. i said that i agree.

if you and i agree that the world is out of control and that history records it was at other times as well; how can you fault a righteous God for flooding or raising up an army against societies who were being barbaric, brutal and lawless and who would not repent???

Did you click on the link I provided?
The earth is a lunatic asylum because people believe what they are told with out question. Normal people question what they are told and they verify its truth before them make it their own. Your mamma said Jesus and you believed her hook, line and sinker. My cousin said Jesus and I laughed. I had already been deceived about Santa.
Now do you have any proof we can look at that your beliefs correspond to reality? Or are you just going to continue making assertions?
"The earth is a lunatic asylum because people believe what they are told with out question"

true dat!

again - do you believe the THEORY of evolution; why or why not?

please don't make me regret trying to work with you, Al....

People don't believe in evolution, people come to the conclusion that evolution is the best description of the changes in living organisms in Earth's history. It explains how we can have animals that are very similar, but very different. It explains why completely different animals have similarities.
It also explain why there is a succession of hominids that start out looking more like apes and over millions of years become increasingly more human. So when it boils down it, evolution is not a belief, it is a conclusion.

My apologies if you are not. But I won't apologize for your errors in your "religious thinking" - those will have to be corrected by yourself.
Maybe taking the time to research what you claim before stating it willdo it for you.
BTW - can you please tell me where "God" specifically states which texts are "of His" inspiration and which are not?
Thanks for responding, but you really need to work on your insults better. Maybe taking a few lessons from the so-called "Christians" will help.

It must've been something I said, huh?

Whatever it was, you didn't address it with your response above, so I'll guess, it was probably this statement:

"BTW - can you please tell me where "God" specifically states which texts are "of His" inspiration and which are not?"

I know, it is quite simple to answer - "He didn't."

But for you apologists, it seems that you cannot fathom this, so you lie and object to my statement by not answering, diverting, or just plain ol' calling me a name, and hope that I will jsut go away.

Guess what nano - I'm not, unless your "God" feels the need to smite me down for opposing what men have described "Him" to be.

Guess what - "He" must like what I say, because "He" hasn't done anything at all to reflect my points.

So what is it that I said that caused you to respond the way you did with these remarks?
"...and don't have scum like you dictating what is or is not legal?"

What is legal and what is not? Who was talking about legalities? I sure wasn't. I was asking about which texts are deemed "God inspired" and which are not.

You do know this information, right?

The bad thing is , non believers will always be a small percentage.
The tendency to be religious is genetic, and religious people have lots of children. While atheists and non believers tend to have few children. So it would seem education isn't going to solve the dumb ass jack rabbit problem. So basically were doomed to contending with lots of dumb ass jack rabbits. lol

that's a pretty ridiculous belief system/religion that you have going on there. since you don't have any moral compus or leader, it's no wonder you followers kill each other over petty things!

how & why did 'evolution'(snicker) start and why is there such mathematical order to life and in the cosmos???
