Americans are so sheltered, proud, and fearful.
There's a whole other world out there.
And the people are generally curious and generous.

Ya, I saw the Ben Franklin was the author. But like I said, I don't care who the author was. Psychobabble is psychobabble.
Ido know God exists.
Oh, he's not "my God", He's "our God".
Just so you know....
I fully reject your vile philosophy.

the god you imagine is a projection of your psyche, that is why it is so evil.

Then you'll be disappointed to know that Christianity is rising faster than the world's population.
Sorry.
the christian belief is declining where-ever there is education for children, and advancing only where there is a lack of education, usually facilitated by some form of unrest.

(the main reason why the creationists are attacking education in America)

I have looked at this life through the eyes of an Athiest most of my teen years Areo.
Serious question.
Your position implies that you have indeed searched out and deeply examined all proposed evidences of God and found them all lacking. With that said.
Do you ''truly know'' that God doesnt exist?
Or could it be that you have chosen what MAN kind has told you?
are you speaking of a (deity) god, or a "christian god"?

I have not seen any evidence that would suggest the existence of a god.

I have studied the christian faith set, including the OT and NT and the history of the Sumerians and Egyptians. All the evidence confirms that the christian bible is mythology, built upon and based upon, older Mythology. It can be confidently seen that there is no "christian god", there is no "abrahamic god".

<quoted text>See.. detect.. semantics at this point. If he's inside of space then shouldn't we have found some sort of evidence of him by now? Or does he intentionally hide all traces to mess with us?
the christian god acts empirically,

hell, he finds true christians their car keys, and parking spots at WallMart. But he carefully leaves no evidence, for he wishes people to believe upon faith.

He touches his true believers, whispers in their ear, cures their diseases, but he does not wish his children to know of his presence, he desires belief upon faith.

It is all true.

Somewhat witty. I can see what you like him.
But what does it matter how long the witnesses of Jesus Christ have been dead?
According to that paragraph, all he has done is read a book and talk to people, but it seems as though he's never communicated with God or he's never felt to God. His loss.
Or is he just talking about religion?
your belief in (a)(god)

is

religion

Here's a hint: You can eat food that doesn't need to be kept cold. A fridge is not a necessity - except to spoiled little Nanny State hoes like you that think you deserve everything.

You think health insurance is a friggin right, I'll bet you think driving is a right, too.
Do you think health CARE is a privilege?

<quoted text>God hears the prayers of those who keep His commandments and do His will. Our prayers are hindered when there is a lack of a repentant spirit.

You must be sincere and believe that God has the power to do what you ask Him to do.

If you're not sincere with God, He will "ignore" you.

2 Chronicles 7:14;

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
So, apparently no true Christian is praying to end world hunger, disease or birth defects, among other things.

Either that or there are no true Christians.

Or Jesus lied.

Or there is no god.

<quoted text>ME looking to argue?? You two are bickering foolishly about whether or not a fridge is a necessity....

Necessity:
noun
The fact of being required or indispensable.

Required:
adjective
Essential; indispensable

Indispensable:
adjective
Absolutely necessary

WTF?

A refrigerator is NOT a necessity, it's a luxury. A luxury that many people, including myself, enjoy.

Luxury:
noun
An inessential, desirable item
And the people who don't have refrigerators, unless they live in an arctic environment or live their entire lives hunting and gathering, are starving.

Your desperation is showing.

<quoted text>No, I've never had or used an old icebox. My grandpa did, but I'm a little too young fur that technology.

Even so, the old icebox was a luxury, too.
In a world of 7 billion people, easily half of them would die of starvation without refrigeration.

The rest would have to spend their entire lives hunting and gathering each and every day.

And I doubt the planet's existing natural food sources could survive even that for long.
