Lol.. The best part is how these people then want us to 'scrutinise' their claim. As if we need to weigh it up against scientific evidence. It is quite laughable.
Those books of Moses, no one even knows who wrote it, yet they expect everyone to believe it. Moses didn't write the books of Moses as many Christians believe. Towards the end, it talks about how Moses lived and how he died and no one knows where he is buried. Now how could Moses have written that?

It's as if he said:
"I lived till so many years old, and then I died and no one knows where I'm buried".

What kind of autobiography is that?

Yer an idiot.
Are you really so stupid are is it just an act to show everyone you are a true and deliberately ignorant christian

E=MC^2 is not news

People killing one another in Egypt is news

Planes crashing in the US and trains crashing in Canada is news

Even some brit batting a ball up and down a tennis court is news

E=MC^2 is not news, it is fact.

It is a fact that defines this universe and everything (EVERYTHING) in it

It is a fact that allows tossers like you to play with the internet.

It is a fact that the committee who wrote revelation 1700 years ago were not aware of.

So it must be that you are too stupid to comprehend the implications of the word omnipotent and definitely too stupid to understand a fact and completely oblivious of what E=MC^2 actually means.

Would you describe men that way. Why do you always bring sex into the equation when talking about women, but never when you discuss men.

If jesus was alone and fasting in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights...

How come the Gospels of Matthew(65CE), Mark(70CE) and Luke(60CE-100CE) has the whole exchange between jesus and satan?

Was he alone(except for other people) in which case he wasn't alone was he?

How did these 'three'*bullshit cough* evangelists know about satan tempting jesus? How did he know that satan offered jesus the entire "four corners" of the earth?

Begging the question...If god is so powerful how come satan can make that kind of offer?

There are artificial light sources available for the entire spectrum of light

Okay, let is assume two things:

1) You do not have the benefit of the fridge light

2) You have no moonlight to help you. It is pitch black.

Then the cheese and spread can be light as lilly, but you still will not see it

All light is invisible

What you see is the interaction between light and the object

Ya right. Ever been to jail, timn? I have, one time for four days. I saw firsthand how well the inmates are treated, the food wasn't the "prison slop" you see on TV, we watched free cable TV on a huge TV, we played board games, dudes sept for 12 hours a day, they were smoking weed and jerkin off to porn mags (I really have NO idea how they got that shot smuggled in there).
It was sort of like a weekend retreat, except you can't leave. I saw how the criminal mind is perfectly ok living in places like that and why there's so many repeat offenders out there.
In construction I worked with three hardcore convicts, one of them just got out after serving 8 years. They were scumbags. They had a great job, a place to live, a way to get out of their old, criminal life but ALL THREE chose not to. After just a few months, they all went back to their old, criminal ways and got sent back to prison. One of them stole a car, one damn near raped a girl and thankfully got caught and the third went back to using and selling speed.
It seems that most of them are hopeless wrecks that do NOT fear imprisonment. Because the "prison life is easier than real life", one of them told me.
We live in a society where prison life truly is easier than "real life" for some people. In prison you get a place to stay, food and health care. Some people don't have that stuff, and that creates desperation. Anyways, your opinion of the "criminal mind" and what not is totally irrelevant - the fact is, deterrents DO NOT WORK. How many times do I need to drill this into your head? No matter how badly we treat our (mostly nonviolent) offenders, people will still commit crime.

That's EXACTLY my point! They don't care about going to jail, most repeat criminals don't.
Why?
Because today's prison system is NOT a harsh punishment.
One guy I worked with, a former inmate and repeat offender, once told me "prison ain't so bad. You can get everything in there that you can out here, except p_ssy."
O_o
He even said that the drugs in prison are better than the drugs on the street.
WTF?
WHY are we allowing them access to drugs?!? They are in prison and CAN be easily controlled but smooth-talking, tongue-wielding liberals like you WANT inmates, criminals, to feel "comfortable" because "they have rights, too".
It is PEOPLE LIKE YOU that create repeat offenders.
No, RR. Some countries have the death penalty for drugs. And people still do drugs there. Your "harsh punishment = less crime theory" is total and complete nonsense, and you won't acknowledge it because you have a primal need to see criminals treated badly. Granted, there are criminals even I would like to torture, but that's the society I want to live in, where we allow our base emotions to guide the justice system.

Also, we don't "allow them access to drugs," you nitwit, they have drugs because the drug war is a miserable failure. If people want to get high, they will find a way. If we can't even keep drugs out of prison, what makes you think it's possible to eradicate them from society and destroy countless lives in the process?

Yes, I was joking on the noose thing. I don't believe that folks should be executed because of an addiction, but I DO believe folks should be harshly punished for breaking the law.
Even if harsh punishments do nothing to deter crime or prevent recidivism? Even if harsh punishments do nothing to treat addictions? Even if treating people and offering help is cheaper than harsh punishment? Etc. The only justification you have is an emotional one, and I don't think we should punish people based on a primal need for vengeance.
