Until then the god was never there , except in your imagination.
I don't imagine things like you.
are you sure? You think life came from non life , right? You also imagine there is no heaven?

Yet you are the one claiming that you can see light contrary to all the scientific evidence.

And your are the one claiming that light existed before dark contrary to all the scientific evidence.

And you are the one claiming that the universe is ordered contrary to all the scientific papers to prove you wrong.

All that happens is you ignore the science and continue with the same old hateful christian circular BS.

And of course you are the one that keeps sloping off to lick her wounds when the facts get to heavy for your childish mind and then returning with replenished bile only to slope off again next time the facts get to heavy for your childish mind.

With Hitchens you're making the mistake that I get accused of so often - that a university degree makes for expertise (he had a degree, just not in theology). The reality is that the best thinkers in religion debated him (and lost). He quite clearly was an expert in Christianity (and Islam). No one would have debated with him if he wasn't producing very good argument and writing on the subjects.
With Dawkins, I agree with you. I found his book simplistic and preaching to the choir. However, I haven't seen it successfully refuted yet (although, to be honest, one person has pointed to me to inaccuracies in it - or misquotes, I can't recall).
I was in Oxford when Dawkins' book came out. With serendipity, I found a table full of PhD theologian students - what better, I though! So I engaged them - please tell me how Dawkins is wrong, i asked.
Sorry, RR, not a single one of them could produce an argument that I could not refute in seconds. I was left thinking that the entire field of theology must be parasitic and worthless. If you can find me a good theological discussion, by all means, share it.
You would ignorantly refute it just like Dawkins & Hitchens. You say they won debates? I guess that's a matter of prospective. In my view, they made themselves look like fools.

I mean, look what happens to this poor girl.

<quoted text>There is no such thing as an effective deterrent. Again.
Once people are in jail, it is to the detriment of society as a whole if we "lock them up and throw away the key." People do better when they have something to do - both on the "inside" and once they get out. Basic comforts - TV, "tasty" food (don't know where you got that idea), and AC go a long way towards keeping people content and therefore peaceful.
Would you rather have a bored, hungry, uncomfortably hot prisoner or one that is more or less content? Which one do you think would be more agreeable and less prone to violence/disobedience? Obviously, these basic comforts should be supplemented with mandatory self improvement, which will lead to some prisoners doing well on the outside.
Again - no one is "allowing" porn and drugs in prison. It's just impossible to keep them out. This demonstrates the futility of the drug war better than anything else in my mind - if we can't keep drugs out of prison, how in the world are we going to remove them from society? Some prisons do allow conjugal visits, but only to prisoners who have behaved exceptionally well, and I see nothing wrong with that. Sex is a great stress reliever, and low stress prisoners are a good thing.
I would RATHER our prisons be uncomfortable as humanely possible. Prisons can't be cozy (not to you or I, but the mind of the criminal thinks differently).

It is NOT impossible the keep porn & drugs out of prison, what are you talking about?

She thinks science has disproven God.
Why are you misrepresenting what I say?

Is it because you are a liar?

Of course we know you are a liar but really. in the name of your god it’s pathetic… there is no need to be so fooking ignorantly obvious about it.

I say that E=MC^2 proves that no god as depicted in kjv revelation 19:6 can exist in this universe at the same time as you

That’s your “omnipotent” god in this universe, is says nothing about deities who are not claimed as omnipotent.

Saying "we allow them to have drugs" is the same as saying that the police allow the general population to have drugs.
Bullshit.

The general population is not under police control, the prison population is.

Have you ever entered a prison?

The Old Testament is full of stories of men arguing with God, often to get a better deal. He seems to have a penchant for it.

Nowadays you have Topix atheists seizing upon crossed T's and dotted I's and grammar as the basis for their desire to argue. They don't have to be right, they just like to argue.

Of course they believe this is constructive in the end as they are making things more perfect for mankind.

Could be they just have hormonal issues or hemorrhoids.

"Based on what modern science tells us about the size and rate of expansion of the universe, it must have taken god a long time to 'stretch the stars,' therefore genesis must be metaphorical."
Really?
Yes.

Are you not freethinking? Are you not being rationally objective?

The question is, "Is Genesis metaphorical or literal"?

That question is answered.

What's the problem?

Double Fine has beaten God at a great many arguments.

First, he wanted Double Fine to go to church twice on a Sunday and give money.

Double Fine bargained him down, to once per Sunday, while giving money.

Then, Double Fine bargained hin down to church every other Sunday. Then again, to no church at all.

Double Fine is truly loved and adored by this god.

The chicken or the egg is the basic thingy of these arguments about an intelligent design or magic poofing into existence.

The basic observable fact is eggs come from chickens that produced eggs. All life starts from a seed or egg.

Interesting how you have physical seeds and mental seeds. Seeds of an idea can even produce physical thingies, at least a radical modification of existing physical stuff.

Topix atheist seeds and eggs never bear fruit or life. There is something lacking in the construction.
