Think I'll obtain the first and go with that.
Thanks.
I highly recommend it. Then work your way through the "Known Space" milieu.

The crucial question is: Where do the words of the nobleman end. At what verse does he stop speaking. It is extremely important whether or not the last thing he says is verse 24, 26, or 27 because if Jesus is speaking for himself in verse 27 then he is one of the most intolerant and ruthless figures to have ever emerged from the pages of literature. On the other hand, if these two verses are merely a summation of the situation by the nobleman, the Christian dilemma is lessened dramatically.
Is Jesus saying verse 27 or is he merely relating the words of a nobleman in a parable? That's the issue.
Do you always have this much trouble following a story line? Verse 27 is clearly the last sentence of Jesus' story. You have terrible reading comprehension skills.

Religion produces relatively complex metaphors about existence that believers then use to communicate their ideas and understandings between them. I think the contradictions are necessary so that they can be used to elicit wildly different meanings for different people. Thus, a person may use metaphorical passages to discuss their personal views, can relate these ideas to another believer in such a way that the believer can understand, all without requiring a specific grasp of English (or whatever language) and education.

We understand that it isn't.
He wants it to be a bad thing.
We want it to be what it is.
He needs something to whine about.
We're trying to take it away from him.
That's how he sees it.
That's how we see it.

Are those all words you learned in Sunday School?
I didn't attend Sunday school, troll. The most bible I've seen was here, posted and misquoted by you. Any poster can Google the bible and see whether someone quoted it accurately, or not.

Yeah. Christianity is a ritualistic cannibalistic religion. That's what the Catholics and Anglicans, Lutherans, whoever, do when they partake in the Eucharist.
We've all heard Muslims take a a lot of crap from Christians over the whole "72 virgins" thing.

Whether it's a misconception or an outright lie about something the Quran says, I dunno.

But...

You'd think Christians would ease off a little... considering what you just mentioned.

Do they not see how eating flesh and drinking blood, albeit symbolically, can sound just a "wee bit" distasteful to Muslims?

Just yappin'.

You should have written "you're". It's a whole different word.
And I don't need to prove the non-existence of any deity - I comfortably await proof of your assertion that there is at least one.
In the meantime, I see no reason for one.
It's one of the top ten typos that people make.

I've seen everybody on here make it and you never correct your butt buddies when they do it. I've seen geniuses make simple typos, you pathetic troll. If punctuation and spelling correction is all you've got to bring then you ain't got nothin'.

The ones I have were purchased with a box full of paperbacks at a yardsale a good while back... 70-80 or so books...*mostly* fantasy; Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms titles.

I just looked through the collection and found all three books from the 'Mars Trilogy'(by Kim Stanley Robinson). They don't look to have ever been read.

Will definatley get the rest of Niven's books... but, for now, since I already have them all... whadaya think about Robinson.

Ya read the 'Mars Trilogy'?

I along with many here have answered your questions, then you move on to the next McKinsey point. Why can't you continue on just one question that has been explained to you? and admit you were confused. Slow down on McKinsey's book, we know it's your bible.

OOPS!
If you must accept Jesus as your Savior in order to be saved (John
14:6), what about the billions of beings that die as fetuses, infants,
and mentally deficient, etc.? For them to accept Jesus would be
impossible. So they are condemned to hell because of conditions over
which they had no control. Deut. 32:4 says God is just, but where is
the justice?
John 5:26 through 29 says Jesus will judge the dead according to their behavior. The good would be rewarded with life and the vile rewarded with damnation. That implies that those innocent who were ripped from their mothers' womb would not be punished for having been killed before they even had a chance to be bad. I think it's obvious that the innocent would not be punished. Biblical law allows for "ignorance *of* the law". The same goes for others with limited cognitive ability.
