Now that is what we call "magic". Why? Because it fits the definition. You seem to think that this is some undiscovered natural law.
Anyways, so you believe those *supernatural* things happen, all because of a sick horse getting better? I am glad your horse did not die, but damn. It's a stretch
God saves RR horse and lets thousands of little kids die, even the ones being prayed over by loads of true believers! What a load of crud!

Double Fine has not done that in quite a while.

Also, they weren't fake numbers. They were just not Double Fine's number

Dang.
Even my 90 year old mother finally got a cell phone in case her power went out.
One was provided to me.

I was asked what kind I'd like and said, "The kind I don't have to carry." (IOW: none).

They insisted.

"Okay... get the least expensive one you can find."

A TracFone from Walmart would've sufficed. Instead... a few days later a BlackBerry was handed to me.

The box was never opened. It stayed in a drawer for over a year.

They finally gave it to someone else.

I tried to tell em.

Lets see if you can understand this.
"so that" is the key in that verse and the key in prayer.
"so that the Father may be glorified..."
Pay attention.
Child: Dad, I want a dollar.
Dad: Sweep the floor and I'll give you a dollar.
Child: But why dad?
Dad: SO THAT you learn the value of a dollar.
Jesus is telling you that in order for your prayer to be answered, it must glorify God.
Understand?
Proving to the world God existsand is the true god is not glorifying god? Ending cancer and HIV is not glorifying god? Ending poverty and famine does not glorify god? Seeing an end to the exploitation of women and children does not glorify god?

... But a horse that beats an illness does?

<quoted text> There you are again agreeing with yourself over your fantasies into my sexuality, especially into my manhood, from which you have not experienced every inch buried into you. But like a missile you wouldn't want to feel the pain I would force you to endure , at least until you expired. Have not wish for things you do not want to know about.
And fantasize about things you do, because you don't want me to fuck you. If I did there would remain only your rotting corpse, and you would wander hell eyeless ,limbless, deaf and dumb and the cry of those that thought they loved you. There are no packs between Lions and men. So you say being the man with a tiny everything, to Achilles and you knowing your death is certain.
Fer Chrissake.

He disagreed with you over the Zimmerman trial. He did not shoot your dog. He didn't sleep with your wife. He did not criticize hoir children. He didn't take your food, he didn't burn the US Flag, screaming 'Allah Akbar', he didn't throw a stone through your window.

Kom on Aura. You are usually a good and insightful poster. But you have got to let some of these stupid things go.

Rape; as you know is a power crime committed by the woefully inadequate.
You aren't demonstrating anything new here, we know you're inadequate. It's just that you've suddenly decided to plumb the depths of your sickness which is new. Interesting though, from a criminalistic point of view.

Why?
What makes the NIV "the most honest" version?

They were all "the most honest" versions.

The next version will be "the most honest" as well.(May Woden forbid another!)

We, you and I, have had similar exchanges pertaining to yesterday's science compared to today's science... exchanges where you all but admonished me for promoting that "Today, we know everything"... when I never said anything of the sort in the first place.(Does the name "Aristarchus" ring a bell?)

In the time since, thanks to Mac's suggested reading material, you seem to have developed a respect for a man named Democritus... from what you've told me, due to notions he had about the nature of matter thousands of years before atoms were discovered/confirmed.

He was correct, or at least headed in the right direction... in so much as he didn't actually present the world with the atom as it's understood today... instead, using a word contemporary to his day with a meaning suitable to the idea he was putting forth and from which the our word "atom" is derived.

With that being said...

Any ideas where the man stood on the subject of "the gods"?

BTW...

I'm not *trying* to say that you're saying that you know everything about something... specifically, which Bible version can be trusted and which can't... but, then again... you kind of *are* doing just that.

...and...

You seem to appreciate arguments from authority... past and present... thus, the imposition of that last question.

Believe it or not I used to think the same way, but once you make the transition. There's no going back to the old primitive system.
Of course there will always be a limited need for land lines, but eventually that too will be replaced by wireless technology.
Think about how the pay phone has disappeared, that is a sign.

Ha!

Hippos.

If you'd be so kind...

Go catch one and put it in a BIG BOX - with a few holes in it so the critter can breathe - and mail it to "Xcentrik In Vidor".

You might not have any idea why, who, or what I'm talking about... and that's okay.

But...

Trust me...

You'll make Xcentrik's day... BIG TIME!

He's be praying to that other god for a hippo for years now!

Shh DF, I'm allowed to argue with the people of my choosing.
Entertainment is a lackluster affair when when everybody is
"me so happy". But it's more than a few ideas that are irreconcilably different, So I will ask for a divorce and he can keep the UK portion of topix and as an American I will take the rest of the world. He can stand over there with Nuggin, in the

The term "land line" applies to a great deal more than simple duplexed voice communications.

The modern backbone isn't going by way of the dinosaur anytime in the near future.
