<quoted text>Paranoid much? We want to keep "our" guns but take yours away? Where do you get that idea?
Also, let's be serious - the whole far right fantasy about "rising up" against a tyrannical government bolstered by the power of personal firearms is nothing but a pipe dream. What would we do with shotguns and rifles against the most powerful military on earth?
The U.N. considers themselves a liberal organization yet they want to be armed with the latest, best weaponry for *peace keeping*. THAT is hypocritical. THEY want to choose (for the entire planet) who gets guns and who has 1.3 children and what shots those 1.3 are immunized with, and yet, all of their programs are funded by the citizens of the U.S. taxpayers [of course], so fk you lamewad. This BS is promoted by people who have the nerve to call themselves liberals but who spend an inordinate amount of their time trying to control other peoples' lives. It kinda goes against the true definition of the word "liberal", dontcha think?

That was a rhetorical question, coz I know you will argue against any comment I make no matter what. It's what you do, argue, whether you make sense or not.

So you are saying rubber bullets and bean bag guns don't exist?
Guns were designed to inflict harm and initially the design was to kill. That doesn't mean all guns are designed with a singular purpose. There are guns designed for other reasons, and nothing you type can negate or invalidate this fact. Skeet trap and sporting clays supports the guns specifically designed for this competition, which is also an Olympic Sport.
There is also International and American pistol shooter associations with competitions and designers who build guns specifically for them as well as Bowling pin shooting and guns designed to kill bowling pins.
Rubber bullets could kill if they hit just the right/wrong spot. I'd hate to take one in the eye.

<quoted text> What is particularly distressing to me is that the police are trained to shoot to kill, and the ammo they use is very good at it. In fact so good it is illegal by Geneva convention standards as being inhumane and immoral because it is so devastating. So the US government uses ammo on it's own people, that it can't use fighting our enemies. That's sorta saying something , I know what to call it but can anyone else agree what to call it?
Hypocrisy.

That style target would be preferred in training to kill other humans. But all targets are not other humans, can you agree to that?
Yep, I've used bottles and cans or a simple bull's eye target pinned on a bale of hay in front of a hill.

Oh there is a difference, a fundamental one Dave.
A seeing and believing difference.
The spiritual path is believing without seeing it.
The academic path is seeing it to believe it.
Spiritual requires nothing physical to believe it.
Academics requires the physical to believe it.
But you are also saying knowledge is useless, I don't think this is so. But I agree topix is a perfect example of an exercise in futility.
Ah...

If a Topix atheist believes they are intelligent, full of life, and useful additions to the life experience of everyone, yet do not display it, is that a spiritual path?

Rabbits at a hundred yards with a 6mm 65 grain bullet are better than bottles or cans. They make these interesting red mists along with patches of fur flying. An explosion of color.

Rabbits were made for killing and eating, by man or vulture.

I have never shot at an animal and hope not to have to except in an extreme situation like the supermarkets being empty. Until that scenario happens I would only, ever, fire in self-defense of myself or someone else who is unable to defend themselves.

When I was younger, the farmers would get a bunch of us to pluck prairie dogs. It was a blast! The cows would step in the holes and possibly break their legs, and the farmers didn't want to use poison. It was a public service. LOL

It's funny, that you go around telling people they are delusional.

When "you" yourself claim to "know" what other people have or dont have, or what they have experienced in their life.

pfff.

There are very settled sections of Santa Fe with prairie dogs very established right off the road. The tree huggers demand they be left alone and protected. They are also about the number one carrier of bubonic plague in NM.
