You pick.
The second choice would be totally incorrect and I don't recall Honeysuckler asking YOU the question you nosy buttinsky.

That YOU think I am a b*tch means NOTHING because your perception of women is so disgustingly distorted and so negative you have proven countless times over your ignorance regarding women and what truly defines a b*tch.

But I know what defines a MANb*tch- I'm responding to it.

Then get some help from a behavioral specialist.

Or else learn how to effectively communicate with your kids with WORDS.

Or else punish them by taking away ALL privileges in exchange for a LOT more chores.

What are you gonna do, RR? SPANK a SIXTEEN year old???

Look- what you know about good parenting is obviously NOTHING if for no other reason than that you ARE abusing your children by keeping a LOADED gun in their room.

I know you won't see that for the abuse it is, but that IS abuse. Children and weapons- and loaded guns no less- do NOT mix and SHOULD not mix.

Hmmm.... That'd be a good screen name. I almost went with I.P. Freely, but RR worked better...

I've done that ALSO.

There are many good parental discipline techniques. Spanking is one of them.

Nope. If you recall, I haven't spanked my kids in about ten years.

And you wouldn't think that chili & watermelon mix, either. But a Mexican friend of mine introduced it to me and its delicious.

Gee- those guns aren't doing much good here, RR.

I mean- 668 times more murders with firearms here in the USA than in the United Kingdom.

So while a woman may have a greater chance of being raped in the UK, the entire population of the USA is 668% more likely to be murdered with a gun than is the entire population of the UK.

But that's okay- the USA is #1 in murders- bet that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, huh?

Oh- and BTW- the suicide rate for ages 15-24 in the USA versus the UK: 104% more in the USA than in the UK.

That right there should be enough to tell you that keeping LOADED guns in the room of children between the ages of 15-24 is really BAD parenting.

I KNOW you will say that you KNOW for a FACT that your children are not at all suicidal, never were, never would be and would never even think about it- no doubt the self same sentiments have been expressed by parents whose children DID kill themselves; in other words, you can't be 100% sure and one never knows.

Then again, you say a LOT of stuff is fact which is not, so no reason for this instance to be any different.

Regardless and for many reasons, you are an UNFIT parent to keep a LOADED gun in your TEENAGE son's bedroom.

You said:

"Except when they're in trouble and talking or time outs just don't cut it..."

So okay- you haven't HIT your kids in about 10 years- so what did you or do you do when your teenagers do something wrong or are in trouble and talking doesn't cut it?

PUNCH them in the face?

You make no sense and as is almost always the case with you, you're talking out of both sides of that gaping maw of yours.

No, I trained them properly when they were toddlers, they don't get in much trouble nowadays.

But when they do, we talk it out or I take away something or a make them do extra chores or something. The spanking days are long gone.

And they worked!

Where We Came From
1. Did we evolve from monkeys?
Humans did not evolve from monkeys. Humans are more closely related to modern apes than to monkeys, but we didn't evolve from apes, either. Humans share a common ancestor with modern African apes, like gorillas and chimpanzees. Scientists believe this common ancestor existed
5 to 8 million years ago. Shortly thereafter, the species diverged into two separate lineages. One of these lineages ultimately evolved into gorillas and chimps, and the other evolved into early human ancestors called hominids.

Human Evolution
2. How did humans evolve?
Since the earliest hominid species diverged from the ancestor we share with modern African apes, 5 to 8 million years ago, there have been at least a dozen different species of these humanlike creatures. Many of these hominid species are close relatives, but not human ancestors. Most went extinct without giving rise to other species. Some of the extinct hominids known today, however, are almost certainly direct ancestors of Homo sapiens. While the total number of species that existed and the relationships among them is still unknown, the picture becomes clearer as new fossils are found. Humans evolved through the same biological processes that govern the evolution of all life on Earth. See "What is evolution?", "How does natural selection work?", and "How do organisms evolve?"
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/library/faq...
"This timeline of evolution of life outlines the major events in the development of life on planet Earth since it originated until the present day. In biology, evolution is any change across successive generations in the heritable characteristics of biological populations. Evolutionary processes give rise to diversity at every level of biological organization, from kingdoms to species, and individual organisms and molecules such as DNA and proteins. The similarities between all present day organisms indicate the presence of a common ancestor from which all known species, living and extinct, have diverged through the process of evolution."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_evol...
Do you honestly think that humankind is only 6,000 years old???
"How did humans evolve?
About six million years ago in Africa1, the chimpanzee lineage and our own split. What happened to us after that split? The hominid lineage did not march in a straight line to Homo sapiens. Instead, the early hominid lineage gave rise to many other (now extinct) hominids. Examining the fossils, the artifacts, and even the DNA of these relatives has helped us understand how this complex hominid tree evolved, and how modern humans came to exist."
http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evosite/evo101/...
Just google "what did humans evolve from" and that will take you to many sites which you can use to do your own research and to answer your questions.
Of course, you may prefer to think that the first man really was created from dust and you may continue to prefer to think that that was "evolution".
You'd be wrong, but I guess you would think you were taking the path of least resistance.....
Your answer still jumps the gun. How did any life evolve. What did we (any living thing) evolve from?

Wow- you keeping a loaded gun in the room of your minor teenage sons is right up there with many other examples of neglect- in this case, Inadequate Supervision- and examples of bad parenting- for which there really are no excuse:

"Exposure to hazards.

Examples of exposure to in- and out-of-home hazards include:

- Safety hazards—poisons, small objects, electrical wires, stairs, drug paraphernalia;

- Smoking—second-hand smoke, especially for children with asthma or other lung problems;

********-Guns and other weapons—guns that are kept in the house that are loaded and not locked up or are in reach of children;********

- Unsanitary household conditions—rotting food, human or animal feces, insect infestation, or lack of running or clean water;

- Lack of car safety restraints.25"

https://www.childwelfare.gov/pubs/usermanuals...

Uh...neglect is most definitely a form of child abuse, that you allow a loaded gun to be kept in your teenage son's room is indeed neglectful and is therefore most definitely CHILD abuse.

And not only is this just not MY opinion, it's actually FACT.

Would you like my address to send payment due me for doing research FOR you?

All you need to do is google for YOURSELF the following:

"what did life evolve from"

You will then see MANY sites come up that you should be able to research for yourself and then LEARN for yourself.

But I'll give you this additional information to help get you started:

"This timeline of evolution of life outlines the major events in the development of life on planet Earth since it originated until the present day. In biology, evolution is any change across successive generations in the heritable characteristics of biological populations. The dates given in this article are estimates based on scientific evidence.

*****The earliest life appears, possibly at Alkaline vents with the creation of the Last Universal Common Ancestor, possibly derived from self-reproducing RNA molecules.[6][7]*****

The replication of these organisms requires resources like energy, space, and smaller building blocks, which soon become limited, resulting in competition, with natural selection favouring those molecules which are more efficient at replication. DNA molecules then take over as the main replicators and these archaic genomes soon develop inside enclosing membranes which provide a stable physical and chemical environment conducive to their replication: proto-cells.[8][9][10]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_evol...

Of course, this may be totally futile on my part as I get the distinct impression you prefer to believe the FAIRY TALE that the first man was created from dust and then the first woman created from a rib of the first man.

I don't think that statement proves you to be insane, but it most certainly DOES prove you to be pathetic that you attempt to compare two foods being "delicious" together to that of the combination of CHILDREN having a LOADED gun in their BEDROOM- these very same children who you don't treat like TEENAGERS but who you treat like TEN year olds by making them go to bed at NINE PM.

So your kids are too young to stay up past 9PM but are NOT too young to have a loaded gun in their bedroom.

That IS pathetic.

HARDLY. After all, YOU are not my father.

Doesn't matter that your kids know how to handle a gun, blah, blah, blah.
