Why do whales have pelvic bones?
If (in an elementary sense) evolution is right and life started in the oceans, then at some point a fish grew some legs (and eyes, skin, lungs, et to live on land) then later that creature decided living on land wasn't so good so it went back to the water but kept its pelvic bone and lungs.

That's a remarkably simplistic description - but it IS accurate.

1) You have the body and build of John Cena
2) You are roughly as strong as a John Deere
3) You are a master in every fighting style, from Capuera to Shaolin
4) The only fight you have lost, was when fifteen ninjas attacked you from behind
5) You have a fourteen inch penis
Again, how close am I, old hoss?
P.S. You have not demonstrated that you are a cut above anyone on here, mate. You have claimed so. But demonstrated very little in the way of knowledge.
Say. How about a nice and easy high school physics question.
Why is it than when a fill a bucket with water and I spin it in an axis horizontal to my body, the water does not fall out, seemingly 'defying gravity'? And when I slow down, why does the water then fall out?
Since you are such a QP jedi master god king emperor, certainly this question is not above your pay grade?

Zebras didn't/don't "know" to evolve stripes. Evolution isn't an intentional, willful act on the animal's part.

Every once in a while, an animal is born a trait that makes a little different from the rest.

If that trait gives the animal an advantage over the rest, then the animal's chances of living long enough to mate and pass on that trait are increased.

If the trait is disadvantageous, the animal is more likely to die before mating and passing on that trait.

Give the process time to repeat and we wind up with animals that are well suited to their environment... like Zebras are to the African bush.

Are you insane?
So those of every other faith in this country don't count because their religious beliefs are not those of Christianity???
But of course, it's neither here nor there since this country is of NO religion.
It's pathetic that you can't grasp that being of a certain religion does NOT translate into the USA being of ANY religion.
You are a really sorry excuse for an American since you have NO respect for why this country was founded and that was to escape religiNUTS such as YOU are.
UGH.
There are millions of people living in America just like RR with no respect for the separation of church and state that our Founding Fathers established for us. They existed and lost at the founding of America and they continue to lose to this day. They absolutely hate the fact that the Government is not supposed to play favorites and protect everyone's right to live their peaceful lives as they wish and with other consenting adults.

They do not want people eating shrimp and pork, working on Sunday, anyone drinking alcohol, women voting, slavery abolished and gays having sex with one another.

I make a really tasty steamed dumpling stuffed with ground pork and shrimp. Every time I eat it I think about how criminal the Christians are for wanting to force all of us to live under their rules.

And we do live under their rules when they organize to pass laws, Christian laws, against the peaceful behaviour of other consenting adults. This is an illegal establishment of Christ-insanity. I for one want all "Christian" laws removed from American law books, and I want the church to pay property and income taxes like everyone else. Maybe we should even have an idiot tax and really gouge them good.

You ask questions of others when you could so easily find the answers yourself.

Birds lost their teeth because they lost the bone structure needed for chewing.

Bones are heavy, and birds have sacrificed a lot of bone strength in order to be able to fly well.

The lighter the bird, the better and easier the flight.

You probably don't know that the bones of birds are hollow, do you?

Well now you do know. And that is for the same reason that birds don't have teeth.

The lighter the bird, the better and easier the flight.

Bet you also didn't know that the expression used for people who don't eat much: "They eat like a bird" is actually not the way to describe those who don't eat a lot since birds eat an incredible lot in relation to their body weight- another reason for not having the added weight of teeth (and beaks way much less than teeth do) or bones that aren't hollow.

And while it may look like struggling to you when a bird eats, it's not struggling to them.

We went on holiday during December close to the Kruger Park. We had zebras, Kudu, Rooibok and warthog come to our back door to graze.

Wow, that's crazy! I've read these theories a lot, but have never experienced it, so it's hard to believe :)

OMG. You might as well be asking if humans evolved from apes why are there still apes?

Of course, humans did not evolve from apes, but the point is that just because some fish left the ocean and adaptations came into play which allowed them to live on land, that doesn't mean that ALL fish simply disappear.

Next- not sure what whales have to do with this, since whales are mammals and not fish.
