Ya right. Liberals try to teach young parents that they must put their kids through college. They try to teach them how to save money for their kid's college funds.
It isn't an obligation.
But its become one.
You are young, child.

Yes, amongst other things.
I told them that if they decide to go to college, I'll back them 100%. I'll pay their rent & utilities, help them out with a car, food money, etc.
If they don't go to college and want to stay at home, they're gonna pay me rent. I'll not have an adult living with me (that's not in school) that's not paying their fair share.
Only a child believes that people owe this, or people owe that.
Owe is a concept of a child's mind.

Nothing matters but the value a person has. All adults over 40 know that, but you are not even 20, so you wouldn't, little boy scum!

How many times must I ask you that question and all the more since earlier you whined that I don't ask you questions??
How are you gonna help them? With applications, their "homework" or are you gonna pay for their Ramen noodles?
I've already answered you.

Be patient.

You'll see it.

Yes it did.
It had to do with you writing "teenagers are not adults".
It had much more to do with what constitutes "earning" going to college.

You've made it obvious that you don't consider good grades and being a good student prior to college as having "earned" going to college.

And stay stuck that legally, 18 and 19 year olds are adults.

Don't bother yourself with the fact that emotionally and financially and work-experience wise, they are still kids.

Nope. Didn't see it. Not scrolling back either.

If you answered me as you claim you did, it would be much easier for you just to re-post that response.

Oh.... You really want to get into what makes a person emotionally equal to an adult?
Just admit you were wrong when you said teenagers are not adults.
Because 18 & 19 year olds are adults.
I wasn't wrong because I wasn't talking about LEGALLY.

That's YOUR fixation, not mine.

With THAT logic, a 57 year old isn't an adult, they're just in their 50s...
O_o
No, a 57 year old IS an adult and is never referred to as a teenager.

Neither. The "man upstairs" is metaphorical and typically taught only to children.
It's not surprising that atheists can't see past their childhood.
Oh yeah. Believing that 'god exists everywhere' is soooo much more realistic.

Oops! Just saw this post now.

So you'll pay for ALL of their expenses other than college tuition.

Oy gevalt.

I do agree on what you say if they don't go to college- that would be the right thing- for them to get jobs and pay rent.

But you must admit, the passage Rev Alan quoted is a really shitty one!
LOL, good one! RR aka RH will never admit to anything. One has to wonder how many times his God has rubbed the dung from a solemn feast on his face. Maybe we should ask him?

GOD SPREADS DUNG ON FACES: "Behold I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts...." (Mal. 2:3).

How about it RH, how many times has your God rubbed dung from a solemn feast on your face? We know you think this is OK to do so go ahead and tell us.

<quoted text>Also, what RH doesn't get is that many parents don't feel "obligated" to put their kids through college but actually WANT to put their kids through college.
Of course, I guess the prerequisite for wanting to is one must value education.
I see precious little of any indication from RH that he values education.
If memory serves... I mentioned how some kids at a local vocational school where I instructed part-time irked me... specifically, those that didn't really want to be in school... and were attending *only* because their parents told them to get a job or go to school (if they wanted to stay in their parents' houses).

Some of them were under the impression, that upon graduating, they would have BIG money positions waiting for them.

They were happy with themselves. Their strategy was working >>> Free rent, no job, grades didn't really matter, hefty paycheck in the end.

Then they found out the Wendy's down the street paid a higher starting wage than their potential employers would.

I had never encountered a bigger bunch of crybabies. I loved it!.. b'cuz I wasn't getting paid schidt for teaching them... and b'cuz I tried to tell 'em, that for BIG money, where they were at was a good place to start, but it alone wouldn't get 'em where they wanted to be.

Hick thought it was funny.

That's all.
