Oh I don't know.
Matthew 10:34: "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword."
Which, BTW one of several reasons Jesus was not the savior according to Hebrew prophesy, which clearly said that the messiah would bring peace on Earth within his lifetime (Isaiah 2:4).
So think about this Wilderide. In the Garden of Gethsemane, during the hour when Jesus was betrayed and arrested, Peter struck off the ear of the servant of the high priest in order to protect his Lord. But Jesus tells him to stop. Why? And what were Jesus words to Peter?

We know that Jesus never wielded a sword. So when Jesus is talking about a sword, he's talking metaphorically. Jesus denounced violence when relating to following God.

There is not a single verse in the New Testament that calls the Church to commit violence to spread the gospel or to plant churches or to accomplish anything else. Rather, the New Testament hands the sword over to the State (Rom. 13:1-6). In any case, Jesus says a spiritual sword, not a physical one, may sever family ties, so his disciples must be ready for that.

Why would someone have to disprove something for which there has never, ever been any proof?

Do we have to prove that the Great Pumpkin isn't real next?

"We can't bust heads like we used to. But we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for m'shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt. Which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say. Now where was I... oh yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.." ~ Grampa Simpson

they are different KINDS of the same species.

different but both are still human.
a lion, a lepard, a tiger, a cat.......... same spieces, but different "KINDS" of that specific species.
You are wrong, Patty, but at some level you must know that by now.

<quoted text>As I mentioned earlier, not all youth are physically beautiful but when one of the more attractive turns their attention to you it's hard to ignore, so, yes, I am less judgmental about the age differences when it comes to older guys wanting younger partners. I understand that it is flattering and that when a young person, who could have their pick of just about anyone chooses you, it can be very seductive, alluring. Not many older people can resist that skin. It works the same for both sexes. I think we're verging on graphic here, so I'm done.
I know what you're talking about. There's a client of mine. Much younger, she's absolutely beautifully stunning, absolutely gorgeous shape and killer green hazel eyes. She has already stated her intentions for me and was quite open and graphic about it. Was it an ego boost for me?
You betcha! It is a very seductive, alluring and sexually supercharged situation with her telling me about her fantasies and my role in them. But then again I had to wonder what a stunningly beautiful and successful 22 year old would want with a middle aged guy like me....

Yet none of the things you claim have happened, Patty. You keep making the same untrue claims, as if, in making them many times, they might gain some truth which they lack. But they don't.

There are not any witnessed, and proven, facts; there are none that have been proven. Prophesies haven't all come true. In fact none have come true. No archeological findings yet have proved anything about the Bible stories, except some names of places and names of some people that might have existed. None of that proves there is a god, or that the Bible is a factual account. We know that many parts of the Bible are untrue because man has, since the writing, proved those parts are untrue.

We have absolutely no information today except the claims of believers and the words of books, which are most likely all fictional, to even suggest the existence of a god.

You can't change that fact, Patty, by stating it another 60,000 times.

Patty, there is nothing wrong with you believing in something you were taught to believe in, if that makes you feel better about yourself and your life. What is wrong is when you use what you think is true, which is only what you 'believe' is true, as a weapon to attack other people, most of whom probably live, as a whole, a much better life, doing far more good in the world, than you could ever hope to do, and don't spend their time demonizing others who differ in how they perceive things.

When a person has a right to object to what others think or do is when what the others think makes than do harmful things to other people. What you think is making you do harmful things to other people every day you post on this site. How much harm you do to people in your actual real life in Russell Springs is anyone's guess, except for those who know you well, and of those who have given some information about you, it seems that what you do is not deemed as being all that great.

Patty, you claim I attempted to bring harm to you. How would attempting to get a mentally ill person help harm them? If my opinion, based on what I had learned from others, turned out to be wrong, then no harm would come to anyone. If my opinion turned out to be true, which every day it seems more and more likely it is, then my reporting, assuming people being reported to had been responsible and taken action, would have led to improvements in your life, assuming it didn't dig up some really nasty stuff about you which none of us know about.

Getting help from SS could not be anything but beneficial to you, if they did or do their job as they are suppose to do it. The police were not contacted to get you into trouble, but actually they were contacted to ask them for advice as to how to proceed with claims having been made that you are mentally ill, and that your mother, under you care is not safe.

It is one of the jobs of a police department to attempt to keep the people under their jurisdiction safe.

What you can't seem to understand, or so it seems, is that because you have accepted something that millions of people who have been taught to believe these things accept, they are then true. We know that nothing about God or Jesus has ever been confirmed as factual. We know that man has had many gods and prophets in our millions of years of history, and we also know that though there are many similarities in the stories that are told about these various gods, there is still not even a sliver of evidence to support any of these stories.

Okay, RR, fossil skulls are only pretend, but your buybull stories are... "real?" Even the catholic church is willing to consider that "god" may have acted through evolution.

Is this where you're going to tell me that the catholic church isn't "christian?" That'll come as quite surprise to the pope and about 600 million catholics. And also remember this:*your* religion is descended from the catholics.

Oh man....., I remember standing in line outside the old Fox Theater waiting for the doors to open back in the early 70's to see it. All I remember is that then I didn't care for the singing, but loved the purple and white good and plenty.
