Man created god in his own image --- angry, vengeful, jealous, proud, etc.

If one dares to consider -- what would any god be jealous of -- it's own creation?

Absurd and delusional.

There is? Like what? Sure, you have your commandments and your anecdotes and your stories, but when it comes down to it, the bible explicitly states that if you believe in jesus you go to heaven. "For god so loved the world..."etc. Yeah, that's real tough. And are you really implying that I don't believe in the christian god because I'm ignorant of christianity? I don't believe in your god precisely because I have studied the bible. It's a very potent force for atheism.

waaasssuuup - casting demons into the abyss when they rear-up their ugly heads;)
Let's get this right, Jesus is God? No, no, no, no. Jesus never ever proclaim himself to be God. Man did that recently. God did not come in the flesh. No, no, no, no, according to scripture. Remember, Jesus always said that the Father is in heaven. When he died on the cross, he spoke words to his father in heaven. In the garden he prayed to the Father in heaven. When he needed guidance, he asked his Father in heaven. So how is Jesus God?! God demanded that there should be any other Gods before Him. Was that Jesus that demanded that or his Father? I'm not knocking folks for this big misconception but it is back and forth and backwards interpretation of scripture that fuels athiesm. To them we all seem cuckoo because we hold on to a notion that is breaking down everyday with misreadings and false indoctrination.

Why should living things want to live? Are you suggesting that every living thing is self aware, recognising the difference between life and non-life and choosing life? Is there some sense of inertia? Reactions occur in cell organelles and the hence the complusion is to keep ensuring that reactions keep occurring in cell organelles? The living somehow recognised its superiority over the non-living, and strove to replicate itself?
There has to be some driver, even if it isn't Allah. If something happens once off, it is a coincidence, an accident. But if it happens consistently, and consistently in the same way, there is something driving it. If it is not God, then it is the self awareness and deliberate choice of the single celled life to choose life over non-life, to function as opposed to not function, to maintain its current state, as opposed to allow itself to die.
The single cell organism has no brain. It has no self awareness. So is it simply reflexive reactions? Is it all mass and energy balances? Is the consciousness of beings, nothing but an intricate system of physical laws? Do cell organelles all function by some kind of symbiosis? If one organelle performs one action, the others respond "appropriately", all based on chemistry and physical laws? A common desire, a common conspiracy to evade and dominate over non-life?
How can something too small to have a brain sacrifice its own life for the greater good (continued survival) of the species?

Well, one could say that the prophesy of Israel becoming greater than ever before was only prideful, wishful thinking....but it is odd/funny since there was never a country before then that was pro-Israel like America has been in modern times. Who could have ever predicted that a country called the U.S would draw a line in the desert and tell the rest of the world to call the land behind it "Israel"? Or that we would arm and fund them forever?`8^o

There is no genetic Jew, nano. It's a religion, not a race.
The closest they'd be to that would be a "ethnoreligion"...
A jew is someone from Israel, you idiot! A genetic Jew is someone who was born from the Jewish Family.

Very strange stuff.
"So, not only do bacteria engage in cell suicide, but they do so on the basis of signals from their fellow bacteria—it all sounds suspiciously like a multicellular organism, as the authors themselves note. The logic behind it also seems very similar to that which explains altruistic behavior in multicellular animals. In a dense, rapidly growing culture, most of the bacteria would be expected to be genetically related. When a source of stress, such as a virus or antibiotic, starts harming cells, the most efficient way to preserve their shared inheritance may be for some of the cells to sacrifice themselves."

From your link. Seems they think that when they're all clumped together they basically function as a multicellular organism, and that since they are most likely related, single suicides help to ensure the overall genetic line continues. Yes, interesting stuff.

How is it not? It's an exaggerated example, but that is exactly the same logic that you use. It only seems (rightly) silly to you because you can see it objectively without the burden of faith. You constantly claim that people would feel god if they just believed, and that he can't be disprove until human knowledge has filled every crevice of the unknown. Which is absurd as, say, feeling zeus in a thunderstorm and telling people that he exists until they have experienced every single thunderstorm ever and found them all to be lacking in zeus.

LOL- it is YOU who is the idiot here.

One need not be from Israel to be a Jew and even GENTILES live in Israel.

And a "genetic" Jew? No such thing- RR was correct on this; Judaism IS a RELIGION and it is NOT a race.

BTW, ANYONE can convert from another religion to that of Judaism; what NO ONE can do is change their RACE.

Want to be saved? Be poor, not rich....

(Yet how many really believe this stuff enough to be poor?)

He shall ... save the souls of the needy.-- Psalm 72:13

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.--Matthew 5:3

Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.... But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.-- Luke 6:20

Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.-- Matthew 19:23-24

Ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.-- James 5:1

B-A-L-O-N-E-Y.

I'll wager that no one here gives away enough to affect their rich and comfy USA lifestyle.

Um. Yes. In order to believe anything you must first believe.

Believe is defined as "accept something as true".

You will never believe in God unless you have faith in God.

Nor would you believe your wife loves you unless you have faith in her.

Nothing to try not to do if you simply don't do it to begin with.

You think that accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is all that needs to be done to be a Christian and to gain access to heaven.

That tells me you did not study the Bible. That tells me you skimmed it, disagreed with it and found other atheists that disagreed with it, too.

Evidence?
