Depends on what they believe and what they practice. To say you are Christian and not follow the teaching of Christ is hypocrisy....Happens all the time actually. Many professed Christians have no idea who they even claim to believe in. They just believe in God because their parents did or that's what they were taught. Many have no clue what Christ even taught. So is the guy in the next pew? It's probably debatable. If he can't be loving and kind, forgiving and humble, chances are...he's either confused or hypocritical.

ah...I used to frequent this site often. I know their games...I just like the debate. I usually meet new people and learn some interesting things on here too! Some of the posters are really nice and can be fun to just cut up with. Nothing wrong with a little banter every now and again!

burden of proof fallacy

The burden of proof lies with someone who is making a claim, and is not upon anyone else to disprove.
The inability, or disinclination, to disprove a claim does not render that claim valid, nor give it any credence whatsoever.
However it is important to note that we can never be certain of anything, and so we must assign value to any claim based on the available evidence, and to dismiss something on the basis that it hasn't been proven beyond all doubt is also fallacious reasoning.

Example: Bertrand declares that a teapot is, at this very moment, in orbit around the Sun between the Earth and Mars, and that because no one can prove him wrong, his claim is therefore a valid one.

I can find evidence both for and against evolution. But the one thing that is for sure, the theory of Evolution violates two laws of science. The Second Law of Thermodynamics (law of increasing entropy) and the Law of Biogenesis. And, on chromosome 2, unless you object to reading scientific data on a Christian site, here's some good scientific research that shows there is NOT clear evidence of the fusion. http://creation.com/chromosome-2-fusion-2
The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics refers to a closed system.

You are either horrible uneducated or a liar, or both.

Quote the "Law of Biogenesis" to which you refer.

For the question of veracity RE: chrom 2 fusion, supply a link to a scientific site which agrees with you.

What you have is christian apologetic, weak pleading at best.

Well, obviously if billions don't agree, there is some degree of controversy. According to a worldwide census, only 14.09% of the people in the world are non-religious and 12.48% are classified as "other". I'll give or take a few of the religious and say some believe God or a god used evolution as a means of creation, but for the most part...regardless of what the scientific crowd or atheist choose to believe...when discussing the TOE as it relates to the evolution of man...there is definitely controversy.
If all atheists and agnostics were to leave the U.S., 98 percent of the members of the Academy of Sciences, and two percent of the prison population, would be gone.

Oh please...gimme a break here. The amount of time, effort and money spent on research in the attempt to prove the theory of evolution clearly exhibits the NEED for evolutionists to believe in evolution.
ToE is fully accepted, no research is required for veracity.

Nice. I've never seen that flic.
Thanks for your condolences. She had an unnecessary surgery that the great field of medical science botched, she was unable to recover from it and died 11 days after the surgery. She was only 71. Just one week earlier, she was out riding her horse like she did every Saturday. I miss the ole bag, she was a good friend.
I normally do not dig at old wounds, so if you do not wish to continue with what I am about to point out, I will understand.

However, how do you know that it was the surgery that killed her and not complications unrelated to the surgery? There are a thousand ways in which the body can "just so suddenly die," and surgery doesn't always help, many complications that are attributed to surgery by the patients or other people are also often unrelated.

So do tell, TSI- just HOW did your god go about creating a man from DUST and then creating a woman from a RIB of the first man?
This ought to be good......"

You have put yourself in the same position as a Christian.. PROVE to us there isnt a GOD?

Now since SCIENCE and Atheist has YET to prove the nonexistence of God,(regardless of your stupid claim other wise), because if you can honestly say that you have indeed searched out and deeply examined all proposed evidences of God and found them all lacking.
You would be a certifiable fool, and liar or both.

We both KNOW there are no atheists/or scientist who can even be aware of all the evidences that may exist for God,(besides nature itself) nor even of all proposed evidences since this would require a knowledge of every argument for God that has ever existed as well as all possible other evidences. To truly KNOW there is zero evidence for God’s existence implies that the atheist claiming this knows all possible evidences for God’s existence. Which is ridiculas!!!
Ridiculas?
