Some creeping insects have four legs.(Lev. 11:22-23);
Hares chew the cud (Lev. 11:6);
Conies chew the cud (Lev. 11:5);
Camels don't divide the hoof (Lev. 11:4);
The earth was formed out of and by means of water (2 Peter 3:5 RSV);
The earth rest on pillars (1 Sam. 2:8);
The earth won't be moved (1Chron. 16:30);
A hare does not divide the hoof (Deut. 14:7);
The rainbow is not as old as rain and sunshine (Gen. 9:13);
A mustard seed is the smallest of all seeds and grows into the greatest of all shrubs (Matt. 13:31-32 RSV);
Turtles have voices (Song of Sol. 2:12);
The earth has ends or edges (Job 37:3);
The earth has four corners (Isa. 11:12, Rev. 7:1);
Some 4-legged animals fly (Lev. 11:21);
The world's language didn't evolve but appeared suddenly (Gen. 11:6-9; and
A fetus can understand speech (Luke 1:44).
Polymelia was probably common back then too.

Welcome to our sandbox.
Some are nice, some are rude. Some are stupid, some have brains. You will learn who has what between the ears.
As for the title of the thread. Double Fine is a self-procaimed deity. Double Fine has saved the world from asteroids, the deadly NTC-12 Virus and an attack of Zombie Vampires.
Double Fine has created, on his own, every animal alive, as well as those in the fossil record.
Thus, should anyone ask you to prove god, just say that he is on the thread here, the deity known as Double Fine. You shall then be promoted to the rank of disciple in the Double Fine Church of Lesbians.
In any event. Welcome to the thread :)
Only fools would doubt the truth of your claim.

The lack of zombie vampires in our world proves you are what you say you are.

You have a computer, yes? Congratulations. You are in the in the top 2% financially.
You have no idea what poor is. There are people here in SA that deserves less than your mininum hourly wage IN A DAY. And still, they are bette off thn jobless.
You need to do some research on the state of affairs. Take a road trip through Africa. Yes, enjoy the scenery... But see the poverty, as well
LMAO!

No, I don't have a computer. My kids have a 10 year old computer that my parents gave them, no internet though.

You don't know me, dude. Do NOT tell me I don't know what poor is. In my life, I've lived in a damn school bus, shit in a hole in the ground, gone without running water for months at a time, had only rice to eat for a week straight, shared on little 9X9 room with my three brothers, shared laundry, forced to take ketchup from McDonald's so we'd have some at home, etc.

I've been there - I KNOW what it's like.

My parents have been to Tanzania, three times. I've seen hundreds of personal photos and several videos of their trips. I've seen the way those folks live.

Please don't presume anything.

Uh-huh.... ANd what scientific parents do? Teach children that nothing magically became something one time, then there was fish, then dinosaurs and now here we are. All from a magical, poofing big bang.

The statement was along the lines of “you can see light”, this is a medical and scientific impossibility, which I have shown by providing links.
I am not reducing anything, vision is a neural process, without the proper operation of these neurones you would be blind or visually impaired.
You can see (interpret as is described) the effects of light but light itself cannot be seen, that’s the way it is. It’s not my problem that people see brain activity as seeing light or people say that the effects of light are the light itself
Imagine for a moment you are looking into an enclosure of sterile environment (preferably complete vacuum as far as can exist in this universe) but at the very least, no dust. From the side a beam of light shone across the enclosure. Do you see the beam of light as is passes before you or do you see physical object that the light is illuminating?
Instead of admitting your wrong you go all out to try and prove the term "visible" is a meaningless word. Beside you moving the goalposts from seeing light , to seeing a photon. Which we can do also, it is possible to detect a single photon but the brain wont register it, the answer is it takes 9+ within 100 ms for the brain to process it as light. But as to whether we see light or not.......

I challenge to go to the gd light switch and flip it back and forth from off to on. Then ask observers if they "saw" the gd light. Give it up Christine you are just plain wrong.
We see with the unaided eye the electromagnetic energy in what we call the "visible" or white light wavelengths, but with help we "see" from ELF to Gamma frequencies. But more than just seeing white light , it allows us to see other things also by it's illumination. Next Christmas we will see all those little white lights on the trees outside , you can bet money on it.

So far none of our "simple minded" have offered a shred of proof. They are so confused, deeply held beliefs are not proof no matter how much and how often they claim they are.
It's the "lack of proof" upon which they rely.

Science > Relies on evidences and proofs.
Religion > Relies on lack of evidences and proofs.

You are invoking a logical fallacy when you compare the two.
Let me tell you why. Nobody believed in the existence of DNA beforehand. Nobody trusted it to be there. Observations where made - testable, verifiable and (most importantly) repeatable observations. Experiments were done and conclusions drawn.
You can do exactly the same experiments, given the right equipment. If you do it right, you will see exactly what the scientists saw.
For a deity, no testable and verifiable evidence has EVER surfaced. Repeatable? Not in a million years. It is a false comparison, a red herring
So we haven't invented a machine that can test God, or at least test if He can exist.

So knuckleheads like the Rev say ignorant things like "no proof = no god".

If that is true, then so is "no proof of DNA = no DNA".

Believing it to exist is irrelevant.

Also see the analysis, you will find that Hitler was more or less centre but with a strong authoritarian tendency
The candidates in the last US elections were all just about the same.
The good traditional good guys,, The Dalai Klama, Nelson Mandella, Ganndi etc were all left wing liberal
I've taken this test a while ago. Like last year. I think it was you back then who made me look into it. It's a very interesting site. When I did it, I fell dead centre on the economic scale, and slightly below zero on the social scale.

I don't think you're radicalized, I don't even think you're violent. And I agree with you on the wrongs of the USA, and the products of people they have created through the ignorant actions of their elite power holders, and the greed of some of their politicians. If someone invaded my homeland, stole people out of their homes in the night for terrible interrogations, I'd sign up to kill them. And never stop until they were gone.
But your strange rants about atheists are out of character and I'm a bit worried about you, personally. You've never come across as this irrational before and I'm not quite sure what you're hoping to accomplish with such bizarre proclamations.
It's like you've decided that the posts of certain atheists are now generalizable to all atheists; that one person who wronged you must be representative of all people who share some characteristic with that person.
That's not clear thinking, and it's worrisome. Those kinds of declarations, little by little, if you allow and embrace them, turn you into the caricature of your (worthless) accusers.
Might I suggest taking a moment to assess who exactly it is you are answering in these posts, and why?
Points noted, and thanks for the heads up about myself. I was just quite shocked recently at the posts of some atheists here. Well there's always Myth Buster, who is forever in mental masturbation on banning religion internationally. That is nothing new. But then I found two others who support a one world government. There's aerobatty, who seems to think a one world government is the only solution to prevent human extinction. And then most surprising was that booots, a usually rational nice old man, who also believes in a one world government to clean up other countries ills, against their own sovereignity.

That is typical communist mentality. From their perspective, God doesn't exist of course. But their yearning for some kind of absolute power to control this world was a big revelation to me.

Maybe I am reading too much into it. Well, I hope I am. Others like DF don't care for absolute power. But for someone like booots to have that tendency was a big surprise.

Well, I do not think it is that big of a stretch. If I have to placr a bet, I would say another intelligent race would at least resemble our most basic traits.
Granted, we have only one intelligent race to base this assertion on, but we do now know our evolutionary path, so I do believe that some educated guesses can be made.
Vertibrates: Thus far, invertibrates or ecsoskeletal animals have been tremendously successful, but score very low on intelligence. Also, they seem not to attain great size. We will assume the same on planet Alien.
Land living: The fossil record indicates that organisms on land tend to evolve faster than their aquatic relatives. This is due to the fact that temperature and conditions change a lot faster on land than in the sea. Case in point, sharks. We will assume the same is true in the alien world.
Mammalian: It is also a good guess thatwe would classify them as mammals. To become intelligent, they simply have to have a culture. Mammals were the first animals who put such effort in to care for their young, teaching hunting techniques, mating rituals etc. The alien race would have the same traits, meaning they nuture their young, too.
Bipedal: Our big advancement were our ancestors were able to gain two front limbs used for manipulation by walking upright. These limbs are essential to evolve to the point we have. They have to have a paw with thumbs, a tentacle or a beak of some sort in order to manipulate the world around them and construct tools.
Vocal: They would need vocal chords and some form of language. To form a culture, one needs language. Period.
Short pregnancies: our cranium size exploded due to the larger brain. This meant that childbirth was becoming a problem, as our bipedal ancestors had to have narrower hips. Evolution solved the problem by making the human cycle only 9 months before the baby is born. You see, other animals give birth, and their young can almost immediately eat, walk or swim. Our infants must be fed, cannot walk, crawl, or even sit. Therefore, we have to give a great deal of care to our young, because of their helplessness.
Softer features: because of the abikity to use tools and weapons, horns, spikes, armor plating, etc need not be evolved, and if they are present, they will disappear within a few generations. Also, processed food is easier to eat, thus their jaws would not be massive, they will have softer jaws. Same with muscles. We dont need huge muscles because we have tools and weapons. We assume the same for them. Lastly, our sexual selection to a great deal is attraction. Symmetry we find attractive. Soft, friendly features. A good smile. Dimples. Methinks this woukd be true for them as well. That sexual selection does not favour the biggest and strongest anymore, perhals the most attractive or successful individuals.
Of course, this is utter speculation. But imethinks it is a lot closer to the truth than Star Trek.
Any opinions?
Yes you are as enchanted as Hollywood, there is little chance any life form encountered not from Earth or not made by Earthlings would resemble any life from Earth.
You are thinking in relative terms, and that life would be in identical conditions. But it is to a high degree more likely that alien life would be completely different and composed of different elements, or even a different state of matter.
