No ex-Christians ever prove or attempt to prove that God doesn't exist, so how could they look ridiculous? Some might point out proven falsehoods in believers minds, which have been confirmed, but that is all we can do. We know the Bible as a whole unit does not stand up to tests of truth because there are proven falsehoods in it.<quoted text>
The anger of atheists is a precursor to the proof that God does exist. They look foolish as they prove that which they say doesn't exist.
That does not disprove God, of course, but it does prove that those who state the Bible is 100% correct because it is 100% God's Word are wrong.
What usually happens, as has been so blatant on Topix as long as I have been here is that believers shoot themselves in the foot constantly by insisting that known facts about the errors in the Bible are not 'known facts'.
It seems that they take the position that they don't care about facts, because if God said it, then it has to be true. Their problem is thinking that God said what is in the Bible rather than the Bible is a man-made compilation of many writings, taken from many sources, some possibly known, and many (sources) not known, and in producing what we today call the Bible, man made very human decisions about what to include and not include, and I suspect that would have been, like any other human agreed upon decisions, based on who wielded the most influence in the group who made those decisions.
